Birdies Don't Have Tails!

We hope you had a nice holiday weekend! We had a quiet, relaxing time off enjoying our time together. After a few days of togetherness, I turned on the Birdie Network to get my TV fix but I clearly got a wrong channel...
Either that or birdies now have tails!
We both enjoyed watching the critter stuff its face with sunflower seeds...
Apparently it was watching us too...
Until the new neighbor cat came running over and interrupted the service...
Then the introoder cat gave us the evil eye until Mommy scared he/she off.
That cat has been hanging out in our yard which apparently is going to cause us poor signal reception. *sigh*

How was your holiday and weekend?

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We want to wish Happy Thanksgiving to our friends here in the U.S. and say how thankful we are for our friends throughout the world!

We have many things to be thankful for this year including...

A loving, furever home
Our good health
Snuggle buddies
Lots of toys to play with
Lots of comfy spots to nap

I could go on and on but it's time to bring on the turkey...
That's not quite what I had in mind.

Hope your home is filled with happiness, your heart if filled with love and your tummy is filled with yummy goodies!

Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours!
Isabella, Angel and our Mommy

Weekend Wrap Up

We're glad it's a holiday week because our weekend was too short. We didn't even have Friday night movie night until Saturday night...
Yesterday we got our blood test results from the home vet visit last Wednesday. She said our chemistry panels, thyroid and blood cell count results are all normal. She said we look great and are healthy! Of course we knew everything would be perfect but somemommy is a worry wart so she's relieved.

That was pretty much all our weekend excitement. Anything exciting happen in your neck of the woods?

Happy Monday!
Angel and Isabella

House Call Vet. Who Knew!

We knew something was up when Mommy was stressed out all day long and then Daddy came home early from work. They're pretty easy to read. Anyway, sure enough a vet came to our house yesterday afternoon for our check ups and senior blood panel work. Daddy took me upstairs until Mommy said everything was ready. I certainly wasn't ready!
I found myself on our own kitchen counter with the vet and her tech! They tried buttering me up by telling me how beautiful my eyes and furs are and how soft I am. I kinda fell for it and didn't try to escape too much. Then I found myself on my side with the vet whispering in my ear while the tech stole my furs and then my bloods from my back leg...
I finally was released and ran downstairs to my safe spot while it was Isabella's turn. Of course she loved the attention...
I heard she squirmed and squeaked more than I did though. She's had more experience with vets than me so she knew what to expect. She's the reason we had a vet come to our house - she gets very car sick. Our old vet moved to a practice in a neighboring town and even though it's 10 miles away, that's 9.95 miles more than Isabella can handle. Anyway, we both checked out to be very healthy although one of us is a little too, uh, not svelte. Hopefully our bloods are healthy too. We'll find that out in a couple of days. *paws crossed*

Hope you have a good day!

Mommy here: I was worried that having a vet in the house would traumatize the cats, especially Angel. She did very well during the exam and came out from hiding just as soon as the vet was gone. Isabella is always fine although she really didn't like to be held down to have her leg shaved and blood taken. It's probably because she's had that done quite a bit because of all her dental work due to stomatitis.  The house call fee was just $26 which is totally worth it not to have Isabella get car sick. The exam and lab fees were similar to a traditional vet fee so we're glad to have this option. If it's an option in your area, I would recommend it! Much less stress on the cats and on us!

Better Than a Cup of Tea...

A box full of me!
Fits me to a 'T' too!
I know, I know but it made me smile and I need it. Rumor has it a vet is coming to our house today to try to steal our bloods! They have to catch me first!

Has a vet ever came to your house for your check up?

Hope you have a purrfect kind of day!

Tortie Tuesday

I'm known for being a mellow and pretty positive Tortie but lately I'm beginning to wonder if halibut is about to freeze over. For one, Mommy has been cleaning house and we're not expecting guests for a whole week! Secondly, I went downstairs and she had two Christmas gifts to wrap! Two! I couldn't hide my shock...
She may look like my mommy but cleaning the house more than 2 hours before guests arrive and Christmas presents bought before Thanksgiving has me beside myself...
She even cleaned the dirty mirror right after that photo was taken! Who is this lady and what'd she do with my mommy?

Things may not be normal around here but it is Tortie Tuesday so I'm going to focus on my normal and take a long nap. That'll help.

Hope all is right in your world this Tortie Tuesday!

Monday Makeover

It's already mid-November and somemommy is on a mission to cross to-do things off her list before the end of the year (i.e. the start of tax season). One thing crossed off was replacing the foam and fabric on our Birdie perch...
It's much cleaner and nicer than the old stuff but the stripes kinda make me dizzy...
Angel, how is it for watching birdies?
Oh yeah, let me check Bella...
It's comfy and pretty purrfect for long hours of watching Birdie TV...
Quality control approves of this makeover...
I hear her to-do list involves relaxation in order to avoid her usual stressed holiday season. I'm pretty sure I'll approve of that too.

Do you have a year end to-do list too?

Hope you enjoy your Monday!

Beauty of Fall

Fall is the time of year when the beauty outside...
Is almost as beautiful as inside...
Also the naked trees makes it a whole lot easier to watch birdies!

Hope you have a happy day!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday and it's also election day here in the U.S....
Wake me when it's all over...
We'll be glad when this election is over. Somemommy has been stressed for awhile now. Purr therapy has helped but we're hoping that however things turn out today, our country comes together and we can put this all behind us. More love and treats, less bickering and bullying!

Hope you enjoy your Tortie Tuesday!

Weekend Wrap Up

The sun came out yesterday so I enjoyed relaxing in a sunpuddle with my buddy, BatCat...
Mommy thinks my buddy looks like a llama...
Whatever. She's weird.

Did you have a sunpuddle filled weekend?

Hope you enjoy your day!

It's Our 10th Gotcha Day!

Back on November 3, 2006, my sisfur Isabella and I were Gotcha'd by Mommy and Daddy and brought to our furever home! Isabella was almost 10 months old and I was a tiny 3 month old kitten...
Our angel sisfur Sadie didn't know what to think about us...
But she and I eventually became buddies...
Isabella has been my buddy from day one...
We're both happy we were Gotcha'd 10 years ago into our furever home with our mommy and daddy! We're very lucky kitties...
We're also grateful to have such wonderful blog furiends around the world!

Thanks for visiting us today and we hope you have a great day!

All is Well, Again.

Everything is right in our world again now that Mommy is home from Las Vegas. She had fun with Grandma from Vegas and enjoyed spending time with GJ's mum and dad and JB's mom/the carrot lady from TX. She was unable to see the Katnip Lounge mom due to work but hopefully next time. Our Aunt Dolly seemed to enjoy Mommy's visit...
It could've been from all the scritches...
We hear she's so spoilt she's rotten! So glad we're not! Well, we're not. Anyway, I have a brilliant plan to make sure Mommy stays home...
Or at least it assures I get to go with her...
Let's hope it works!

Hope your November is off to a great start!
