Role Reversal

Boy am I glad it's Friday. I don't know what's got into Mommy but she's been cleaning out stuff all week long. I snoopervised as she cleaned out her jewelry box...
Usually Angel is the one who helps Mommy while I hold down my bed but not this time...
She's spoilt. Anyway, it's a long weekend for us since both Mommy and Daddy are off work until Wednesday. Hopefully I get time off too so I can catch up on my beauty sleep. Being awake Snoopervising is tough to do but someTortie has to do it.

Do you have any plans for this weekend?

Happy Friday!

Tortie Tuesday

Before I can start my relaxing day, I have to help Mommy clean out one of her bead boxes...
After filling a bag weighing more than me, we're finally done...
Now if you'll excuse me, it's time to enjoy my Tortie Tuesday...
I hope you enjoy Tortie Tuesday too!

Zzzzzz,
Isabella

Weekend Wrap Up

For the first hot weekend of summer, Mommy and Daddy went to the coast to cool off. It was only 68 degrees in Yachats while it was 100 here at home. That, and the views, are why it's Mommy's happy place..
For some reason we didn't get any seafood or even one lonely birdie...
We got something better - a box!
It's so big and awesome - I love it! Paws crossed it makes it pass recycle day tomorrow!

How was your weekend?

Hope your last week of June is off to a great start!

Take Two Cats and Call Me in the Morning

Yesterday morning Mommy had a horrible headache causing her to log off work an hour early to lay down and relax. Trouble is she said she couldn't relax because she felt like she was being watched. I have no idea what she meant...
Isabella had her eyes closed while holding Mommy down so I didn't see anykitty looking at her. That headache clearly made her hallucinate! Anyway, she felt better after a while. No doubt thanks to our help. What would she do without us?

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Tortie Tuesday

You know you were raised by an Alaskan husky when temps in the upper 80s make you melt...
Yeah, okay, so the air coming out from under the cabinet is 75 degrees but still, it's hot.

Is the weather toasty in your neck of the woods?

Enjoy your Tortie Tuesday!
Isabella

PeeS: Our A/C is always set at 75 during the day because that's the warmest our sisfur Sadie could handle comfortably. As soon as the temp hit 76 she would pant. Loudly. At night it had to be 70 or below or I was the only one who could sleep through her panting all night long. I can sleep through anything. Anyway, Sadie had an internal thermostat and she got us all adjusted to those temps too!

Flashback Friday

Next Thursday will be the 5th anniversary of our sisfur Sadie going to the Rainbow bridge. This is the last picture taken of me and Sadie together...
She taught me so much. I still follow Mommy all over the house. I greet her at the door when she's been out. I race her up the stairs (and I always win!). Sadie was the bestest woofie sisfur ever! No woofie could ever replace her in our hearts. We miss her. We miss her smile.

Hope you have lots to smile about this weekend!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday - my favorite day of the week! I celebrate my Tortieness every day but today I wanted to show you my beautiful Tortie markings...
Do you notice the difference in my markings from one side to the other? It's like two Tortie halves were put together making one whole beautiful me! We're all made up of differences which makes us all beautiful! Only some of us have Tortitude though. Just sayin.

Hope all is beautiful in your neck of the woods today!

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a lazy kind of weekend around here. Between allergies and changes in the weather, our mommy felt pretty crabby crappy all weekend. I did my best at holding her down though...
Despite not feeling well, she took care of the next door neighbor kitties while their mom was away. She introduced them to their first plague rat...
She also took them our crochet snake to play with...
We'd lost interest in it but Dez really enjoyed it...
He's such a cutie pie. Anyway, we plan on taking it easy today since it's back to work tomorrow. It's a tough job being holder downers but somekitties have to do it!

How was your weekend?

Hope you have a great day!

Watch Cats

Dogs aren't the only ones who are good at watching for intruders. We are great watch cats! No intruder will get by us...
Yes, we can see through closed eyes. We're skilled. Seriously.

It was a long week and we're glad it's the weekend. How was your week?

Enjoy your weekend!

Daddy's Girls

Daddy does his best to give us both lots of attention but there's a Tortie tummy in need of scritches....
Maybe Daddy needs more hands.

Is there such a thing as enough attention or should we always have more?

Happy halfway to Friday!

Snoopervising

Somemommy thought she'd make beady goodies while I was napping. Thank Cod I woke up before anything was made...
She should know by now that an inspection must be done first...
Nothing gets by me...
Inspection complete. You may proceed Mommy...
What would she do without me? It's a tough job being a snoopervisor but somekitty's got to do it!

Did you do anything exciting this weekend?

Hope you have a fabulous day!

Trying Something New

Mommy is trying to step our of her comfort zone this year. When her talented, artsy friend asked her to go to an art journaling class she said yes despite her inner voice screaming no way Jose! It was even more intimidating when the class was taught by the lady who designed the journal they used...
It was very difficult for mommy to retain some semblance of order in the midst of the messy chaos that art journaling entails. The mat under their work was supposed to double as their paint palette. Mommy put her paint on a Christmas paper plate she brought. Notice the nice, neat paint puddles not touching...
The Media journal is unique in that it has different mediums as pages. These are two watercolor paper pages with a burlap page in the middle. An ivory card was taped in the middle too...
These are craft paper pages...
This one is canvas and the flowers are drawn on with Scribble Sticks...
The class was six hours long and Mommy was completely overwhelmed. Art journaling peeps speak a whole different language so three minutes into the class she gave up trying to understand what they were talking about. Dina did show the class Mommy's tulips as an example of an alternative to the faces the entire rest of the class was drawing on their canvases. After class was over, Mommy was asked what she thought. All she could say was she was overwhelmed. There was just too much for her left brain to process. She did enjoy spending the day with her friend and she also talked to Dina about her Ragamuffin kitties. She even showed her a picture of us and Dina said we were very cute! Anyway, we're glad it's Friday and all of us are looking forward to movie night tonight...
What's an example of how your peeps have stepped out of their comfort zone?

Happy weekend to you!
