Until We Meet Again

 Isabella

January 10, 2006 - January 23, 2024

We're sad to announce that Isabella went to the Rainbow Bridge last Tuesday. She made it to 18 and had been doing well until we woke up on Monday to her being ill. The vet treated her with fluids for low blood pressure and low glucose and she was well enough to return home that evening. The next morning she was showing some of the same signs and when the vet called saying her white blood count was high and she wanted to do more tests, we chose to not put her through all that. Such a hard decision but we know it was the right one. She is once again with her sisfurs Sadie and Angel. We know they're cuddling in a sunpuddle waiting until we meet again. For now, our hearts are broken.

Forever an Angel

 Angel

8/3/06 - 1/2/23

It is with very heavy hearts that we let you know that we lost our sisfur, Angel today. We found out last Wednesday that she had cancer. She spent her last days as she did her whole life surrounded by love and her every wish catered to. If love could've cured her, she would've lived forever. Our hearts are broken but we know that she is with Sadie now.

Celebrating Sadieday

This week has been difficult as we remember Sadie. Six years ago today she had to go to the Rainbow bridge. We still miss her every single day. She was such a sweet big sisfur...
She had the biggest smile ever...
And we can't forget her cutie patootie!
She was a happy girl so we know she wouldn't want us sad. In her honor, we're celebrating Sadieday all weekend by doing what she would've done - enjoying every moment!

We hope you enjoy your Sadieday too!

Weekend Wrap Up

After a sunny and warm week, we had a rainy, cool weekend which meant indoor chores to catch up on. Mommy had a pile of old t-shirts that she needed to cut up and send to our Grandma in Las Vegas to use in a quilt. Yesterday she finally did it and it required my help...
With occasional birdie watching of course...
And some breaks just because...
Hey Angel, you're a slacker...
Don't worry Mommy, I'm here to help you...
I can't work these though. I don't have thumbs...
Yeah, okay, this is exhausting. How about I just lay here and snoopervise?
We eventually got everything cut and will be sending them off to Grandma in Las Vegas soon. We can't wait to lay on the finished quilt! Thank you for making it for us, Grandma!

We want to take this opportunity to pay tribute to one of our bestest kitty friends, JellyBean. She had to go to the rainbow bridge last Thursday. Our mommy had visited JB, her mom and five furblings in Texas so she knew firsthand how special JB was...
Our purrs and prayers are with JB's mom.

We hope you savor every moment of your Monday!

Holiday Memories

Today would've been our angel sisfur Sadie's 16th birthday and although she's been at the bridge for 4.5 years, we still think of her often especially during the holidays. She loved presents and was quite the snoop...
Of course with her sweet face she was always on Santa's nice list...
These memories made us smile and we hope they made you smile too! She loved spreading smiles around!

Happy Birthday at the bridge sweet angel Sadie!
We miss you and love you always!

Finally Friday

We had one of those weeks that we wish had been different. The hurricane in Florida has us worried about our friends there. It was rainy, cold and dreary here all week which meant no open windows. The weather change gave Mommy a headache most days. Work was busy because of the beginning of the month stuff to do plus the 10/15 tax deadline stuff to do. But the very worst of all was our friend Ciara from The OP Pack in Kansas went to the Bridge yesterday. Our hearts are heavy and we're just not in the mood to do much of anything today...
It's so very hard when we lose our friends but it does remind us to appreciate each other every day. We know the sun and our smiles will return but until then, we're going to snuggle and enjoy our weekend together.

Our thoughts and purrs are with those in Florida and along the east coast and also with Ciara's mom, dad and brother Lightning.

Hope you know you're appreciated!

Remembering a Special Woofie on Sadieday

Last month our woofie friend Whisky from the Furries of Whisppy joined our sisfur Sadie at the Bridge.  Although it broke our hearts that she had to go, we know she met up with Sadie and started dishing the dirt about living with kitties because Whisky lived with a whole herd of kitties including her little Tortie sisfur Tutu!  Whisky loved her kitty furblings so we had a huge soft spot in our hearts for her and wanted to do something special for her mom.  We had Edi from Memories for Life engrave a pendant of Whisky and we made a necklace...
Of course our resident Tortie gave it the patented Tortie Taste Test...
We used pink beads because they reminded us of Whisky and her lovely mom too...
The back of the pendant has Whisky's name on it.
Uh, Angel, we can't see it...
I was just pointing it out!  Is it my fault my feets are so floofy?  Sheesh!  Sometimes supermodels just aren't appreciated...
Anyway, we're glad we were able to make this special necklace in memory of Whisky.  We know there was a guiding paw helping us with it too...
After a delay by the post office, the necklace has been delivered to Whisky's mom in Malaysia.  We hope it brings her smiles and happy memories of her sweet girl Whisky!

We hope you have lots to smile about this Sadieday too!  Be sure to spread those smiles around because you never know who's day you'll change by that smile!

Enjoy your Sadieday and weekend!

Good Bye Sweet Jasper

Today one of our first blogging friends, Ginger Jasper, went to the Rainbow Bridge.
Our hearts are broken that he has left his mum and dad but we are grateful he was here for two years longer than his vet had thought when he first got ill.  He was truly a miracle and a very special, handsome boy and we'll miss him dearly.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his mum and dad at this time.  If you haven't stopped by their blog, you can do so by clicking here.

Strolling over the Bridge on Sadieday

Although we're sad to say that our Uncle Samy from Las Vegas had to go to the Bridge this week, we know that our sisfur Sadie was waiting for him so her shadow has been replaced with him strolling beside her today...

Uncle Samy would have been 13 in two weeks and he had diabetes for many years but had remained healthy until recently because of the love and care he got from our Grandma.  Even she said he was spoiled and proud of it!  He was also pretty darn cute...

Our thoughts and purrayers are with our Grandma from Las Vegas.  We know Samy is now enjoying strolls with Sadie and neither one of them would want us to be sad so spread some extra smiles this weekend in honor of Samy!

Enjoy your Sadieday and weekend!

Friday Features

It's time for Friday Features and today's features are inspired by the beautiful Tortie Admiral Hestorb. We just found out last night that Admiral had to sail to the Bridge and we're just heartbroken for her mom, Carole. We'll miss Admiral terribly but hopefully my picks can help us smile.

On a happier note, as a result of Sadie's birthday commenthon, we'll be sending at least $50 to the Senior Dog Rescue of Oregon! (If the comments increased after we last checked, we'll send more!) Sadie sends thanks to all her friends for the birthday wishes!

Goodbye Sweet Sniffie

Our furiend Sniffie had to be helped across the Bridge today. Sniffie was one of the first kitties we met when we started blogging. She was so beautiful and so sweet and we feel like she was a part of our family. We're sending comforting purrs to her mom and dad and furblings.
Sniffie, we are going to miss you very much!

Remembrance

Today I would like to dedicate my post to two of our furbabies who are no longer with us. For the past two years, August 29th has been filled with sorrow due to the passing of Panther in 2006 and KC in 2007. I know the date is a coincidence in that both crossed the Rainbow Bridge on August 29th and also that it falls the day after my birthday but it makes today rather difficult as we miss Panther and KC greatly.

August 8, 1988 - August 29, 2006

KC
