Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you had a nice weekend. Here in the USA it was Memorial Day weekend which is when we remember those who have fought and died for our country. We're thankful for all who serve and protect our country...

We've been quiet around here because we've just been enjoying some time off. We're also enjoying spring...

And cuddles in sunpuddles...

And Mommy enjoyed her happy place with a friend...

We're kinda short on mojo around here but hopefully we'll find it soon. If you have any ideas on how to find it, let us know! We'll keep looking for it though.

Thankful Thursday

We're back! Sorta. We did want to post today because our Grandpa from Kansas left yesterday and we wanted to let him know how thankful we are that he came to visit us. He gave us lots of scritches and taught Lexi some new tricks...

Daddy isn't thrilled with certain tricks but both he and Mommy were thrilled that Grandpa from KS was able to puppy sit so they could go to the coast to celebrate Daddy's birthday on the 7th...

After Grandpa from KS left yesterday and Daddy went back to work, Mommy was beyond thrilled with this happened...

It's the first time I've come downstairs all by myself since her birthday way back in August. As you can see, I even had to walk right by Lexi. You'd have thought Mommy won the lottery with how excited she was I came to see her and that I did all my favorite things like survey the living room...

Watch birdies with my sisfur...

And I even sat in my favorite spot on Mommy's chair...

It helped that Lexi was exhausted from having visitors for a week so she was napping instead of being crazypants. Mommy didn't move for two hours while I was downstairs because she didn't want to wake her up. It was nice to be downstairs again so maybe I'll keep doing it. It sure made Mommy happy!

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a sunny weekend so I got open windows plus I got treats again!

It'd been so long I forgot how good they are! Isabella got some too even though she laid on Mommy's pillow which drives her batty...

Because it was so nice out, Mommy and Daddy went to her happy place for the first time since July...

They haven't gone because Lexi couldn't be left alone in her kennel that long and she gets car sick so can't go with them. Now that she's 6 months old, she can be finally be left alone long enough so Mommy can once again find heart rocks...

And even see baby seals on the rocks...

We all had a great weekend and now look forward to Thanksgiving soon. The rain will return by Wednesday so I'll be sure to get plenty of window whiffs before then!

August 8th

Today is our Mommy and Daddy's 30th anniversary! That's a really long time so they're still enjoying a vacation in Maui...

And we're still enjoying our time with Grandpa from Kansas but we'll celebrate when they get home this weekend.

Weekend Wrap Up

After last week's fireworks, I had a relaxing kind of weekend...

Isabella and I were home alone on Saturday when the peeps went to Mommy's happy place again...

Yesterday they went hiking in the forest just outside our town...

We hear it was a peaceful hike until somemommy screamed when she came within a foot of stepping on a snake stretched across the trail. Snakes give her the eebie jeebies and apparently they give those around her hearing loss. Just sayin.

Finally Friday

We hope you had a good week and that our U.S. friends had a Happy 4th! We've enjoyed our staycation with the peeps although we could've done without the fireworks going until after 11pm on the 4th. One of us hid in the basement while the other kept Mommy company...

Other than that we watched the squirrels chasing each other around a tree. You can kinda see one of them on the top of the tree trunk...

Our weather was perfect so we napped with the windows open...

Of course Daddy took Mommy to her happy place again. Most beaches were packed with tourists but they went to their secret beach where they had it all to themselves...

Daddy had to go to back to work yesterday but we have a few more days of relaxation before we go back to work with Mommy on Tuesday. Next week is going to get hot here - mid to upper 80s - so we will be sure to enjoy open window whiffs before then.

Weekend Wrap Up

We finally had a weekend where we had nothing to do but relax...

It was nice! Another nice thing that happened was that Daddy turned the blinds just right so I could enjoy a sunpuddle while playing with my nip pillow...

He also took Mommy to her happy place on his day - Father's day. Of course, Mommy found a heart shaped shell...

It's fitting since we love our Daddy very much every single day of the year. We lucked out by getting the best cat daddy ever! Not many would let a 13 lb Tortie bowling ball sleep on them. Just sayin.

Tortie Tuesday

It's been awhile since I've posted on Tortie Tuesday but I'm here today to do our weekend wrap up since somemommy forgot about it yesterday. What would she do without me? Anyway, we had the perfect weekend to nap in sunpuddles and apparently also for Mommy to dip her toes in the ocean...

Yep, she and Daddy went to her happy place again...

Of course she found a heart shaped rock - a really big heart!

They saw a lot of sea lions enjoying the warm beach too...

I don't know why they have to go there when they have me here at home...

It's baffling. Anyway, we all had a wonderful weekend and hope you did too!

Finally Back!

We had a great blogcation! We had the right balance between attention from the peeps home and naps when they were doing yardwork or painting the garage or out doing whatever which they did quite a bit. Of course they went to Mommy's happy place...

They also hiked on the highest peak in the Oregon Coast range, Mary's Peak. They went to the top which is elevation 4097' compared with the elevation of 235' in our town 25 miles away...

They also hiked to some waterfalls...

In addition to all that, Mommy took care of the neighbor kitties, Dez and Callie. Dez makes her smile...

She gets them a new toy whenever she takes care of them. She gets us one too...

Hope they liked their mousie as much as we do ours...

Besides all the napping and playing, we had several movie nights...

You know, we thought peeps were supposed to be quiet during movies but our mommy complains the entire time about her numb legs and feets. It makes it really hard to enjoy the show. Anyway, we're kinda slow in getting back in the groove but we'll be back to normal soon!

Weekend Finds

We had a relaxing weekend napping at home in sunpuddles. Mommy had a relaxing weekend at her happy place on the beach...

She and Daddy had the beach all to themselves so she explored and found lots of interesting things such as this pattern in the sand...

And these heart shaped rocks...

Also a ladybug caught in the edge of the surf...

She thought this shell looked like Wilson from the movie Cast Away...

On the trail back up to the car, Daddy spotted this painted rock shoved in the cracks of the post it's now sitting on...

Further up Mommy found this Care Bear painted rock...

After she got home she thought she found seals...

It was just us waiting to find dinner.

Weekend Wrap Up

The weekend flew by so fast we didn't even have movie night nor many naps! On Saturday, I snoopervised garden clean up - from inside of course...

Yesterday, Isabella snoopervised the floor installation in the half bath while holding down the box with the new sink and countertop...

In between all that, Mommy took care of the neighbor cats, Dez and Callie, until their mom got home. That's certainly not hard work...

Of course a beautiful spring weekend meant a trip to Mommy's happy place for a bit too...

They went to some sand dunes around a jetty and saw evidence of horses on the trail but didn't see any actual horses. Back at the parking lot they saw this...

After seeing that, Mommy sure wished she'd seen those horses! That organization will be one of the recipients of our shop proceeds soon!

Anyway, today the noisy stranger comes back to get 95% of the half bath remodel done. Hopefully. If he finishes what he's supposed to finish, the tile backsplash decision can be finalized and the tile ordered so the remodel can be completely finished next week. We hope. Tomorrow we go back to work but thankfully just part time. Yay!
