Happy Summer!

We've been practicing our lazy summer days for awhile now...
Notice we aren't cooperating by looking at the camera? We don't have to because we now have a ham of a sister who does what she's told...
She's weird.

Seven years ago tomorrow, June 22nd, our sister Sadie went to the rainbow bridge. In honor of her, we hope you take time for a Sadieday stroll...

Hope your summer is off to a great start!

Celebrating Sadieday

This week has been difficult as we remember Sadie. Six years ago today she had to go to the Rainbow bridge. We still miss her every single day. She was such a sweet big sisfur...
She had the biggest smile ever...
And we can't forget her cutie patootie!
She was a happy girl so we know she wouldn't want us sad. In her honor, we're celebrating Sadieday all weekend by doing what she would've done - enjoying every moment!

We hope you enjoy your Sadieday too!

Flashback Friday

Next Thursday will be the 5th anniversary of our sisfur Sadie going to the Rainbow bridge. This is the last picture taken of me and Sadie together...
She taught me so much. I still follow Mommy all over the house. I greet her at the door when she's been out. I race her up the stairs (and I always win!). Sadie was the bestest woofie sisfur ever! No woofie could ever replace her in our hearts. We miss her. We miss her smile.

Hope you have lots to smile about this weekend!

15th Gotcha Day Flashback

We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend! Today we're remembering our angel sisfur Sadie on what would've been her 15th Gotcha Day into our family. Yep, it was in the middle of tax season that this little 8 week old puppy became a member of our family. We hope you enjoy this flashback to a previous puppy post to celebrate this day!
*************************************************************
Today would have been our sisfur Sadie's 15th Gotcha Day!  We thought cute puppy photos of her would be the perfect way to begin the weekend so here's Sadie as she strolled into Mommy and Daddy's hearts...

She sure was a cute little baby wasn't she?

It's easier to see how small she was next to Daddy...

And here she is with our other angel sisfur KC who was 40 lbs.  Sadie grew up to weigh twice that...

We hope you enjoyed seeing Sadie's baby pictures!  They sure started our week off with a smile and we hope you're smiling too!  Be sure to spread those smiles around and brighten someone else's day too!

We hope you have some treats in Sadie's honor!  Enjoy your day!

PeeS:  If you haven't read about how Sadie became a part of our family, you can do so here if you'd like.

Tortie Tuesday

Today is Tortie Tuesday but it's also a flashback day because I'm thinking of our angel sisfur Sadie. It would've been her 15th birthday today so I know she's at the Rainbow Bridge watching over us...
We have a picture of her at her favorite place on the coast watching over us every day...
Not a day goes by that we don't think of her and we all miss her very much. Time does heal some of the pain but it will never take away our memories of her smile.

On this Tortie Tuesday in honor of Sadie, be sure to wear a smile and spread it to others. She'd like that very much.

Hug someone you love today!

Memorial Day Weekend Eve

We're so glad it's finally Friday especially since it's a long, holiday weekend!  Since Memorial Day is on Monday, we're going to flashback to the last Memorial Day weekend stroll with our sisfur Sadie in 2012.  This was soon after she was recovering from a surgery so she was very happy to go out on a stroll.  We hope you enjoy seeing her beautiful smile on this particular weekend!
***********************************************
Yay it's Sadieday!  I got my stitches out last week but my neck is still itchy (that's my story and I'm sticking to it) so let's go on a stroll where I can trust Mommy off leash.  Are you ready?  Leash up your beans if necessary and let's go!
There's a shadow Monster chasing me!  RUN!
It wasn't a Monster, it was just my Mommy.  Ha roo roo!
The trail is a little rough so I won't go so fast.  Mommy is a tad clumsy so I don't want her to fall like she's been known to do...
Even at a slow pace, it's fun to take a stroll on a Sadieday!
I hope you can take a stroll on smooth trails in your neck of the woods today!

We hope she gave you a big smile that lasts all weekend long!  Be sure to spread that smile to others since you never know who's day you'll change with a smile!

Hope you have a Happy holiday weekend too!

Finally Friday!

It's finally Friday!  We're still trying to adjust to life after tax season.  Mommy made a to-do list of everything she's put off the past 3.5 months but of course it's different than our list.  Our's includes spending more time catering to our every need but her's includes weird things like boring house things.  She's also trying to get out more after being inside all.the.time.  To do this, she's been going on hikes in the forest...
This may come as a surprise but our mommy is a little chicken of being in the forest by herself.  Okay, she's a lot chicken but she just loses herself in happy memories of going on those same strolls with our angel sisfur Sadie...
How could she not enjoy remembering Sadie's sweet smile?
One thing Sadie loved most about hiking in the spring was mud puddles...
So it made Mommy smile when she saw a pretty girl name Molly enjoying mud puddles too...
Yeah, okay, her eyes may have leaked a little after that but she still smiled a lot too.  Anyway, she's off work until next Wednesday and Daddy is taking off today so they'll have a long weekend together.  Guess that means it'll be awhile before she finally gets to the things on our list.  Oh well, gives us time to rest up after tax season too!

We hope you have a great weekend filled with lots of smiles!  Be sure to spread those smiles around so they brighten someone else's day too!

Happy weekend!

We Need a Smile on Sadieday!

After a couple of days of sadness we are in desperate need of a smile.   Our sisfur Sadie's smile is just what we need to help us smile too...
We're smiling, how about you?

When we're feeling down, a smile can pick us up and it does the same for others so spread some smiles around this Sadieday!

Have a Happy Sadieday and a wonderful weekend!
