Happy 4th of July!

In honor of Independence Day here in the USA, I thought I'd show you my all-American Tortie portrait...

I know what you're thinking, my portrait should be hanging in the Smithsonian's American Art Museum. I think so too but I haven't been contacted by anyone in D.C. yet.

Anyway, since it's the 4th of July, we hope everybuddy stays safe inside.  So far the fireworks here haven't been too bad so paws crossed tonight goes okay too. We'll be huddled downstairs just in case because my sisfur Angel gets scairt.  Nothing bothers me.  Ever. Well, except for my naps being disrupted.

Tortie Tuesday

I hope everyone had a safe holiday yesterday! We enjoyed a nice, relaxing day with no fireworks nearby although we could hear some in other parts of the city. They didn't bother me near as much as when Mommy put yesterday's photo prop around my neck...

Don't worry, I showed that tinsel heart who was boss...

In case you're wondering why Angel wasn't part of the holiday photo shoot, well, let's just say she was more interested in sniffing the heart...

Yeah, I know, she's so cute somemommy can hardly stand it. Whatever. One thing she's not is Tortilicious!

Fourth of July Weekend!

Tomorrow is the 4th of July which is a big celebration for the USA filled with noisy booms. I'll be celebrating from under the nearest bed or inside the closet or my cubby...

However you celebrate, we hope you have a Happy Independence Day!

Weekend Wrap Up

Boy am I glad that weekend is over!  What started out as a lovely holiday weekend relaxing with my sisfur Isabella...

Made a turn for the worse at noon on Friday when the neighbor kids started shooting off fireworks! 

Those may look like little fireworks but they whistle really, really loud!  The worst part is as the day goes on those little fireworks turn into BIG fireworks that make huge booms!  Here's their stash the next day - two bags full and the monsters in front...

Is it safe to come out yet?

Thank Cod that's over for another year!  Of course Isabella didn't even notice anything was going on.  She's weird.

PeeS:  Mommy ended up giving me three doses of Rescue Remedy, turned on two loud fans and kept me upstairs away from the noise out front but I still kept hiding in the closet.  When it got quiet I did come out for treats which is something I've never done on the 4th in the past. There were just a few fireworks in the neighborhood the rest of the weekend but not from the kid next door so I ran but then quickly came back out.  Maybe this was because of the Rescue Remedy?  Either way, I definitely prefer there to NOT be fireworks. Ever!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday, the bestest day of the week!  In honor of Independence Day tomorrow, I thought I'd show you my all-American Tortie portrait...

Anyway, since tomorrow is the 4th of July, fireworks might start going off tonight so we hope everybuddy stays safe inside.  We'll be huddled downstairs because my sisfur Angel gets scairt.  Nothing bothers me.  Ever.  Mommy has been giving her Rescue Remedy all week to hopefully calm her so we'll see.  I haven't had any since Mommy says I'm so mellow I'd turn into a Tortie slug.  Whatever.

Happy 4th of July!

Earlier this week our Canadian friends celebrated Canada Day and today we are celebrating Independence Day here in America! We love celebrations but we HATE the fireworks part of this day.

Mommy got us this lame flag type thingy but it did flip in the air really good when we started tossing it around!
