Weekend Wrap Up

We had a whirlwind of a weekend! Yeah, we relaxed a bit...

But we worked a bit too. Well, at least I did. Isabella continued relaxing. Mommy finally felt crafty for the first time in months so of course I helped...

She's also does workouts from her personal trainer but of course I have to snoopervise. Especially when she's on the evil foam roller...

Yesterday it was rainy and cold with temps in the 50s. I was freezing my patooty off until Mommy turned the furnace on so I could warm it up...

Ah, yes, it felt good...

The warm, sunny weather returns today so I'll make sure to relax a bit in a sunpuddle or two.

Finally Friday

It's finally Friday and the remodel is finally over...

Well, at least the noisy stranger is finally done. He finished yesterday afternoon. Who knew it'd take all week to do a tiny backsplash and install the faucet! As you can see, there are still missing items such as a mirror...

It'll be up later along with other things including the door. Yes, the noisy stranger forgot to put the door back on! Makes it easier for us kitties to go in but guests probably won't like it too much. Anyway, we're all glad it's finally over. 

Since we take weekends off, we want to be sure and wish the moms of kids with and without fur a Happy Mother's Day!

Sending extra special Mother's Day wishes to our Grandma in Vegas! She had surgery last Friday but is recovering well. Our Aunt Dolly is a good little nurse!

Finally Friday

We're glad it's finally Friday! It's been a long week of working, soaking up sunpuddles and doing the initial inspections in the half bath...

The new light is up, the floor is in, the storage drawer is complete and the cherry wood vanity doors are upstairs soaking up sunlight to darken them to a richer tone to match the drawer front. I hereby declare it's ready for completion...

Especially since the backsplash tile and trim finally arrived yesterday...

If all goes as planned, the noisy stranger will be here Monday morning to finally finish. The total work in this remodel is probably just a week but circumstances caused it to drag on and on. It's kinda like how long it'd take Isabella to do it in between her 20 hour naps. Just sayin.

Weekend Wrap Up

The weekend flew by so fast we didn't even have movie night nor many naps! On Saturday, I snoopervised garden clean up - from inside of course...

Yesterday, Isabella snoopervised the floor installation in the half bath while holding down the box with the new sink and countertop...

In between all that, Mommy took care of the neighbor cats, Dez and Callie, until their mom got home. That's certainly not hard work...

Of course a beautiful spring weekend meant a trip to Mommy's happy place for a bit too...

They went to some sand dunes around a jetty and saw evidence of horses on the trail but didn't see any actual horses. Back at the parking lot they saw this...

After seeing that, Mommy sure wished she'd seen those horses! That organization will be one of the recipients of our shop proceeds soon!

Anyway, today the noisy stranger comes back to get 95% of the half bath remodel done. Hopefully. If he finishes what he's supposed to finish, the tile backsplash decision can be finalized and the tile ordered so the remodel can be completely finished next week. We hope. Tomorrow we go back to work but thankfully just part time. Yay!

Weekend Wrap Up

Welcome to the last week of February! Weekends are short this time of year and they're rainy too. We made the most of the rare sunpuddles on Sadieday...

There were zero sunpuddles yesterday so for the first time this tax season, Mommy decided to get crafty. Of course that meant I had to snoopervise...

We were pleased with how our beady goodies turned out...

They're topless because we're out of earwires but they'll be complete soon. I'm just glad she finally made something. It helps her relax and with seven weeks of tax season left, everyone is happy when Mommy is relaxed. Trust me.

Finally Friday

While we're glad it's Friday, somemommy isn't. It's because she only has this weekend to get all the Christmas presents bought and some that are beady goodies made, packaged and mailed plus our Christmas cards she ordered (late) may not arrive until Monday. She gets zero sympathy from us because we're not the ones who spent a week in Disneyland. Anyway, because she's been busy this week we're going to do a flashback to a whole couple of weeks ago when I was snoopervising Daddy clean off the deck...

