It's Our 10th Gotcha Day!

Back on November 3, 2006, my sisfur Isabella and I were Gotcha'd by Mommy and Daddy and brought to our furever home! Isabella was almost 10 months old and I was a tiny 3 month old kitten...
Our angel sisfur Sadie didn't know what to think about us...
But she and I eventually became buddies...
Isabella has been my buddy from day one...
We're both happy we were Gotcha'd 10 years ago into our furever home with our mommy and daddy! We're very lucky kitties...
We're also grateful to have such wonderful blog furiends around the world!

Thanks for visiting us today and we hope you have a great day!

Spreading Love on Sadieday

We remembered too late that August 17th was Black Cat Appreciation Day but we still want to take the time to spread the word that all cats (and woofies) deserve loving furever homes no matter what color their fur is.  Our sisfur Sadie knew this because when she became a part of this family, two of her sisfurs had black furs.  Her sisfur KC was a black chow mix...
And her sisfur Panther was a long haired black kitty...
There's no photos of Sadie and Panther together because unlike us, Panther didn't like woofies so didn't get within 5 feet of one.  Of course Sadie and KC did things together like go to the beach...
Can you spot KC in the Sadie Utility Vehicle (SUV)?
Help us spread the word that black kitties and woofies make wonderful pets with lots of love to give!  Sadie knew this and we do too!

Have a Happy Sadieday and weekend!  Spread some smiles today!

It's Our 5th Gotcha Day!

On this date five years ago, we were Gotcha'd by Mommy and Daddy to join their family with our big sisfur Sadie! I was a tiny little 3 month old kitten and I didn't even have dark spots on my back yet so I was mostly white...
My sisfur Isabella was 10 months old and already enjoyed boxes...
We've been snuggle buddies from the very beginning...
I'm buddies with my sisfur Sadie too although she doesn't always admit it...
We're very happy to have a wonderful furever home and lots of furiends around the world!

Thank you for helping us celebrate our 5th Gotcha Day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is Thanksgiving here in the U.S. so we're giving thanks for having a warm, safe home with lots of love, toys and treats. We're also thankful for good furiends all around the world and of course the turkey we are hoping to get today...
Angel, what are you doing stinking your nose in my post?
Oh not you too Sadie...
I am thankful for my sisfurs even if they are pains in the patooties sometimes.
We're wishing all of you many things to be thankful for too!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's Our 4th Gotcha Day!

Back on November 3, 2006, my sisfur Isabella and I were Gotcha'd by Mommy and Daddy and brought to our furever home with them and our big sisfur Sadie! Isabella was almost 10 months old and I was a tiny 3 month old kitten...
My sisfur Sadie didn't know what to think about us...
Maybe it was because I thought her water tasted better than ours...
Isabella has always taken such good care of me...
She's still my snuggle buddy today...
My big sisfur Sadie is my buddy too...
We're very happy this is our furever home and we have such wonderful blog furiends around the world! If you'd like to read the story of our Gotcha Day, click on our photos in the left sidebar.

Thanks for visiting us today and we hope you have a great day!

Tortie Tuesday

Today I was reminiscing about how four years ago at this time I was at the humane society waiting for my furever home. Many people came and saw me but I continued to wait for my real Mommy and Daddy to show up, which they eventually did on November 3rd, 2006. They couldn't resist this face...
After that day I have found out that I might have been passed by because I'm mostly black and black kitties are the least likely to be adopted for some reason. I'm glad my mommy and daddy didn't think that way and for everyone else who doesn't think that way either, many shelters are offering reduced adoption fees for black kitties at this time of year. Some even have reduced fees on black and/or orange kitties like me! Here's a couple:
Our adoption special will continue through the end of October. Adopt any black and/or orange cat for 50% off! In addition, if you are wearing Oregon State University colors you will receive $10 off the adoption fee of a cat not already on special or $10 off the adoption fee of any dog.
In recognition of the San Francisco Giants magical season and play-off appearance, we’re initiating a special “black and orange” adoption promotion. Through October 31, folks can adopt any black or orange cat for $9. Cats and baseball? It's a perfect match. Cats have 9 lives. Baseball has 9 innings and 9 players.

If you or someone you know is looking for a kitty, check out these specials or see if there are any in shelters in your area. Of course the shelters are careful about adoptions of black kitties near Halloween but now might be the time to find your new kitty!

Have you been lucky enough to have a black kitty?

Happy Tortie Tuesday!

Stroll with Sadie!

Yay it's Sadieday! It's time for another stroll with me! Today we are walking through the neighborhood again because there was a cougar found at a house close by where we walk and sightings of other cougars in the area so I need to keep my mommy safe and on her leash. Anyway, are you ready? Well, let's go!
I enjoy going on a stroll and we often see other dogs out walking their beans too. It makes me wonder about all the dogs out there that are still looking for a furever home like I have, wishing they could go on strolls through their own neighborhood...
because of that, I'd like to give some important information so if I could have your attention please...
This week is Petfinder's Adopt a Less Adoptable Pet Week and I think all pets are adoptable but I guess senior pets like me are one of those groups considered "less adoptable". There are lots of older dogs in shelters that deserve a loving home like I have with my mommy and daddy and sisfurs. If you or someone you know is considering adopting a dog, please look into senior dogs because we may not have puppy breath anymore but we have lots of love to give and lots more strolls to go on! And we're also very cute!
Thanks for your attention and also for going on a walk with me! I hope you had fun!
Enjoy your Sadieday!
