Stroll Down Memory Lane this Sadieday

These photos are from five years ago today - hard to believe it was that long ago! - but we thought they were cute so wanted to share our Sadieday memories. Hope you enjoy!
************************************************
We found a new channel that we could all enjoy...
We even got to see the extended version...
Until Sadie started flipping for another channel...
But she found one that we all liked...
That tail looks fun to play with...
This channel is so realistic we can almost smell it huh Sadie? Sadie? SADIE!
Great. She went and changed the channel. With a face like her's we can't be mad though...
Hope this stroll down memory lane brought a smile to your face! Be sure to spread that smile around since you never know who's day you'll brighten with a smile!

Hope you have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend!

Finally Friday

After having a couple weeks of the hots, thankfully this week has been in the low 80s which is about normal for here. This means the windows aren't shut first thing in the morning and I couldn't be happier. I love open windows and the feeling of freshness on my floofy face whether I'm in this window...
Or this one...
Or even this one...
The only thing that distracts me from the bliss of feeling the sun on my furs is Birdie TV...
I hope the hots stay away so I can continue to enjoy open windows. Can you tell how happy they make me? I realize my smile is not as obvious as our sisfur Sadie's was...
But trust me, I'm one happy kitty!

I hope you had a reason to smile this week too! Be sure to spread those smiles around since you never know who's day you can change with just your smile!

Enjoy your Friday! Have a great Sadieday and weekend!

Memorial Day Weekend Eve

We're so glad it's finally Friday especially since it's a long, holiday weekend!  Since Memorial Day is on Monday, we're going to flashback to the last Memorial Day weekend stroll with our sisfur Sadie in 2012.  This was soon after she was recovering from a surgery so she was very happy to go out on a stroll.  We hope you enjoy seeing her beautiful smile on this particular weekend!
***********************************************
Yay it's Sadieday!  I got my stitches out last week but my neck is still itchy (that's my story and I'm sticking to it) so let's go on a stroll where I can trust Mommy off leash.  Are you ready?  Leash up your beans if necessary and let's go!
There's a shadow Monster chasing me!  RUN!
It wasn't a Monster, it was just my Mommy.  Ha roo roo!
The trail is a little rough so I won't go so fast.  Mommy is a tad clumsy so I don't want her to fall like she's been known to do...
Even at a slow pace, it's fun to take a stroll on a Sadieday!
I hope you can take a stroll on smooth trails in your neck of the woods today!

We hope she gave you a big smile that lasts all weekend long!  Be sure to spread that smile to others since you never know who's day you'll change with a smile!

Hope you have a Happy holiday weekend too!

Finally Friday!

It's finally Friday!  We're still trying to adjust to life after tax season.  Mommy made a to-do list of everything she's put off the past 3.5 months but of course it's different than our list.  Our's includes spending more time catering to our every need but her's includes weird things like boring house things.  She's also trying to get out more after being inside all.the.time.  To do this, she's been going on hikes in the forest...
This may come as a surprise but our mommy is a little chicken of being in the forest by herself.  Okay, she's a lot chicken but she just loses herself in happy memories of going on those same strolls with our angel sisfur Sadie...
How could she not enjoy remembering Sadie's sweet smile?
One thing Sadie loved most about hiking in the spring was mud puddles...
So it made Mommy smile when she saw a pretty girl name Molly enjoying mud puddles too...
Yeah, okay, her eyes may have leaked a little after that but she still smiled a lot too.  Anyway, she's off work until next Wednesday and Daddy is taking off today so they'll have a long weekend together.  Guess that means it'll be awhile before she finally gets to the things on our list.  Oh well, gives us time to rest up after tax season too!

We hope you have a great weekend filled with lots of smiles!  Be sure to spread those smiles around so they brighten someone else's day too!

Happy weekend!

Happy Fall!

Happy first Sadieday of Fall!  We've had a chilly, rainy week so have been watching the leaves fall behind closed windows.  Our sisfur Sadie enjoyed strolling through the first falling leaves every year...
They always made her smile...
It's important to do whatever makes your heart happy!  The resulting smile will brighten your face as well as the faces of others.  Spread some happy smiles this Sadieday and every day!

Have a wonderful Sadieday and a great weekend!

Stroll Down Memory Lane on Sadieday

Last weekend Mommy went on a hike in Beazell Memorial Forest to test out her new flashy box and when she was downloading the photos they brought back her own memories of a time she was on that hike before.  For instance, this path up into the trees...
Our sisfur Sadie went running up that same path two years ago...
And this pathway through the trees...
Made Sadie smile really big!
We hope you smile really big today and make memories of your own!  Be sure to spread those smiles because you never know whoooooo you'll make smile too!
Hee hee!  Owl bet it took you a minute to figure that one out! :)

Hope you have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend!

