Weekend Wrap Up

We kicked off the last weekend of February watching "This Is Us" on On Demand. Mommy was late in watching this show but in the last month has got caught up on the season. Do you watch it at your house? It always makes her eyes leak but she is hooked. I always make her squee...
Yep. I'm so cute she can hardly stand it. Anyway, The sun came out Saturday so she and Daddy went to Florence on the Oregon coast...
They went to the North Jetty where the piles of driftwood show what kind of winter storms they've had on the coast...
We were much more interested in the sand dunes. I mean, look at all that glorious sand, kitties!
Yesterday it snowed in the morning, rained in the afternoon. We're so ready for spring! Or at least mid-April, whichever comes first.

How was your weekend?

Happy last Monday in February!

Resting Up

Whew!  What a weekend!  Mommy was gone a lot with our visitor and since I'm used to her being home all day I missed her.  When they came home, I was the first to run down the stairs meowing loudly the whole way so she heard me coming before she saw me.  I know this makes her feel really guilty but I just can't help myself because I was so glad to see her and of course she was glad to see my cute face too...
She did tell me about some of the things they saw while they were out and I wasn't too interested in scraggly looking trees and marine layer at Cape Perpetua...
Or the sunny coastline at Heceta Head...
But I was interested in how the heck do you groom a fish and why is it different between fresh and saltwater kinds...
I also thought the little dog with the same colors as our angel sisfur Sadie was interesting...
I'm just really glad things are back to normal at least for awhile.  Our Grandma from Las Vegas will be here later this week so I better rest up so I'm fully ready to be spoiled!
Hope your day is filled with whatever you enjoy!

PeeS:  The above photos were taken with Mommy's cell phone.  She has hundreds of photos on her big new camera but hasn't had time to download any yet but if we think she took some good ones, we'll be sure to show them sometime in the future!

Sadieday Field Trip!

I'm so excited it's finally Sadieday so I can show you where I took my Mommy and Daddy for their 23rd Gotcha Day last Monday! Are you ready to come along? Well then get in my SUV (Sadie Utility Vehicle) and let's go! Here we are! We're standing at the base of a really tall sand dune on a jetty along the Pacific Ocean. Put it in 4-paw drive and start climbing! (See me spin my wheels?)
Are you coming? We're only half way up! Enough with the complaining about one step forward, three steps back Mommy. It'll be worth it... I just had to show you my cutie patootie since it's taking awhile to get up this sand dune... See! I told you it was worth it! Look at that glorious ocean...
I had the bestest idea of where to spend such a special day!
I'm going to extend Sadieday to tomorrow to show you more of our field trip so be sure to come back!

Hope you have a Happy Sadieday!

Summer Scenes

Today we are going to share some summer scenes around our area. You'll notice a theme in that they all include birdies! So, sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery and we'll enjoy the birdies!

Mommy and Daddy went to the coast recently and saw this seagull at the jetty in Florence, OR with the Sand Dunes in the background. At a local grocery store, there are lots of ducks hanging around a small pond at the edge of the parking lot. These two got pretty close to the store though. There's a big pond on the campus of where our daddy works that has lots of ducks. Mommy made Daddy feed them some of the bread they got at the farmer's market when they came up to them. They know a sucker when they see one (or two)! It's a mama duck, Daisy, and her baby, Donald! Even we'll admit that Donald Duck is pretty cute! As for these birds, well, they're just along for the ride! Get it! Oh I just quack myself up! Hope you enjoyed these summer scenes all featuring our favorite birdies! Hopefully you get to see birdies in your neighborhood today too!

Weekend Getaway Time!

The weekend is here and it's time for rest and relaxation! We are going to do that by going to the beautiful Oregon coast. We live an hour away from the ocean but try to get there as often as possible. If you ever find yourself visiting our beautful state, be sure to drive down Highway 101 for as long and as far as possible. There are gorgeous sights the entire way including these photos I took along the coast.

I took this picture from the Sea Lion Caves north of Florence, Oregon which we've visited several times but only once the sea lions were actually in the cave. At least the views were nice!
There are many lighthouses along Hwy 101 along the coast of Oregon. I took this photo of Heceta Head Lighthouse through the ocean mist. Heceta Head Lighthouse is 13 miles north of Florence.
