Field Trip

Hope you had a great weekend! We had sunpuddles and open windows which meant lots of naps but I wanted to tell you about a big day I had last week. Since I was a little puppy, I've gotten car sick which limits where I can go. One of the places I do have to go to is the vet, of course, and during a recent visit he told my peeps to give me meclizine to keep me from getting sick. So that's what happened last week...

I made it all the way to the coast for the very first time! It was so exciting it was almost impossible for me to sit and listen to Daddy's rules...

But once he was done, I got to run around off leash smelling all the smells I've never smelled before!

I got my feets wet in the ocean, chased birds as well as Daddy and had a whale of a time! (Get it, whale? At the coast? BOL!)

By the time we had to go, I left my pawprints all over the beach...

It was so much fun! I can see why it's Mommy's happy place! The meclizine worked but came up a bit short. I got sick 10 minutes from home. I was okay after that and I slept really good that night too. It might not have ended as we hoped but I still enjoyed the field trip!

Happy Valentines Day! Today is our mommy's favorite holiday since she loves love and anything with hearts on it. Since it's Lexi's first Valentines Day, she got Mommy a present. It's a pottery pooch...

She's the only one who got Mommy a present because puppy dog eyes only go so far...

When the nice folks at Chewy.com asked me if I'd like to do a review on some treats, I jumped at the chance! I'm only 8 months old so there are a lot of treats that are new to me so it's fun to try out new ones such as Canidae Grain-Free PURE Heaven Biscuits with Bison and Butternut Squash Crunchy Dog Treats...

I may be a puppy but I take treats seriously since I get them when I do something good so they better be worth it. Let's give these a try...

Uh, I think I need to try a little more...

The verdict? The Canidae Grain-Free PURE Heaven Biscuits with Bison and Butternut Squash Crunchy Dog Treats are yummy! They're made here in the USA and the bison flavor is tasty. I also like that they're crunchy to help keep my teeth clean. They are a good size for puppy rewards and snacks too...

I do wish there were more than 30 in a bag though but we order from Chewy.com enough that our supplies are replenished often. If you haven't checked out Chewy.com, you should! They deliver food, treats, toys, everything quickly and right to our front door...

Anyway, I liked these treats very much and I'm glad I got to try them out! Thanks, Chewy.com!

Finally Friday

It's been another long week but we're ending it better than it started. Our computer issues have been fixed and even better news, Daddy comes home today! He's been on the coast for work and we've missed him. Mommy is really glad he'll be home because a certain 8 month old puppy is a handful! She has to be walked...

She chews on her toys while laying on Mommy's feet...

She wants to play with her toys at 4am...

So yes, we're all happy he'll be back home where he should be very soon...

We plan to be first in line for scritches!

I'm kinda known to be a little wild around here. What can I say, I'm still a puppy! Anyway, when the nice folks at Chewy.com asked me to review Purina Beyond Wild Prey-Inspired Beef, Liver and Lamb Recipe Canned Dog Food, I thought it'd be a perfect match!

Food is one thing that I slow down for but it doesn't mean I'm not impatient when waiting to eat it. It's great these cans have pop tops but I still need to wait for Mommy's help...

Finally, the taste test...

The verdict? Purina Beyond Wild Prey-Inspired Beef, Liver and Lamb Recipe Canned Dog Food is  yummy! Real beef is the #1 ingredient which makes it tasty. The high protein is good for my muscles too since I'm active with zoomies and long walks every day. Mommy likes that it's grain free and has no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives and no poultry by-product meal. It's also made here in the United States. I really like this food whether it's in my bowl or stuffed in my Kong. These puppy dog eyes wouldn't lie!

Wordless Wednesday - Ready for Santa

Weekend Wrap Up

Our first weekend in December was a whirlwind. We spent Saturday with Daddy while Mommy and a friend of hers went to Portland to see Summer and her human. Summer was a Pet Me cat at a cat show which meant our mommy pet her a lot...

Yeah, okay, we see how adorable she is and we know Mommy can't resist petting her soft furs. We're pretty sure Summer knows it too...

Rumor has it that at one point Summer was sleeping and somemommy made her get up so she could hold her. Crazy, huh? We're sorry she woke up Summer but at least she knows that around here the rule is to let sleeping dogs lie...

Anyway, we're going to be having some visitors here soon. We know this because the rare sight of cleaning supplies happened yesterday. Our posting and visiting might be sporadic for the next week or so.

Turkey Day Numero Two #ChewyInfluencer

We hope our friends in the US enjoyed their Thanksgiving! My kitty sisfurs enjoyed some turkey and thanks to the nice folks at Chewy.com, I had my very own turkey - Zignature Turkey Limited Ingredient Grain Free Canned Dog Food...

I really like the Zignature Turkey Limited Ingredient Grain Free Canned Dog Food! It's made with real, American Midwest farm raised turkey, peas, chickpeas and carrots. Turkey provides me with good protein that's low in saturated fat and rich in vitamins and minerals that keep me healthy. 

I get canned food as a treat because I mainly eat dry food, purchased from Chewy.com, so I eat canned food pretty fast. Mommy fills my Kong with it then freezes it so I can enjoy it longer. She says it gives her a much needed puppy break too. Whatever that means. Anyway, Zignature Turkey Canned Food was a hit with me and so is Chewy.com! Friday Fun #ChewyInfluencer

After my first review for the nice folks at Chewy.com, Natalie asked if I'd like to review a Kong Puppy Dog Toy too. Since I love to earn my keep around here, I said yes!

I'm 5 months old and am a teething puppy so this is exactly what I need. I'm excited to get this review started...

KOWABUNGA!

Oh, sorry, I got a little too excited. Anyway, this Kong Puppy is the large size which is the perfect size for me. Since I'm teething, I like to chew on things to sooth my gums and this has soft puppy rubber so it gives a bit when I bite which is nice...

It's also nice that the inside of the Kong Puppy can be stuffed with goodies. Mommy puts wet food, treats and even cheese in it and freezes it. The cold feels good and the goodies inside keep me busy for awhile! She calls it my Kong Puppy sitter. Whatever. Anyway, I am enjoying this Kong Puppy because it satisfies my need to chew while I'm teething and it's also fun to play with since it bounces all different directions when I drop it. It's also made in the USA! Much thanks to Natalie and Chewy.com for the opportunity to try this Kong Puppy toy out!

Finally Friday

We're sure glad it's Friday! It's been another long week with leaveitNOstopitgetdownNO Lexi here which is why we're late in posting today. She was so wound up this morning that after an hour of her being crazypuppy, Mommy did go crazy and contemplated running away from home! Daddy came home to give them both a time out which Mommy spent relaxing upstairs with us...

More progress was made with Lexi this week but she has a ways to go yet. On their three walks a day, so many people stop and say how cute she is...

Mommy says being cute is her saving grace. Lexi knows it too because she can work those puppy eyes like nobuddy's business! Anyway, we're glad for the weekend so one of the peeps can puppy sit while the other spends more time with us!
