Hello there!

Well, how'd we let so much time pass since we last blogged? Clearly it's not OUR fault since we're not the ones with thumbs but anyway, we're popping in today to say hey! We're all doing well. We're really getting used to being retired...

We do work every so often though. Mommy does bookkeeping for a couple of companies so recently we helped with payroll tax returns...

That was, well, taxing but thankfully it happens rarely. Another thing that happens rarely is Lexi is a tad bit calmer. As we type this, she's crazypants because of a squirrel outside but she does go for longer periods of time actually being still. When she's not still, she's playing with her toys all.day.long. She's definitely a Retriever...

Speaking of squirrels, one of my favorite past-times is watching Squirrel TV...

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a whirlwind of a weekend! Yeah, we relaxed a bit...

But we worked a bit too. Well, at least I did. Isabella continued relaxing. Mommy finally felt crafty for the first time in months so of course I helped...

She's also does workouts from her personal trainer but of course I have to snoopervise. Especially when she's on the evil foam roller...

Yesterday it was rainy and cold with temps in the 50s. I was freezing my patooty off until Mommy turned the furnace on so I could warm it up...

Ah, yes, it felt good...

The warm, sunny weather returns today so I'll make sure to relax a bit in a sunpuddle or two.

Finally Friday

We're glad it's finally Friday! It's been a long week of working, soaking up sunpuddles and doing the initial inspections in the half bath...

The new light is up, the floor is in, the storage drawer is complete and the cherry wood vanity doors are upstairs soaking up sunlight to darken them to a richer tone to match the drawer front. I hereby declare it's ready for completion...

Especially since the backsplash tile and trim finally arrived yesterday...

If all goes as planned, the noisy stranger will be here Monday morning to finally finish. The total work in this remodel is probably just a week but circumstances caused it to drag on and on. It's kinda like how long it'd take Isabella to do it in between her 20 hour naps. Just sayin.

Weekend Wrap Up

After a sunny and warm week, we had a rainy, cool weekend which meant indoor chores to catch up on. Mommy had a pile of old t-shirts that she needed to cut up and send to our Grandma in Las Vegas to use in a quilt. Yesterday she finally did it and it required my help...

With occasional birdie watching of course...

And some breaks just because...

Yeah, okay, this is exhausting. How about I just lay here and snoopervise?

We eventually got everything cut and will be sending them off to Grandma in Las Vegas soon. We can't wait to lay on the finished quilt! Thank you for making it for us, Grandma! 

We want to take this opportunity to pay tribute to one of our bestest kitty friends, JellyBean. She had to go to the rainbow bridge last Thursday. Our mommy had visited JB, her mom and five furblings in Texas so she knew firsthand how special JB was...

Our purrs and prayers are with JB's mom.

Wordless Wednesday: Long Day in the Office

Thank Cod It's Friday!

This last week of March was a doozy. There was no work done on our half bath after Mommy painted it last weekend. Supposedly it'll be done next week but we'll see. At least the faucet Mommy ordered arrived in a really cool box...

Our neighbor has a cat sitter staying with her kitties while she's away but he also had to go out of town for three days this week so Mommy took care of Dez and Callie.She felt bad she couldn't spend much time with them especially since Dez upped the cuteness each visit...

We're already 20 returns over what we prepared through the last day of tax season last year. That means we're extra exhausted. Thankfully spring has returned so we can relax in sunpuddles this weekend...

Monday is April and we're certainly ready. Just a couple more weeks until we can go back to part time for the rest of the year. It's a tough job being CPA cats but somekitties have to do it!

A Kitty's Work is Never Done

Somemommy was really late finishing a handmade present for Christmas. I know it's because I wasn't allowed to help since it involved glue and other secret stuffs we can't divulge so the recipient is surprised. Anyway, yesterday I helped pick the size of the box to package it up. This one is a tad too small...

She took my advice and used a bigger box. If it wasn't for me, who knows how much longer it would've taken her to get that package in the mail! Seriously, what would she do without me?

We have two more presents to make and then we might finally be done! Are you ready for Christmas in your neck of the woods?

We're glad this week is over! It's been filled with lots of work and lots of white...

It started snowing and getting icy on Wednesday. The only good thing about all that white is it made the birdies much easier to see...

Today we're helping Mommy get ready for Christmas. No surprise she's behind with a week to go. Some things never change. Thank Cod she has us!

For some unknown reason Mommy has logged on to work at o'dark:30 every day this week. Let's just say I'm not pleased...

One good thing about it is watching the birdies wake up as it gets lighter outside...

Mommy enjoys watching the sunrise over the Cascades...

If the sunrises are going to be an hour later next week after the time change, wonder if we can sleep in. I sure hope so.

PeeS: I'm still not jumping up on the counters all the time but I do some time. Yesterday I was more myself according to Mommy which is odd since I'm myself every day. I stayed with her all day in the office and followed her all over the house purring and asking for treats. I even chased a fly and jumped in the air to catch it! I'm doing better so thanks to everyone for your thoughts and purrs!

Finally Friday

After a busy week, we're glad it's Friday! We're so far behind on getting ready for Christmas that I hope Santa Claws doesn't pass us by! We had to work this week but we also had two days of webinars. One day was just two hours but yesterday was a squizillion eight long, grueling hours. No kitty should know as much about capital gains tax and S-corporations as I do now...

I had to watch it because somemommy procrastinated and needed 34 CPE credits before the end of the year. If you subtract out the ten hours of classes we had this week that means we have three more mind numbing eight hour classes in the next two weeks. Ay yi yi. Anyway, besides all that, I also helped make some Christmas presents too...

Mommy complained when I was sitting on her like that.

More complaints. Yeah, I know, she should be grateful. *sigh* A bit of good news I guess, I finally like my sisfur again and am actually cuddling with her...

It could be because it's super rainy, dark and cold here but it's mainly because Santa is watching I missed cuddling with her. Isabella is feeling a lot better and even plays with me more. Even though she lost all her teefs, she's still able to eat everything including Greenies. She was visited by the Tooth Fairy and we will be showing what she got when somemommy finds the time to help us get photos and blog about it. Anyway, after all that you can see why I'm so glad it's Friday! We hope you are too!
