Weekend Wrap Up

Our first weekend in December was a whirlwind. We spent Saturday with Daddy while Mommy and a friend of hers went to Portland to see Summer and her human. Summer was a Pet Me cat at a cat show which meant our mommy pet her a lot...

Yeah, okay, we see how adorable she is and we know Mommy can't resist petting her soft furs. We're pretty sure Summer knows it too...

Rumor has it that at one point Summer was sleeping and somemommy made her get up so she could hold her. Crazy, huh? We're sorry she woke up Summer but at least she knows that around here the rule is to let sleeping dogs lie...

Anyway, we're going to be having some visitors here soon. We know this because the rare sight of cleaning supplies happened yesterday. Our posting and visiting might be sporadic for the next week or so.

Weekend Wrap Up

We know that many people are melting in summer heat but here it's been purrfect open window weather...

Also purrfect napping with my sisfur weather...

The nap would be more purrfect if somemommy would stop giggling about us popping a wheelie in our bed. She's weird.

We're having another staycation this week with both peeps home so our posts might be sparse since we're still working on the being present thing. Do you have any plans for this week?

It's Tortie Tuesday and we got a break from the rain so Daddy moved me and my bed into a sunpuddle. It feels so good on my furs but the sun is in my eyes...

So he turned me around...

The sun is no longer in my eyes but now I have to listen to Mommy giggling at my shadow. *sigh*

It's the last Tortie Tuesday before the end of tax season and Mommy is starting to look around at everything she's put off doing for 3.5 months like cleaning, dusting, filing piles of stuff, product reviews, etc.. I hope she won't notice our gingerbread house is still out even though Christmas is long over...

Dang, she noticed. Thank Cod it'll be a couple of weeks before she puts it away. Not that I use it or anything but that's not the point. It should be available if I wanted to use it. Which I don't but again, that's not the point. Make sense?

It's Tortie Tuesday and also day two of our quote challenge we started yesterday. I'm a very wise Tortie so today's quote is something I came up with for Mommy when she used to wake up on Sunday immediately wishing the day would last forever to avoid going to work on Monday...

"Don't dread tomorrow because you'll lose the joy of today."

Thankfully she no longer dreads Monday or any work day but she keeps this quote in mind when any dread starts stealing her joy. I make the most of my bed every moment of joy each day...
