A Big Birthday!

It's our mommy's milestone squizillionth birthday today! We suppose we should get up and celebrate with her. Maybe after one more nap...

Since Mommy's really old now she'd understand how nice it is to nap. Plus we don't want to wake somepuppy up...

It's pretty peaceful when NOleaveitgetdownstopNO Lexi sleeps. Yeah, okay, so she doesn't chase us anymore but still, she's got way more energy than anybuddy should. Anyway, since she recharges sleeps more these days, we were able to do some shopping for Mommy's surprise present...

It's a super soft kitty blanket for us to cuddle with her in and kitty socks because she loves those. Lexi didn't get her anything. Just sayin. 

Our grandma from Vegas and Aunt Dolly are here so we're hoping Dolly tires Lexi out. We'll all be celebrating our Mommy's big day! Enjoy a treat in her honor!

We're hoping to get back to our normal schedule soon. Between celebrations, visitors and now tax deadlines we're trying to keep up without cutting into nap time too much. A Tortie needs her beauty sleep!

Long Weekend Wrap Up

We've enjoyed some time off while our Grandma from Vegas is here. We've been spoiled morning and night but in between Mommy and Daddy have taken her to the coast. They saw sea lions on the Newport Bayfront...

And saw whales at Rocky Creek State Scenic Viewpoint...

But the most interesting sight they saw was traveling kitties!

These kitties were with their dad in an old motor home just hanging out at the door and obviously the Tortie ruled the roost...

Just as she should. Just saying.

Grandma from Vegas is here until tomorrow morning so we're hoping to get lots of spoiling in today.

All is Well, Again.

Everything is right in our world again now that Mommy is home from Las Vegas. She had fun with Grandma from Vegas and enjoyed spending time with GJ's mum and dad and JB's mom/the carrot lady from TX. She was unable to see the Katnip Lounge mom due to work but hopefully next time. Our Aunt Dolly seemed to enjoy Mommy's visit...

It could've been from all the scritches...

We hear she's so spoilt she's rotten! So glad we're not! Well, we're not. Anyway, I have a brilliant plan to make sure Mommy stays home...

Or at least it assures I get to go with her...

Snuggle Buddies

The best thing about having a sisfur is being her snuggle buddy...

Especially on cold, dreary, rainy days when somemommy is gone. Again. Yep, she's on yet another trip so we'll be sharing prime lap space on Daddy this weekend. Mommy is in Las Vegas visiting our Grandma from Vegas, the Katnip Lounge mommy, angel GJ's mum and dad from the U.K. and a cat mom/carrot lady from Texas. She'll be home Monday so we'll enjoy our time with Daddy until then!

Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you had a great weekend! We sure did especially since Mommy came home on Friday. We loved our time with Daddy but he isn't quite the pushover for treats that Mommy is. He's also a lot harder to wake up in the morning for breakfast!

Mommy did have fun on her cruise with our Grandma from Las Vegas. They went from Seattle to Astoria to two days in San Francisco...

After that they went back up north to Victoria, Canada where they saw this guy...

And this guy on their cabin balcony...

It would've been so easy for her to put that birdie in her carry on but of course she didn't. Whatever. Anyway, we're glad our whole family is together again.

BBArtisans Challenge: 2016 Hopes and Plans

It's the last Friday of January so we're just squeaking in our post for this month's Blogging Business Artisans challenge which happens to be the one our mommy came up with. She challenged the BBA team to tell us their hopes, goals, travels or plans for 2016. Mommy's hope is to go to Alaska and finally see a moose...

When she and Daddy went on an Alaskan cruise in 2014 they saw lots of eagles and whales but not one moose. Even on a three day land tour from Seward to Fairbanks including an 8 hour bus tour into Denali National Park they saw caribou, Dall sheep and even a snow shoe hare but not one moose. All the other buses in their group saw a moose and even a bear but not their bus! In hopes of seeing a moose they're spending 10 days in the Kenai Peninsula area of Alaska this June...

You know what that means for us? Our Grandpa from Kansas will be here spoiling us giving us awesome scritches! I'm thinking we got the better end of that deal! Anyway, see this other book that I'm pointing at here...

It's a cruise book. Mommy's going on a cruise with our Grandma from Vegas this year too. They're both looking forward to that and of course we're looking forward to a a week with Daddy spoiling us catering to our every whim! It seems that we're all going to have a pawesome year!

Finally Friday

We're glad it's Friday although we're in the midst of the really hots. How hot is it you ask? It's so hot that I have to air out my Tortie tummy...

