Thank Cod It's Friday!

This last week of March was a doozy. There was no work done on our half bath after Mommy painted it last weekend. Supposedly it'll be done next week but we'll see. At least the faucet Mommy ordered arrived in a really cool box...
Our neighbor has a cat sitter staying with her kitties while she's away but he also had to go out of town for three days this week so Mommy took care of Dez and Callie. She felt bad she couldn't spend much time with them especially since Dez upped the cuteness each visit...
We're already 20 returns over what we prepared through the last day of tax season last year. That means we're extra exhausted. Thankfully spring has returned so we can relax in sunpuddles this weekend...
Monday is April and we're certainly ready. Just a couple more weeks until we can go back to part time for the rest of the year. It's a tough job being CPA cats but somekitties have to do it!

We hope you have a great weekend and a Happy Easter!

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a lazy kind of weekend around here. Between allergies and changes in the weather, our mommy felt pretty crabby crappy all weekend. I did my best at holding her down though...
Despite not feeling well, she took care of the next door neighbor kitties while their mom was away. She introduced them to their first plague rat...
She also took them our crochet snake to play with...
We'd lost interest in it but Dez really enjoyed it...
He's such a cutie pie. Anyway, we plan on taking it easy today since it's back to work tomorrow. It's a tough job being holder downers but somekitties have to do it!

How was your weekend?

Hope you have a great day!

Finally a First on Friday!

It's finally Friday and would you believe for the first time ever Mommy has NO photos of us from this week? None, nada, zilch! We've all been up to the tips of our ears with tax returns for the HBO words procrastinators who's business returns are due on the 15th. That means we have absolutely nothing to post today. Oh wait, Mommy did take some photos of some cats - the neighbor cats next door who live inside (yay!) and look out their windows at us. This is Dez...
He's a cutie and Mommy says he's a total lover boy who followed her everywhere. He was hard to get pics of since he always wanted to be held. He'd get on the counters and headbutt her too...
His sisfur Callie was a little skeptical about Mommy at first...
She warmed up to her quickly though and even greeted her at the door. These kitties had never ever been alone before. Their mom is in France and she has a friend's son staying there while she's gone but he went rock climbing for three days so Mommy took care of them. Dez and Callie were super lonely so thankfully the friend's son is back and their mom will be home soon. By the way, we hear their house looks just like ours with kitty toys, beds, trees in every room and they even have a kitty play room full of toys for them!

Anyway, we have to do more tax returns today but thankfully it's a holiday weekend so we get some sort of break. We have a suspicion that Mommy will be back to taking pictures of us soon. Rats.

We hope you had a great week!
Happy weekend!

Finally Friday

We're so glad it's Friday!  We've had a busy week preparing tax returns and watching it rain...
But the sun came back out yesterday for the first time since our new landscaping was done which reminded us that we never showed photos.  We'll blame that on Mommy of course but anyway, let's start with the before view from the deck...
Behind the evergreen trees was a pathway that was pretty much only used by the neighbor cat Dooney since it was made of lava rock which Mommy hated...
After 11 days of working with just one day off, the landscapers transformed the previously unusable space to a new very usable space...
Mommy still has to stain the replaced board in the deck and figure out what she wants to plant in all the new space but she's very happy with the quartz stone pathway which leads to a patio in the back...
She also loves the view from the patio of the snow covered Three Sisters which you can kinda see in this photo through the hazy sky...
There's a view the other direction too - of the new indoor only neighbor kitties watching Mommy!
Those kitties made her smile!  We have noticed that since the landscape change, the outdoor neighbor cats don't visit as often which is an added bonus!  Especially since Daddy will be putting up the bird feeder again this weekend - yay!

Mommy and Daddy took the day off today so we're going to enjoy a long, sunpuddle filled weekend!

Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

Questions on Sadieday

Our storms are gone and sunpuddles have returned this Sadieday!  We're glad to be able to enjoy summer for as long as we can!  Anyway, we have a question this Sadieday about introoder neighbor cats.  Our sisfur Sadie was always patrolling our yard keeping the introoder neighbor cats away...
Even when she was inside she alerted us to when the introoder neighbor cats came around...
Since Sadie is now at the Bridge one neighbor cat in particular, Dooney, always walks through our yard, stalks our birdies and yesterday he got into a huge fight on OUR deck with a Tuxie neighbor cat that we don't know.  Mommy ran outside and broke it up but it shook us up since we don't like the sounds fighting kitties make.   Since it gets our pantaloons in a bunch and he attacks other kitties in our yard, we need to do something to discourage Dooney from coming into our yard but we don't know what to do.  Mommy already tried to get the neighbor to keep him inside but she won't since he yowls to go out and the neighbor says going out is "what boys do".  Whatever.  Do you have any ideas of how to keep introoder cats out of our yard?  We especially want him out of our backyard since that's where he fights with the Tuxie cat or tries to catch our birdies.

