Field Trip

Hope you had a great weekend! We had sunpuddles and open windows which meant lots of naps but I wanted to tell you about a big day I had last week. Since I was a little puppy, I've gotten car sick which limits where I can go. One of the places I do have to go to is the vet, of course, and during a recent visit he told my peeps to give me meclizine to keep me from getting sick. So that's what happened last week...
I made it all the way to the coast for the very first time! It was so exciting it was almost impossible for me to sit and listen to Daddy's rules...
But once he was done, I got to run around off leash smelling all the smells I've never smelled before!
I got my feets wet in the ocean, chased birds as well as Daddy and had a whale of a time! (Get it, whale? At the coast? BOL!)
By the time we had to go, I left my pawprints all over the beach...
It was so much fun! I can see why it's Mommy's happy place! The meclizine worked but came up a bit short. I got sick 10 minutes from home. I was okay after that and I slept really good that night too. It might not have ended as we hoped but I still enjoyed the field trip!

Happy Monday to you!

Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you had a weekend filled with many things to be thankful for! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and lots of cuddles, naps and whipped cream throughout! We were left home alone for a few hours when Mommy and Daddy went to her happy place on the coast...
They saw whales and this time they saw feral kitties too...
There were two black feral kitties with very shiny furs that were clearly being taken care of by someone because of all the cans of food plus more dry food scattered around. They had a really nice view too...
Of course Mommy will now have to check on them every time she goes over there. She's a worry wart. Anyway, they also saw a lady carrying her dog on her shoulders on their way to the beach...
From that point they were several sand dunes away from this...
Oh, that's not a big birdie in the sky, it's the Coast Guard helicopter. They work hard keeping peeps safe kinda like I work hard helping Daddy with the laundry...
And Isabella helps Mommy with some computer stuffs...
We know both of them are very thankful for our help.

How was your weekend?

Happy Monday to you!

Getting Back to Normal...

Whew!  What a week!  We were busy entertaining our Grandpa from Kansas and then had to stay up most the night after Mommy and Daddy got back from the coast just to make sure Mommy didn't forget where the treats are.  It's been exhausting.  We've done all this work and didn't even get any toona or any of these brought home to us...
We even discovered that Mommy cheated on us with Lou from Yachats....
She spent about 10 minutes petting Lou and you can bet she thought of bringing him home but thankfully both Lou's Daddy and ours was there watching to make sure that didn't happen.  It's a good thing this guy was leashed to his beans too..
And these two too...
She just can't be trusted!  Anyway, we're slowly getting back to our regular schedule of eat, play, sleep...
I'm really working hard on the sleep part!

Hope you enjoy your day!

Sadieday Field Trip!

Yay it's Sadieday and what's even better is we're going on a field trip! Are you ready to come with us? Well, then let's see where we're going!
We're at the beach! Actually we're at the Oregon Dunes! We have to climb this really big sand dune to get to the beach first and I'm using 4-paw drive to help Mommy get up the hill. Let's just say even with my help she's so slow I have time to check out pee-mail...
I think we need to go this way...
It doesn't get much better than all this sand...
Well, except for all this water!
We spent a lot of time running on the beach and then we headed back up the sand dune but this time I left Mommy off leash, put it in 4-paw drive again and headed on up...
I had plenty of time to take in the ocean view before she made it to the top while mumbling something like one step forward, two steps back in the sand...
What goes up, must come down though!
Plus, it must go home so we shook off all the sand off we could and headed back after a great day on the Oregon coast. Hope you enjoyed coming along with us too!

Have a Happy Sadieday!

Ode to Summer...

Since Labor Day is coming up here in the U.S., the current EtsyBloggers blog carnival asks how we celebrate this 'official' end of summer and what it means to us. Well, this time of year is special because our mommy's birthday is August 28th and she's going to take off work the week between her birthday and Labor Day. Our mommy will be a squizillion more than 3 but here's a demonstration of how we'll celebrate this weekend...
Labor Day also signals the end of summer vacations which means less tourists on the beach!
And it means windows will be open more often as the temperature gets cooler...
It also means Daddy will be getting ready to go back to school too so we'll have to help him keep his straight As again...
So, we are sad that summer is almost over but we are looking forward to the things that this time of year brings.

What does Labor Day mean to you?

Sadieday Field Trip!

Today is a special Sadieday because we're going on a field trip! I love field trips and am very excited so let's stop wasting time and get going!
We're here! We're at the coast! One of my most favorite places ever!
I love watching the sea gulls...
I love getting my toesies wet in the ocean! Why you backing up Mommy? Don't you want to get your toesies wet too?
I love running on the wide open beach...
I just love the coast - can you tell?
I hope you enjoyed our field trip today!

Have a Happy Sadieday!

Happy Sadieday!

It's Sadieday and today I am going to take you to the beach with me! As you can see, the day we went there was fog along the coast. But that didn't spoil my fun!
I played ball...
although I didn't always bring it back!
As we were leaving, we saw these crazy critters.
I guess everyone loves the beach!
Hope you enjoyed going to the beach with me!
Have a great Sadieday!
