Getting Spiffy for New Years...

I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky dog most of the time. A time when I'm not is when I have to be combed which I Hate with a capital H. I tolerate it but not for very long so imagine my surprise when I found out Mommy agreed to review a FURminator deShedding tool made especially for, ahem, big dogs with longer hair like me! What? Are you kidding?
My kitty sisfurs have one of those things and it was used on me - once. I did not like it one bit. But come to find out, size does matter! I was very surprised, and so was Mommy, to find out that a FURminator made for me really does work! I didn't let her comb me for long but I didn't mind it as much as I do my other comb. Also, each pass of the FURminator got more hair out of me then anything ever has. You know what that means? More productive combing means less combing! I like that part! Another part I liked was my reward...
For all of you woofies out there, I would recommend a FURminator to keep you looking all pretty like me for lot less trouble than with a regular comb. If you have a thick undercoat like I do, it even pulls out the hair underneath without you even knowing it.

For all you kitties out there, not only is the FURminator deShedding tool available in long and short hair varieties for dogs but now it's available in long and short hair varieties for cats too! Now all of us can get all spiffied up just in time for New Years!

Now back to my peanut butter!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday so I thought I'd show you what Santa Claws brought me for Christmas. I know that Sadie made it seem like she heard Santa and his reindeer on the roof but actually I was the one who heard him and told her after he left the presents. I've seen how she chases kitties out of our yard so I didn't want any reindeer being chased away...
Santa brought me a specially made Kansas City Chiefs nip mouse and oh is it good!
I also got a really comfy bed that I spent a lot of time kneading to make sure the stuffing was just right...
I brought my mouse on my bed and tried to enjoy the evening but my little sisfur was all nipped out on her jalapeno pepper mouse...
Hey Bella, look how my pepper is flying on this string like a kite...
Uh, Daddy, I think Angel might need a nip intervention!
Some kitties just can't handle their nip.

Hope you have a great Tortie Tuesday!

What Santa Brought Me...

We are very fortunate to have plenty of food, treats, toys and a warm, loving home every day of the year so we all decided to cut back on what we asked Santa for this year. Instead of loading us up with lots of stuff, we had Mommy and Daddy give bags of food, treats and toys to local animal shelters (and they almost came back with a *gasp* puppy). But, Santa did bring us all a few presents anyway...
One of my favorite presents I got was a nip mouse! It was so potent, Santa had to put it in a plastic bag so the smell didn't leave a trail of kitties behind his sleigh...
My nip mouse was made just for me and it's a jalapeno pepper mouse!
My sisfur Isabella got a Kansas City Chiefs mouse because she's a Daddy's Girl and that's his favorite team...
I love my jalapeno mouse! It makes me loco!
Muy loco!
Thanks Santa for my nip mouse! I love it way more than any puppy!

Nip. The best way to endure Mondays!

Enjoy your day,
Angel

Sadieday on Sunday...

We hope you had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed time with family and furiends! We had a nice, quiet Christmas with just the five of us relaxing in front of the fireplace waiting for Santa Claws. Did you hear that? Was that reindeer on the roof?
Santa must have come down our other chimney upstairs while we were staking out this one so we didn't see them but Mommy found the presents and passed some out for us to open...
Can you tell I was excited? Angel and Isabella found two little bitty presents for them but I saw that the big one was for me from Santa!
It is a big thingy of treats! After I got the paper off, I had to wait on Daddy to help me open them up so I could taste them. Do you see my tongue hanging out in anticipation?
Oh yeah, they were worth the wait!
Another present?
More treats? Mmmm.
Santa Claws was very good to me and my sisfurs this year and we hope he was to you too!

Hope you have a Happy Sadieday on Sunday!

Whatcha Think We're Doin'?

Mommy wondered what was going on when she found us together like this...
But we're not tellin'!

Do you have any guesses?

Hope you enjoy the day before Christmas Eve!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday and I'd thought I'd take a break from snoopervising present wrapping to remind you of an important gift that can't be put in a box and wrapped. No matter how much we enjoy toys and treats, the most important gift for Christmas and always is love.
It doesn't cost anything to show love and kindness to others and it sure makes the world a much better place. Now, let's get these packages wrapped up so we can go cuddle Mommy!
Sending lots of love and kindness your way this Tortie Tuesday and every day!

Purrs,
Isabella

Oregon Beauty

With a title of Oregon Beauty we know you're thinking of the three of us but we decided to take a little break today and show the other kind of beauty here in Oregon. We'll begin with a spectacular sunset we woke up to one morning. We've been getting so much rain here, we forgot there was a sun until it reminded us so brilliantly!
Speaking of all that rain, it has been leaving some pretty rainbows though like this one we saw out our back window. Sadie said she'll look for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow on her next stroll...
Mommy and Daddy went to the Victorian Christmas at Heceta Head Lighthouse again this year. This was the view of the lightkeepers house when they got there at dusk (about 4:30pm)...
and the view as they walked up to the lighthouse...
Almost there...
Heceta Head is the most photographed lighthouse in Oregon and we can see why...
Mommy loves the coast but since she also loves kitties we'll show you a very friendly one she came across when visiting the Brigittine Monastery in Amity, OR to buy some fudge and truffles (which she says are delicious but we don't know since we can't have chocolate)...
That kitty may be cute but I know one that's cuter!
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of the beauty here in Oregon!

Hope you have a Happy Sunday!

Stroll with Sadie!

It's Sadieday and time for another stroll with me! It's not raining today so it's a great day for a stroll. Are you ready to come along? Well then, let's go!
Mommy asked me where I wanted to go today and I know of the perfect place. I'll take you there, follow my tail...
Here we are! I took her where she can go off leash!
I made sure to sniff everywhere so she didn't step in dear doo-doo or something...
She was so excited she was moving too fast to take photos....
Her enthusiasm wore off on me and I was frolicking through the grass too...
I think we were both very happy with my decision!
I hope you enjoyed our stroll today too!

Enjoy your Sadieday!