Memorial Day Weekend

It's Memorial Day weekend and our thoughts are with the men and women who have fought and died for our country.  We are grateful for their service and our freedom.  Our thoughts are also with our friends and loved ones that we've lost like our sisfur Sadie...

She always had that big ole smile on her face and of course she had a cutie patootie too...

As you remember those who've affected your life this holiday weekend, don't forget to express your love and gratitude for those still with us.  Also remember to spread smiles today and always!

We hope you have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend!
We'll be back on Tuesday!

Strolling Down Memory Lane on Sadieday

It's Sadieday and since we've been a little outta sorts lately missing our sisfur Sadie, we thought we'd share some memories of her today.  Even though she was a woofie, she was the bestest big sisfur we could ask for.  When we first became part of this family in 2006, Sadie didn't know what to make of us.  The kitties who came before us, Reebok and Panther, always ran from her so she thought chase was a game all kitties played.  Well, we didn't run which confused her so much!  Eventually we taught her the ways of being a kitty such as the joys of a box...
The joys of napping...
Just hanging out together...
As much as she loved doing kitty things with us, her greatest joy was strolling on Sadiedays...
We hope you do something to bring you joy today!  As with every Sadieday, be sure to smile and make someone else smile too!  That's what our sisfur would do!

We hope you have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend!

Strolling with Friends on Sadieday

Even though today is technically Caturday, it'll always be Sadieday in our house and since we're pretty sure our sisfur Sadie is strolling around the Rainbow Bridge today, we thought we'd go strolling with some of her friends. Today we're strolling with Khyra the beawootiful Siberian Husky from Pawsylvania...
We all know that Sadie had a cutie patootie and Khyra is known as Miss Fluffy Tail because of her patootie...
She also likes to go off-roading too...
Of course the best adventures involve a field trip so Khyra goes in her Xterra...
We'll always remember how happy our sisfur Sadie was in her SUV (Sadie Utility Vehicle) too...
We miss our sisfur Sadie very much and Mommy still gets leaky eyes so we hope you enjoy Sadieday strolls with her friends because we still want to include her on our blog.  And we certainly know she'd want you to enjoy a stroll in your neck of the woods today!

Have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend!

Happy Sadieday!

I hope you are having a great Sadieday! We've had a rainy start to fall which has put a damper on my strolls! Hey, did I just make a punny? Ha roo roo! Anyway, I thought I would reminisce about some of my favorite things I did this summer so come along with me down memory lane starting in April when we went on a field trip to a forest... I always love the forest! There's so many trees to sniff! In May, we strolled on the trails in our neighborhood and found something else I love, mud puddles!
In June, we went on another field trip to a different forest for more, you guessed it, trees to sniff! A week later we went to my other favorite place, the coast!
We hiked around our neighborhood again in July and took in the view of our town...
Back to the coast again in August...
The views here are almost as pretty as I am... In September we went on a field trip to a boardwalk thingy here in town...
I hope you enjoyed this stroll down memory lane today! I'll continue strolling around our neighborhood even in the rain (no Mommy, you won't melt). But I'll always be ready for the next field trip in my SUV (Sadie Utility Vehicle) too...
Enjoy your Sadieday!
Sadie

Stroll on Sadieday

It's Sadieday and since it's also Memorial Day weekend, today's stroll will be down memory lane. I haven't always been the only dog in our household, I used to have a big sisfur named KC. Mommy and daddy adopted KC in 1993 as a 2 month old puppy so she was 7 years old when I joined the family in 2001.
It didn't take long for me to be bigger than her though.
KC liked the beach and ran all around with me but she never got in the water. She also loved to chase seagulls and when she got older she lost her hearing so one time she chased the seagulls and kept on going down the beach following the seagulls because she couldn't hear Daddy calling for her. He had to run way down the beach to get her. Ha roo roo!
Even though she was a black chow mix, her hair turned red at the ends.
KC was stubborn but she was very friendly and loved everybody she met and she was a good big sisfur. She crossed the bridge on August 29, 2007 at age 14. We all still miss her very much.
Thank you for taking a stroll down memory lane with me! I hope you enjoyed meeting my big sisfur KC. Be sure to remember your loved ones this weekend!

Hope you have a wonderful Sadieday!
