One Month to Go

We know we've been quiet and not visiting much so we wanted to let everyone know that all is well here. We actually enjoyed a weekend away from tax returns with open windows and sunpuddles...

Mommy thinks I'm so cute with the sun lighting up my ears and I have to admit, she's right. Anyway, the countdown is on for tax season to end so we can resume our normal schedule of napping and playing instead of working. We're sorry to be scarce but the end is in sight.

Today is my 12th birthday! Does anyone get tired of seeing me as a kitten?

I can hear my mommy squee all the way from Maui! Of course she still squees at me...

I plan on getting extra scritches today and anything else I decide to do because it's my birthday!

Finally Friday

Even though it's been hot here with highs in the upper 90s, I've enjoyed naps in the fresh air...

That is until the resistance band Mommy was using for shoulder presses slipped out from under her feet and sounded like a gun shot when it hit the mancave ceiling. It scairt the [censored] out of me so I wouldn't go back in there...

Only consolation is it smacked her in the patooty on the way to the ceiling. MOL! Serves her right! Anyway, I'll be staying upstairs watching for Grandpa from Kansas since he's on his way to visit us...

I'm first in line for his scritches! I can hardly wait!

Weekend Wrap Up in a Quilt

Our weekend was hot, hot, hot! How hot? Enough to make me melt...

To escape the heat our Mommy and Daddy went up into the Cascade Mountains...

They went up there because they thought the coast would be busy with all the peeps escaping to the 60 degree temps. What they didn't know was that it was the annual Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show - the World's LARGEST outdoor quilt show! That meant 10,000 people, their cars, lots of tour buses and our mommy and daddy descended on the town of Sisters, OR to look at 1,300 quilts hung up throughout the town...

They didn't see all the quilts but they looked at quite a few such as this dogs with glasses one...

Mommy got a giggle out of this guy's sign. It says 'Quilt widowers - Husband sitting services'...

MOL! Daddy didn't see the humor in it. He can be a fuddy duddy. Anyway, she has a few more pics of animal quilts but since this post is full already, we'll save them for later. We hear they pet a cat too but there's no evidence of that. They just can't help themselves sometimes. *sigh*

Weekend Wrap Up

We made sure to enjoy every moment of our weekend as we celebrated an extended Sadieday. This included all the good stuff of summer such as baseball...

Daddy watched our hometown team, the Oregon State University Beavers, advance to the finals in the College World Series tonight. Mommy watched me...

I also soaked up a lot of the summer sun...

We had summer heat yesterday so Mommy decided to stay inside and be crafty but for some unknown reason she didn't want me to help...

She painted summer inspired flowers on that canvas but they were, uh, ugly so she painted the whole canvas purple. It's now a blank purple canvas. I should've helped in the first place. Seriously.

Weekend Wrap Up

We're back to work today after a really good weekend. Well, except for our peeps sleeping in yesterday and we nearly starved until I ran laps up and down Mommy to get her up. She made Daddy get up and feed us so disaster was averted thank Cod. Anyway, the weekend started with movie night which this time was actually watching the past two episodes of This is Us. Mommy sobbed during the first episode despite me being irresistibly cute...

Ditto with the second episode...

I just don't get why she loves that show when it makes her cry every.single.time. She's weird. Anyway, to make her feel better, Daddy took her to her happy place the next day...

It worked. It helps that her favorite holiday is Wednesday too. Now if only we didn't have to work. It's tough being CPA Cats but somekitties have to do it.

Nightly Routine

I know I titled this post Nightly Routine but really it should be the Games Mommy Plays. Every night we go through the same thing where she tries to be stingy with the treats in her nightstand and I patiently wait...

After she pretends to ignore me, I have to get up to hurry things along..

There's no way she can ignore me now...

Especially when I tap tap tap her arm...

She acts like she can resist me but I know she's caving...

Because I can tap tap tap all night long...

She caved. I got treats. Daddy says I'm spoiled. Whatever. Anyway, I wait 3.2 seconds and we start the whole process over again. So, you tell me, is this a routine or is she just playing games?

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a great weekend with our Grandpa from Kansas here. In between giving us scritches and tummy rubs, he fixed up a table for Mommy's scarecrow on the front porch since hanging it proved to be difficult...

Mommy and Daddy also took him to the coast several times to see views...

And whales...

I guess he doesn't have oceans and whales in Kansas but don't tell our friends Maggie and Cammie because they live near the Kansas Ocean. Anyway, having more peeps in the house is fun but exhausting...

He's here for just a short time longer so we're going to enjoy as many scritches and tummy rubs as we can. And naps too of course.

We had a purrfect first weekend of fall! Open windows, Isabella slept and I got a new nip toy...

My toy is made by a local artist who makes a new style every year. I've had several of her toys before but they got buried in my toy box and little moths ate holes in them causing the nip to come out. Dang nipped up moths! Anyway, Mommy got me a new one since she knows how much I love these nip toys...

I really, really love them...

It makes me crazypants!

I played with it all weekend while Mommy squee'd at me. I'm so cute she can hardly stand it. *sigh* Isabella even played with the toy for a bit. Actually, she licked it and tried to bite it, or should I say, tried to gum it since she has no teeth! Anyway, we all enjoyed our weekend. We hope you enjoyed your weekend too!

Take Two Cats and Call Me in the Morning

Yesterday morning Mommy had a horrible headache causing her to log off work an hour early to lay down and relax. Trouble is she said she couldn't relax because she felt like she was being watched. I have no idea what she meant...

Isabella had her eyes closed while holding Mommy down so I didn't see anykitty looking at her. That headache clearly made her hallucinate! Anyway, she felt better after a while. No doubt thanks to our help. What would she do without us?
