Hope you had a great weekend! We had sunpuddles and open windows which meant lots of naps but I wanted to tell you about a big day I had last week. Since I was a little puppy, I've gotten car sick which limits where I can go. One of the places I do have to go to is the vet, of course, and during a recent visit he told my peeps to give me meclizine to keep me from getting sick. So that's what happened last week...
I made it all the way to the coast for the very first time! It was so exciting it was almost impossible for me to sit and listen to Daddy's rules...
But once he was done, I got to run around off leash smelling all the smells I've never smelled before!
I got my feets wet in the ocean, chased birds as well as Daddy and had a whale of a time! (Get it, whale? At the coast? BOL!)
It was so much fun! I can see why it's Mommy's happy place! The meclizine worked but came up a bit short. I got sick 10 minutes from home. I was okay after that and I slept really good that night too. It might not have ended as we hoped but I still enjoyed the field trip!
Happy Monday to you!
Lexi

I always love the forest! There's so many trees to sniff! In May, we strolled on the trails in our neighborhood and found something else I love, mud puddles!
In June, we went on another field trip to a different forest for more, you guessed it, trees to sniff!
A week later we went to my other favorite place, the coast!
We hiked around our neighborhood again in July and took in the view of our town...
Back to the coast again in August...
The views here are almost as pretty as I am...
In September we went on a field trip to a boardwalk thingy here in town...
I hope you enjoyed this stroll down memory lane today! I'll continue strolling around our neighborhood even in the rain (no Mommy, you won't melt). But I'll always be ready for the next field trip in my SUV (Sadie Utility Vehicle) too...
Enjoy your Sadieday!
How's this for a cool place to stroll? We're going to go on a mile long loop on a boardwalk...
This is why it's important to have your bean on a leash because although it doesn't look it, it's a little drop to the ground so clumsy beans like my Mommy could fall off and hurt themselves. Safety first...
I'll keep Mommy safe by staying alert, making sure my tail is visible and keeping the leash tight so I know she's still behind me...
We're supposed to be in the wetlands but because it's so hot, the only thing that looks like wetlands is this sign...
There's lots of plants here that Mommy says are called "cattails". Isn't that a silly name for a plant? They look like cornDOGS to me! Ha roo roo!
I crack myself up! Well, we better wrap this up so we can get in where it's cool. I hope you enjoyed our field trip to the boardwalk with me...
Enjoy some adventures in your neck of the woods today!
There are no actual photos of me enjoying the surf because my photographer (aka Mommy) got sidetracked by a hurt bird on the beach. I didn't see it since I was frolicking in the ocean but she's still worrying about it. Anyway, after some running up and down the beach it's time to get back over the sand dune somehow...
It's not too tough for me with 4-paw drive but it is for my Mommy because the sand is just so soft...
This way might be a little easier...
Daddy and I made it just fine...
But we had to wait on slow poke...
One last look at the gorgeous view...
And then it's time for the fun part - running down the big ol' sand dune!
Time to get back into my Sadie Utility Vehicle and head home...
Hope you enjoyed coming along on our field trip! I had a great day and I'm pretty sure Mommy and Daddy did too!
Here we are! We're standing at the base of a really tall sand dune on a jetty along the Pacific Ocean. Put it in 4-paw drive and start climbing! (See me spin my wheels?)
Are you coming? We're only half way up! Enough with the complaining about one step forward, three steps back Mommy. It'll be worth it...
I just had to show you my cutie patootie since it's taking awhile to get up this sand dune...
See! I told you it was worth it!
Look at that glorious ocean...
I had the bestest idea of where to spend such a special day!
I'm going to extend Sadieday to tomorrow to show you more of our field trip so be sure to come back!
It's been awhile since I've come to the coast so I had to check out so many things like the driftwood...
And this big ol' rope from some big ol' boat...
Of course I had to dip my paws in the ocean too...
There's just so much to do here at the coast...
I just love it here! Can you tell?
I hope you enjoyed your trip to the coast with me today!