Weekend Wrap Up

We hope everybody had a good weekend!  Our Grandma from Vegas went home yesterday so we're catching up on our naps.  It's tiring being spoilt!  Mommy's show went well last Thursday and even though both she and Grandma from Vegas were tired and cranky, they painted a wall in our dining room on Friday.  Of course I snoopervised...

Grandma thought she'd be funny and put a piece of tape on me*.
Yeah, not funny Grandma...

To keep me out of the way from working too hard, Mommy put my Bird TV table looking out on the deck...

Hey, Mommy, this is a Bird TV table, not a 'watching it rain on a boring deck' table...

Even Isabella was not pleased with the table placement...

Anyway, after two coats of paint and even more complaining, the wall was done and all was back to normal...

Yep, normal includes a messy table and me NOT sitting on it.  It's a tough job snoopervising but somekitty's got to do it!

*The tape was folded over onto itself so no sticky part was touching any furs.  Grandma from Vegas knew better because she knew Mommy would throw a conniption fit if she actually stuck tape on me.

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday so I thought I'd take this chance to update you on how I've been doing with the AeroKat inhaler thingy for my asthma.  I still have mild attacks now and then but I feel so much better.  In fact, I almost fall asleep while Mommy is counting my breaths of the medicine every night.  She ends up stopping once she gets to 20 or 25 but I could go much longer.  It's really nice being able to breathe better so I play a lot more with my little sisfur and I nap less which is unbelievable right?  Anyway, since I'm more alert I've taken over some of the duties my little sisfur always did such as warming Mommy's chair when she's making beady goodies...

I also help hold down the table while she and Grandma from Vegas have beady stuff everywhere...

Of course it's really important to make sure no beady goodies get loose and fall on the floor...

This feeling better stuff is exhausting since everywhere I look there's something to do...

It's a tough job beading but somekitty's got to do it!

Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you had a wonderful weekend!  I had a busy weekend snoopervising Mommy making beady goodies...

I helped her finish up some bracelets and make some earrings for her craft show on Thursday...

I also pulled double duty by warming up the bed for our Grandma from Vegas...

It's a tough job but somekitty's got to do it!  What would they do without me?

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a nice weekend.  We had lots of sunpuddles on Sadieday but yesterday it rained.  A lot.

Since even the Birdie Network had splotchy reception, I decided to help Mommy make earrings for our Grandma from Vegas...

Hey, Mommy, do you seriously need to show my secrets of smooshing the beads?

Is nothing off limits?  Anyway, since I helped, the earrings turned out very purrty if I say so myself...

And no one would even guess that the beads used to be round until I smooshed them!

What would Mommy do without me?  Hope Grandma from Vegas loves the earrings I smooshed made!

Finally Friday!

This was quite a week!  We enjoyed having our Grandpa from Kansas visiting us!  He gives us treats and scritches!  Mommy and Daddy also enjoyed visiting our Grandma and Aunt Dolly from Vegas...

That's the best photo Mommy got of her because she doesn't sit still long enough!  This was her during a short pit stop on the woofie race track around and around the yard...  

When she did sit still for longer than 1.3 seconds, it was on our Daddy...

We're pretty sure that if we ever do get a new woofie, it will not be one that weighs less than we do and doesn't have an off switch!  It's going to be very hard for any woofie to fit into our lives like our sisfur Sadie did...

Anyway, we're glad Mommy and Daddy are home although we miss our Grandpa from Kansas.  We're going to be relaxing today, what are your plans?

What Happens In Vegas...

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas thankfully or else Mommy would be bringing home a lot of kitties!  She and Daddy have been in Vegas the past few days visiting our Grandma but all three of them also visited the kitties of the Katnip Lounge and their mommy and daddy too!  They saw streaks of Scouty and CC and met all the others except The Baby.  KonaKitty hung out on the catio walkway.  She's super soft and gorgeous...

Mommy said that May Ling is beautiful in photos but in purrson she's even more so if that's possible.  She didn't get a very good picture of her because she petted her so much she forgot about photos...

Sweet Pea is beautiful too but Mommy didn't pet her.  Daddy did though!

Daddy was scritching Miss Salem too...

Now you see why we're glad that what happens in Vegas stays there?  Those Lounge kitties are hard to resist!  Their mommy and daddy are incredible too so Mommy, Daddy and Grandma enjoyed their visit very much!  

Mommy and Daddy are coming home today so depending on how long we make them cater to us, we may have to take tomorrow off.  We'll be back soon though!
