Oregon Beauty

With a title of Oregon Beauty we know you're thinking of the three of us but we decided to take a little break today and show the other kind of beauty here in Oregon. We'll begin with a spectacular sunset we woke up to one morning. We've been getting so much rain here, we forgot there was a sun until it reminded us so brilliantly!
Speaking of all that rain, it has been leaving some pretty rainbows though like this one we saw out our back window. Sadie said she'll look for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow on her next stroll...
Mommy and Daddy went to the Victorian Christmas at Heceta Head Lighthouse again this year. This was the view of the lightkeepers house when they got there at dusk (about 4:30pm)...
and the view as they walked up to the lighthouse...
Almost there...
Heceta Head is the most photographed lighthouse in Oregon and we can see why...
Mommy loves the coast but since she also loves kitties we'll show you a very friendly one she came across when visiting the Brigittine Monastery in Amity, OR to buy some fudge and truffles (which she says are delicious but we don't know since we can't have chocolate)...
That kitty may be cute but I know one that's cuter!
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of the beauty here in Oregon!

Hope you have a Happy Sunday!

Happy Sadieday!

It's Sadieday so you'd think I could lounge out on my own deck without an audience.
But no, some neighbor cat thinks it's Caturday.
Silly cat.
Hope you have a wonderful SADIEday!

PeeS: Usually I chase cats out of my yard and off my fence but I didn't want to exert myself on Sadieday plus I didn't want to have to run through that ugly rock patch that Mommy and Daddy still need to fix up. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Tortie Tuesday!

Nothing is better than a ball of Tortieness!

Tortie Tuesday!

Today's lesson is to always show your best side when getting your photo taken.
Of course with Torties, all sides are our best side!

Silhouette...

Mommy, rather than working, wouldn't you rather see my lovely silhouette?
How about this view?
What do you mean I'm in your way?

Tortie Tuesday!

Today's lesson in tortieness - don't settle for a one room box when you can have a multi-room, multi-level box!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

Prowling her own backyard or asleep by the fire, she is still only a whisker away from the wilds.

I'm pretty sure this quote includes stalking your sister while walking on banisters too!

Tortie Tuesday!

Today's Tortie lesson is to sit as rounded as you can yet show your tortieness from your front paw poking out from under your body to your nose to your back and ending on the tip of your tail!

And it's very important to always practice your big eyed innocent look - just in case!

Taking It Easy...

With the excitement of Christmas this past week and all our new toys to play with, we're taking it easy today. Yeah, okay, we take it easy every day but today we're doing it even more so.

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

Another Lazy Sunday

We plan to spend a relaxing Sunday watching football, baking cookies for the neighbors and their dogs (as if the dogs need cookies) and also wishing for sunlight once again!
Mommy picked this picture of me today because Colorado State University won the New Mexico Bowl yesterday and she got her Masters degree from CSU. Don't tell Mommy but that degree isn't any good because we know who the real Masters of the house are!

Taking care of business

Mommy and Daddy went to the coast for a few days - WITHOUT US! Can you believe that? But, Grandpa came from Kansas to take care of us so we'll still have a good time and get lots of treats. He finds our "cat rodeos" in the middle of the night amusing - or at least we think he does because we sure have a good time. Anyway, Mommy is hoping to have internet access but if not, we'll be here taking care of business. Daddy showed Isabella how to use his computer since Mommy is taking hers.
Hopefully she paid attention when he was showing her what to do. Dirty paws can be distracting.
One thing Mommy did want us to tell you about was that she had her very first blog interview posted last Friday by a talented Etsian Storybeader. If you want to learn a little more about our Mommy, be sure to visit Storybeader's blog ! If you want to learn more about Storybeader's Etsy shop, click here. Thank you Storybeader for doing such a wonderful interview!

Also, Mommy is now on Twitter and she'd love for you to follow her.

Now, it's time for a nap.

Sunday is Sofa Day!

Well, everyday is sofa day for me! I hope you have a nice relaxing Sunday!
Today is also Daddy's birthday! He's like a bazillion years old but we love him anyway!
Happy Birthday Daddy!

Tortie Tuesday!

Isabella says today is Tortie Tuesday! In other words, all kitties are an honorary tortie today so get to display an extraordinary amount of Catitude!

In addition, I want to give a shout out to DancingMooney! She is a talented jewelry artisan as well as a wonderful soap maker on Etsy whom I had the pleasure of meeting last Friday at a local craft show. She is one of the first Etsyians that I met when we opened shop last December and she happens to live in a town not far from me. I have been keeping tabs on her through her blog and also checking out new additions to her shop. Since she mentioned she was going to be at the craft show not far from here, I had to take that opportunity to go meet her in person and I'm sure glad I did! She is such a sweetie and if you read her blog you just can't help but like her. Being the handmade soap addict that I am, I bought some of her soap - it's smells as fantastic as it looks in the picture!

If you haven't already met DancingMooney, be sure to visit her blog and her Etsy shop! You'll be glad you did!
