Our Grandma from Vegas went home yesterday so now I have a tummy in need of scritching...

We're hoping to get back to our normal schedule soon. Between celebrations, visitors and now tax deadlines we're trying to keep up without cutting into nap time too much. A Tortie needs her beauty sleep!

Finally Friday

It's the last Friday in July! Tax season will be here before we know it! I think summer is going so fast because we're working so hard. As soon as we're done working on taxes, I have to snoopervise the making of beady goodies...

Somemommy pointed out that I was paying more attention to the birdies than beadies. As if. Anyway, if that's what she thinks, I'll snoopervise from a much closer vantage point...

Of course she complained that I was too close. Okay, how about I snoopervise from here?

We finally got the beady goodies made. They would've been done much quicker if she hadn't stopped to complain so much but whatever. After I did my snoopervising duties, Isabella had the easy job of modeling...

It took just a few shots to get that one. It helps that she moves at a snail's pace so her poses last an eternity. She really is a Tortie slug. 

We're hoping to relax this last weekend in July. August is a busy month for us with birthdays, an anniversary, noisy strangers on the deck, many thousands of people coming to our town to view the solar eclipse and even a visitor coming to our house the end of the month. Our sporadic posting will be even more so but we'll pop in from time to time.

Life Lately

Four weeks from today will be the first day of non-tax season this year. Four weeks. At this point, this is the way every day looks around here...

We're tired of being in the office all day long. The end is in sight though but our lack of things to talk about and Mommy's lack of picture taking is severely cutting into our post writing. So even though we'll be scarce, we're all okay. We're just tired.

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday and Mommy wanted me to make an announcement which of course I figured would be she's taking the day off to cater to my every desire. Instead she said something that is just shocking to me...

No, it's not that I get as many treats as I want. She said she's getting too busy so our posting and commenting might be a little sporadic for the next couple of months.  Can you believe that? She said we'll blog when 1) we have something to say (always), 2) we're cooperative with pictures (whatever), and 3) she has time (sigh). If only we had thumbs!

She feels better with the pressure off but we that doesn't help us any. Anyway, in case we go missing now you know it's ALL Mommy's fault.

How Many Days Until Christmas?

This was supposed to be the year that Mommy would get everything for Christmas done early so she could enjoy the season since in years past she dreaded the holiday because tax season was right around the corner. So, did she succeed? Nope. This weekend was a whirlwind until I finally took matters into my own paws...

Sure she may have been thinking about everything she had yet to do but she couldn't move until I decided she could move. Oh don't worry, I did let her up long enough to go shopping for our presents at least!

We're going to have a busy week with tax returns and also noisy strangers working in the yard so we may fall behind further again.  We'll do our best to keep up with everyone!

Finally Friday

We are always glad it's Friday around here because we know Friday night is movie night.  Actually, it's a night where Mommy wraps herself in a blanket, puts her legs up on the table and I sprawl out while her feets go numb and she watches me instead of anything on TV...

But then again, can you blame her?

Yep, I'm so cute she can hardly stand it!

We might be a little scarce for the next month since Mommy has a craft show in four weeks to get ready for and in between now and then she's got custom orders for bracelets to do, a trip with a friend to our Grandma's in Vegas, a trip with Daddy to a cabin on the coast, a visit from our Grandpa in KS, a visit from our Grandma in Vegas, working on tax returns plus Turkey Day!  Phew!  That tired us out!  We're going to need lots of extra naps especially since we'll be up being spoiled by our visitors!
