Earlier this week our Canadian friends celebrated Canada Day and today we are celebrating Independence Day here in America! We love celebrations but we HATE the fireworks part of this day. 
Mommy got us this lame flag type thingy but it did flip in the air really good when we started tossing it around!

Happy 4th! We like the pictures today. We don't like the big fireworks either but what we *really* hate is firecrackers (they are supposed to be illegal in the town limits, but that doesn't stop anyone!) So we completely understand, and we hope you have a very happy Caturday/Sadieday anyway!

I hate having to turn on the air conditioning in the house to muffle the fireworks sounds for the kitties. I'm with them--I just hate firecrackers for the sake of noise. And it seems to go on for days around here.

I'm not keen on the fireworks and firecrackers, either! The good news was that the tornado watch and thunderstorms kept it to a minimum last night... the bad news... did I mention I don't like thunder and lightning, either?

Happy 4th of July! We hope that the biggest and bestest hot dog falls off the grill for all of you today.
Many before us, and sadly, many after us will shed our most precious asset - the blood of our youth - to preserve the freedom(s) we hold so dear. Let us remember our valiant troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan and pray that all of them will come home to celebrate Independence Day with us once more.