We don't want anything to cause us to lose the Birdie Network...
Let us know if you have any suggestions.  We'd appreciate it!  And as always, be sure to spread those smiles since you never know who's day you'll make all that much better!

Have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend!

Thankful Thursday

Hello everybuddy!  I just wanted to check in to let you know that I'm doing alright.  I have my moments (okay, a lot of moments!) when all I want to do is sleep and I'm still not eating much but I still go outside to guard the yard from neighbor cats...
Coast is clear so time to go back inside for another nap...
I want to thank everybuddy who's commented, emailed or asked about me on Facebook.  There's no way to say how much your words of support means to me and my family.  My mommy is still having a tough time with this so she's very grateful for the thoughts and prayers too.   I know she's scared but I'll be okay.  Both Mommy and Daddy have been spending lots of time with me and I've got more kisses than I can count.  We never know what tomorrow will bring so be sure to enjoy every moment of today!

Lots of woos, love and gratitude,
Sadie

Observations...

I was enjoying some window whiffs this weekend when I spotted the neighbor cat, Jasper, doing unladylike things in the cul-de-sac...
She spotted me and tried to pretend she didn't do what I saw her do but I did see her do it!
See! There she goes!  Does she not know there may be kittens watching?
Hey you guys!  Come watch this!  You won't believe what Jasper's doing out in public!
Uh...she's just sitting there Angel.  What's wrong with that?
Whether inside or outside, cats are just weird...
But at least they always put on a good show!

Hope you have an exciting day!

Stroll on Sadieday!

Woo Hoo it's Sadieday!  The bestest day of the week!  I've been waiting all week to go on a stroll today so I hope you're ready!  Leash up your beans, grab your water and let's go!
As you can see we've been having some rain this week but it cleared up just in time for Sadieday!  I hope everybuddy comes out of the woodwork to enjoy the day...
Did you get it?  Woodwork and the deer was by a wood pole.  Ha roo roo!  I crack myself up!  Hey, wait a minute, it is still Sadieday not Caturday - this guy must be confused...
Just make sure he doesn't follow us home Mommy...
Speaking of home, we need to get going but I'm going to do a little off-roading before I get there...
I hope you get out this Sadieday and enjoy the grass between your toes!

Have a Happy Sadieday and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Just Kidding...Sort Of

Hey neighbor cat! You better be glad that I'm inside or else you'd find your furry butt up a tree... Uh, how long have you been there? I wouldn't really chase a cat up a tree. If it chose to run up the tree with me in hot pursuit it wouldn't be my fault!

Hope you have some fun today!
Sadie

PeeS: I never chase my kitty sisfurs but neighbor cats are fair game! Just don't tell Mommy I said that.

Tortie Tuesday

I know it's Tortie Tuesday but I'm a little preoccupied watching an introoder in our yard...
Dang! He spotted me too...
It's hard to spy on any kitty when my Tortieness is so dazzling it gives me away. I guess Torties have the true meaning of animal magnetism!

Hope you have a dazzling day!

Guard Dog Duty

We recently discovered there's some trouble brewing in our neighborhood. The trash man said he thought he saw a cougar in our cul-de-sac! Soon after Mommy and Daddy found this out, I heard this conversation:

Mommy: You're going to have to go out with Sadie in case there's a cougar around.
Daddy: And what am I supposed to do if there's one out there?
Mommy: Keep it away from Sadie of course!

I'm glad Mommy has the right priorites but if there's a cougar around, I need to be on full alert...
I take my Guard Dog duties very seriously and have figured out how to multi-task by looking out straight ahead while sniffing to the right...
Hey, I think my superb Guard Dog skills found something suspicious lurking in our backyard...
Well, it's not a cougar but it's an introoder nonetheless...
We're going to stay on high cougar alert until we know for sure if one's around. Daddy will be brave and go out with me at night and I'll try not to test him by making him take me out at 2am!

Hope you have a Happy (and safe) Cinco de Mayo!

Introoder!

Through a rain speckled window in the morning light, an orange introoder dared to stare at the unsuspecting occupants inside...
Until the resident guard dog showed up and promptly caused the introoder to poof up and run away...
Of course the guard dog was rewarded with a treat or two for getting the introoder off the rain slicked roof!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday! It's been cloudy, rainy and dreary here for days so I just want to nap in my penthouse apartment until the sun comes out again.
Trouble is the occupant in the studio apartment below me keeps pokin' my floor.

Hope you have a peaceful Tortie Tuesday!

Silly Sunday Scenes

Looking out the window is one of our favorite things to do...
Usually there isn't much going on in our cul-de-sac but today there's a deer eating lunch at our neighbor's...
The neighbor cat Bourke peeked around a bush to see what the deer was having for lunch...
Bourke went around behind the bush which confused the deer...
After a bit, Bourke saunters out from another spot which further confused the deer...
He wondered what in the world that little orange creature was and where'd he go...
He decided he'd sit and think about it for awhile! Ha roo roo!
Sometimes it pays off to be a Nosy Neighbor!

Hope you have a great Sunday!
