Finally Friday

We're glad it's finally Friday! It's been a long week of working, soaking up sunpuddles and doing the initial inspections in the half bath...
The new light is up, the floor is in, the storage drawer is complete and the cherry wood vanity doors are upstairs soaking up sunlight to darken them to a richer tone to match the drawer front. I hereby declare it's ready for completion...
Especially since the backsplash tile and trim finally arrived yesterday...
If all goes as planned, the noisy stranger will be here Monday morning to finally finish. The total work in this remodel is probably just a week but circumstances caused it to drag on and on. It's kinda like how long it'd take Isabella to do it in between her 20 hour naps. Just sayin.

Do you have any plans for this weekend?

Hope you have a great day!

Tortie Tuesday

As my little sisfur told you yesterday, we finally got our own haunted house! She helped with the construction but it's my job to do the inspection...
No inspection would be complete without checking out the door...
What are you giggling for Mommy?
Despite Mommy not thinking it'd be big enough for me us, it's plenty roomy in here. There's also ample light from above and the floor design is nice too...
I can even nap with my Tortie toe on display...
This haunted houses passes my thorough inspection! I do wish the door was a little bit taller though. I forgot to crouch down and it almost became a mobile home...
Now why are you giggling Mommy?
*sigh*

Hope you enjoy your Tortie Tuesday!

PeeS: I have to go to the dental specialist tomorrow morning for a consultation. Purrs would be appreciated!

The Truth About Changes

Okay everybuddy, my sisfur Isabella made the latest changes in our house appear like no big deal. Well, that's because she's a mellow Tortie slug. Seriously. It was a big deal when I went downstairs and my living room was all discombobulated...
All the furniture was moved to places it was not supposed to be...
This couch is supposed to be way over there!
Wanna know what Bella was doing during all the turmoil...
Told ya she's a spoiled Tortie slug. Anyway, it wasn't bad enough that everything was not where it should be but then two strange men came and took the old furniture and brought in some new furnitre. Of course, you know who took 1.03 seconds to claim her spot...
It took me 57 laps around the room before I finally sat on one of the chairs...
Trouble is it swivels and rocks so it'll be hard to jump on the banister. Clearly somemommy didn't think of that when she got these wobbly things...
No inspection would be complete without actually laying on the cushion right?
I'm sure I'll get used to everything but change is hard no matter what a certain Tortie says!

Do you like change?

Hope you have a relaxing day!

Busy, Busy, Busy

This week has been so busy I've only taken 8 naps a day.  Can you believe that?  I've been helping Mommy with tax returns and then working on beady goodies...
I'm in charge of quality control so I approve the beads used in everything.   Those red beads haven't passed my inspection yet...
I have to see how they jiggle with my right paw...
And then my left...
They passed so Mommy can use them in the bracelet.  While she does that, I'm going to take a break and watch some Birdie TV...
Here's the bracelet with my inspected beads...
It's a tough job being an inspector but somekitty has to do it!  What would Mommy do without me?

Hope you have a break filled day!

Sadieday Smile

Our hearts are sad about what happened with Malaysia Airlines MH-17 this past week. When something senseless like this tragedy happens, it makes us feel helpless. We have to remind ourselves that we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain but we can change our attitude and how we react to situations. We're going to take a lesson from our sisfur Sadie and choose an attitude of happiness which can be seen by others with a smile...
We can choose to continue smiling as we watch what others are doing...
Closely...
We'll also choose an attitude of tolerance...
With the right attitude, we choose a peaceful and happy life together...
One day soon we hope more attitudes are changed to avoid conflict that brings harm to innocent people so everyone can enjoy a peaceful and happy life together.  A good way to start is with a smile! Be sure to spread those smiles around because we can all use more of them these days!

We hope you have a lot to smile about today and everyday!

No No-No Bracelet?

We got a request for a custom No-No bracelet and for some reason those are usually made while we're napping or watching Birdie TV...
There's something about combining cats and a tray full of itty bitty beads that makes Mommy utter the words No-No.  A lot...
Wait, what was that you said Mommy?  This request came with the stipulation that WE have to help make the bracelet?  Did I hear that correctly?
Yep, it's true.  This particular bracelet is for a kitty mom who wants us to help make it and she wants it documented.  (That means we HAVE to help!) Of course that makes Mommy nervous but she'll honor the request by letting Isabella inspect the progress so far...
She didn't allow the Tortie taste test but no doubt that'll come later.   We're so excited to be able to finally help with a No-No bracelet!  Mommy will find out that this will be the funnest bracelet she's made EVER!

We hope you do something out of the ordinary today!

Finally Friday!

I'm so glad it's Friday!  Many of you know that our job description includes helping with tax returns and beady goodies but I also help our by inspecting any packages going in or out of the house...
And giving Mommy numb butt by keeping half of her chair warm for her while being so cute she can hardly stand it...
I know you're thinking, "oh Angel, you work so hard around there.  Why doesn't your sisfur Isabella help you?"  Well, she has mastered the Tortie tactic of either napping or hanging out on the cat tree...
Let's just say that it's a good thing Mommy has me or else nothing would get done around here.  It's tough work but somekitty's got to do it and it's not the Tortie!

Hope you have a relaxing Friday!

Inspiration

Last week I remembered that we hadn't done this month's BBArtisans challenge from Duni at Duni's Studio.  The challenge is to "surprise yourself by creating something with a color you rarely use".   I picked out colors that we very rarely use in beady goodies...
Of course I soopervised everything...
My due diligence was rewarded...
Hey, did I say you could stop the scritches Mommy?
We'll see about that...
Scritch away!
Anyway, we eventually came up with these earrings and got them listed in our BeadedTail shop...
My favorite show was on the Birdie Network by that time but they did go through the Tortie inspection process...
Good thing I remembered the challenge huh?  What would Mommy do without us?

Do you have any suggestions for color(s) for our beady goodies?

Hope you have an inspiring day!

Finally Friday!

It's finally the end of the week!  Mommy didn't feel like doing much but we'll get her in gear next week and make beady goodies at least.  She did go on a photo shoot at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, OR with a friend.  There were tulips as far as the eye could see...
The noisy strangers finished most of the work on Monday so now I can take a bath in the bathtub...
Mommy even got it all cleaned up for me...
Hey Bella, you show them the new cabinet...
Alright little sis!  There was zero storage in the guest litterbox so that problem has been solved with this new cabinet...
There's two pullout drawers and the cabinet guys are bringing another shelf for even more storage.  Pretty clever huh?
The wood looks like different colors in the photos but they're both natural cherry wood so they are the same color...
So, the guest litterbox is complete except for the knobs for the cabinets, backsplash, mirror, pictures and towel rods.  In other words, it's thisclose to being complete but it's come a long way from where it began...
We're hoping for an uneventful day for relaxing since we really haven't been able to do any yet.

What are your Friday plans?

TCIF!