I know it looks like a boring job but it's pretty fun when he comes across a leaf and it goes flying...

If only I was out there I'd catch those suckers...

I'm pretty sure I enjoy this job way more than Daddy does...

Anyway, since she'll be running around this weekend, we plan on relaxing and getting ready for Santa Claws to visit soon. What do you have planned for this weekend?

Tortie Tuesday

It's the time of year when presents are starting to be wrapped. The first presents we have are for Daddy so I thought it was best that I snoopervised to make sure they're perfect.

Mommy, you need to scooch it back a bit towards the middle...

The ends don't meet up right. You're lousy with the scissors...

You're not very good with tape either...

The top side looks okay but it needs something...

There, that's better. It just needed my touch...

It's a good thing I'm on the job since some floofy white kitty thinks it's bath time...

I helped wrap two more presents for Daddy but there are no pictures of that. As we were finishing up the first one, he called to say he was on his way home fifteen minutes early so they were wrapped really, really fast!

Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you had a great weekend! I was on bead duty so helped Mommy make a kitty necklace...

She accused me of sleeping on the job but I didn't. I snoopervised her plus watched for birdies...

Multitasking is my specialty.  Looking at the camera, however, is not...

Anyway, the kitty necklace turned out really cute...

She's keeping that one and got a request to make a shorter one. She has to get more kitty beads though because our cat mom friends are asking about them! Probably because I helped with it.

Crafty Day

We don't normally decorate for the seasons because what comes out must go back and Mommy finds it much easier if it doesn't come out in the first place. This year though her friend, Laura, suggested a crafty day to make fun decorations. Okay, crafty and fun aren't usually in the same sentence for Mommy but she agreed. Last week they made scarecrows. Other than Laura's help with the bow, Mommy made it all by herself...

This week we knew what was going on when the crafty supplies came out so Isabella and I anxiously waited for Laura to show up...

They made a snowman on the backside of the scarecrow and I even helped Laura put the scarf on her snowman...

She was very appreciative and gave me scritches...

Hey wait a minute, chica! You can scritch me but I draw the line at kisses!

Anyway, Laura's snowman turned out super cute. Mommy's turned out to be cute too...

Full disclosure here, Laura helped with Mommy's scarf because she is clueless when it comes to working with ribbon or fabric. We also discovered that when she hot glues her thumb, HBO words are said with a leg kick for emphasis. Just sayin. Anyway, our Grandpa from Kansas will be here next week and he's in charge of hanging it up outside so all of the neighbors can see her creations.

Finally Friday

It's the last Friday in July! Tax season will be here before we know it! I think summer is going so fast because we're working so hard. As soon as we're done working on taxes, I have to snoopervise the making of beady goodies...

Somemommy pointed out that I was paying more attention to the birdies than beadies. As if. Anyway, if that's what she thinks, I'll snoopervise from a much closer vantage point...

Of course she complained that I was too close. Okay, how about I snoopervise from here?

We finally got the beady goodies made. They would've been done much quicker if she hadn't stopped to complain so much but whatever. After I did my snoopervising duties, Isabella had the easy job of modeling...

It took just a few shots to get that one. It helps that she moves at a snail's pace so her poses last an eternity. She really is a Tortie slug. 

We're hoping to relax this last weekend in July. August is a busy month for us with birthdays, an anniversary, noisy strangers on the deck, many thousands of people coming to our town to view the solar eclipse and even a visitor coming to our house the end of the month. Our sporadic posting will be even more so but we'll pop in from time to time.

Weekend Wrap Up

Our weekend technically isn't over until Wednesday but we're wrapping up our weekend so far. We've had glorious weather - mid 70s, open windows and sunpuddles! Of course that meant Mommy and Daddy went to the coast on Saturday. She said it was beautiful over there with lots of tourists and lots of seals hanging out on the rocks...

Yesterday I helped make beady goodies...

I also napped. I deserved it. I work hard.
