Tortie on Tax Day

Today is the official end of tax season and as we said last week, Mommy was supposed to go to Colorado and we were going to have a week off. Well, thanks to Mommy being a worry wart Mother Nature, she canceled her trip to stay home with us because of a snow storm in Denver...

She was looking forward to the after tax season party but we're glad she's home with us and Daddy.

Thanks Mother Nature for snowing in Colorado so Mommy is home with us...

Thanks for the birdies too!

Now, about that week off. We haven't prepared anything and we're wanting to change things up around here anyway so we may or may not post. We're all tired and really need the break to do nothing. Thanks for your patience with us!

Wordless Wednesday - Black and White

Ho Hum Hot Kinda Day

We're having a case of the hots here with temperatures near 90 degrees so the windows are closed which mutes the volume of our Birdie Network so I'm having to watch it on video...

It's never too hot for napping in sunpuddles either...

My sisfur Isabella had to go to the v-e-t yesterday because she has a front tooth loose and her gums are red.  The v-e-t said the tooth will fall out on its own like several others have since her last dental visit in February (Mommy didn't know this).  She also said her red gums are from gingivitis and isn't bad enough to warrant a cleaning yet or any meds.  Anyway, since it was so hot out and she got nervous in the car so she wasn't feeling too well last night...

She's feeling better after chillin' for a bit though.  

The v-e-t still can't believe that Isabella is a real Tortie since she is so mellow and easy going.  She said Torties are supposed to be high maintenance with a devilish streak in them but we don't know any Torties like that - do you?

It's Tortie Tuesday!  Today I'm reflecting on a recent visit to the v-e-t where I was told I'm healthy but that I may be a little bit too much Tortie.  Can you believe that?  How can there ever be too much of me?

I was told I need to be more "active".  Yeah, whatever.  I'm mellow - that's just the way I am!  Oh well.  All this talk of being active has made me sleepy...

I think the v-e-t was just jealous of my beautyness.  Whatever the case may be, it is important to be healthy and to be happy with your shape even if that shape is round!

I hope everybuddy enjoyed a nice holiday weekend!  Because of the holiday yesterday, today is sorta like a Monday but then tomorrow is Mommy's Friday which means we have to cram a whole work week into two days.  That's just exhausting!

The Blogging Business Artisans has monthly challenges and January's challenge by Storybeader is to attempt a new technique. Well, today I'm helping Mommy with something new - she's working with paint, paper and fabric which are three things she really needs help with! She wouldn't let me help with the painting and gluing the paper for some reason so you can see what's she done so far... She needs me to be the model for a kitty she's going to cut out from the black, fuzzy fabric. She has a white pencil but it won't draw on the fabric so she'll have to cut it out free hand. I hope this turns out well...
I guess she used another model because that certainly doesn't look like me! It's missing something too... That's better but the proportions are way off...
She wanted to put curtains on it but couldn't figure it out...
I couldn't help her because I was helping my sisfur look for birdies...
Wonder where she gets her inspiration!

As you saw yesterday, my sisfur Sadie wasn't happy with her present from Santa Claws but Angel and I got exactly what we wanted - an ESS! We've been wanting one furever and I was so excited I turned into a crazypants... The nip Mommy put on it might have contributed to my crazypantsness but still, I love our new ESS! Angel does too...
