It's the last Tortie Tuesday of the year so I wanted it to be a good one but Mommy is making me show one of our Christmas presents. It's a funky colored snake...

Finally Friday

We hope all our US friends enjoyed their Thanksgiving! I slept through it. All of it. Well, I did get up to eat but other than that, I slept. I'm up today just long enough to see what's on the Birdie Network. As you can see, I also got rid of that awful cone. I'm a good girl so I don't need it...

Anyway, I'm going to sleep through the rest of the day and probably the weekend too. I'll feel better soon though. Mommy says I have to, there's no other option.

I do want to thank everyone for all the purrs and prayers for me during all this. I can't begin to express how much it all means to me and my Mommy and Daddy!

PeeS: Mommy here: Isabella is eating very well despite losing all her teeth but she started sneezing Tuesday, the day before her dental surgery. We told the vet this on Wednesday but she said her lungs were clear and even sounded better than they had at the initial consultation several weeks ago. By the time Isabella got home on Wednesday her nose was very runny and she was sneezing a lot. Yesterday her eyes were watery and the sneezing was pretty constant. We started the antibiotics Wednesday evening so she's now had four doses and it seems to be working a little. If she's not better by tomorrow we'll take her in but we're trying to avoid another car ride. Also, we noticed they cut her nose in two places which is very upsetting and we have no idea what would have caused this. This has been such an ordeal for all of us but hopefully she starts improving and that Angel doesn't catch whatever she has either. Angel won't even be in the same room as Isabella so at least that's one good thing right now.

Ugh. Dreading this Day.

I have to go for a consultation with the dental specialist this morning to see what she thinks about my teefs. I really hate going anywhere in the car. I get so upset that I get sick which makes me feel bad and Mommy and Daddy too. So, wonder if they'll see me if I hide out in my Sleepypod instead...

I'm sure they'll find me. Drat.

PeeS: We were asked how old I am - I'll be 10 in January. Also, how many teefs do I have right now? Not many! I've always had bad teefs so some have been pulled at other cleanings. Because of my bad teefs, I have never chewed my food. Ever. I just swallow foods whole so Mommy has to make sure I don't get anything too big or rigid. This will help me be able to eat if I do have to have all my teefs pulled at least. 

Tortie Tuesday

I don't know about you but even though the time change was two weeks ago, I'm still not used to it.  When the alarm goes off at o'dark thirty I just know it's an hour earlier than it should be!   Regardless, I stretch out my voluptuous Tortie legs and go right back to sleep...

That is until Mommy's giggles wake me up...

Clearly she's a few hours sleep short of a full load.  Now if she'll just leave I can get back to my beauty sleep...

Moms are easily amused sometimes aren't they?

Tortie Tuesday

I have a reputation of being a kitty who loves to sleep is more reserved and while this is true, I do have crazypants moments.  For instance, last Friday it was nice out so Mommy opened the window and I went a little crazypants - can you tell?

Don't worry, it only lasted a few minutes...

Frankly being crazypants wears me out but it is fun to do from time to time.

Tortieness Update

I wanted to update everyone about what we found out from the new v-e-t but I'll let Mommy explain since she let me sleep in (again)...

Mommy here:  The vet said that Isabella does have a lower respiratory infection like bronchitis or asthma.  Her bloodwork came back good and no signs of diabetes but the vet wants her off prednisolone because it's causing her to gain weight and she said in time Isabella WILL have diabetes as a result of the meds.  She recommended an inhaler (AeroKat) so we ordered one and hope Isabella will let us give it to her.  She is extremely tolerate except she doesn't care for having her face touched, especially around her mouth.   The vet seems to think that when Bella figures out it's helping her breathe she won't mind it.  Time will tell but we wish we had done more to get her off the meds before now but we weren't told any different at the old vet.  An inhaler was mentioned but kind of as a last resort thing whereas it should've been the other way around - the meds are last resort!  

Isabella thanks everybody for the purrs and well wishes!  She's making sure she's taking it easy and getting plenty of rest!

Tortie Tuesday

We had a great time with our Daddy but we're glad that Mommy came home from Colorado yesterday.  I passed up a nap to keep an eye out for her...

I did have backup nearby in case it got too far past naptime...

But for the most part I stayed bright eyed...

And Tortie tailed...

We were both really happy when she got home though.  Now we can catch up on naps and missed treats since Daddy is a tad more stingy dishing them out than she is!
