Fishin' Friday

We effectively wrapped up our tax season yesterday since all returns not done at this point will be extended by Tuesday's due date. With no tax returns to prepare, Mommy decided to go kitty fishing. As you can see by the smidgen of white floof in the background, somekitty wasn't biting...

Nope...

Okay, maybe a nibble...

Without much action on the desk, she decided to go bottom fishing and hooked a Tortie...

Amazingly, no sound was made nor was there any mention of fishing but Isabella woke up from her usually uninterruptible nap to come in and play. It's kinda like when she can tell that someone is eating cereal or ice cream in a bowl as opposed to something like soup or chili. Must be her Tortie superpower!

Finally a First on Friday!

It's finally Friday and would you believe for the first time ever Mommy has NO photos of us from this week? None, nada, zilch! We've all been up to the tips of our ears with tax returns for the HBO words procrastinators who's business returns are due on the 15th. That means we have absolutely nothing to post today. Oh wait, Mommy did take some photos of some cats - the neighbor cats next door who live inside (yay!) and look out their windows at us. This is Dez...

He's a cutie and Mommy says he's a total lover boy who followed her everywhere. He was hard to get pics of since he always wanted to be held. He'd get on the counters and headbutt her too...

His sisfur Callie was a little skeptical about Mommy at first...

She warmed up to her quickly though and even greeted her at the door. These kitties had never ever been alone before. Their mom is in France and she has a friend's son staying there while she's gone but he went rock climbing for three days so Mommy took care of them. Dez and Callie were super lonely so thankfully the friend's son is back and their mom will be home soon. By the way, we hear their house looks just like ours with kitty toys, beds, trees in every room and they even have a kitty play room full of toys for them! 

Anyway, we have to do more tax returns today but thankfully it's a holiday weekend so we get some sort of break. We have a suspicion that Mommy will be back to taking pictures of us soon. Rats.

Not Friday Features Again

Welcome to another edition of what should be Friday Features but isn't.  It's certainly not because we haven't been working because we have.  We helped Mommy make two pairs of earrings earlier this week but they've already sold so can't feature them.  Now we're just holding down the table until we figure out what to make next.  I got this end...

I dunno Bella.  I'm just not feeling it today so can you think of some ideas for me too?

Maybe if I stare at the beads long enough I'll think of something...

We did finally come up with three new pairs of earrings yesterday but Mommy hasn't got them listed yet.  Seems like I'm not the only lazy busy one around here!

Working Weekend

We hope you had a great weekend!  Ours was a busy but productive one.  This shelf was loaded with journals but as you can see, now it's just loaded with me...

It was a relief to get all the journals made and sent to the gift shop on the coast especially since I now have room to hang out in this cabinet.  Wonder if there's room for me on the other side...

Whoa nelly!  I found the bead stash!

Too bad the treat stash isn't as big as the bead one!

Do your humans have a stash of something that seems to multiply behind closed doors?

All Work and No Play...

There's been a whole lotta nothing going on around here lately except for us helping watching Mommy prepare tax returns.  We do take every opportunity that we can to make sure she gets a break...

But since she's been too busy to help us blog, we're going to take another short blogcation through next Monday or Tuesday - we don't know how long it'll take to get her to find time to help us.  In the meantime we're going to show her the job description for a CPA - Cats Purrsonal Assistant - to refresh her memory!

Finally Friday

We're so happy it's Friday!  Of course every day is like Friday to us but Mommy gets noticeably happier by the end of the week because she knows she's one day from spending an entire weekend catering to our every need!  She can play mousie with us...

She can lay in a sunpuddle with us...

And when it's our naptime, she can enjoy a stroll to check out the signs of spring since we know our sisfur Sadie would have enjoyed that...

Whatever she chooses to do, we hope she has a smile on her face all weekend...

And we hope that you do something to bring a smile to your face too!  Smiles are contagious so be sure to spread yours to others!

Mighty Crinkly Paper Hunter

Mommy's office is filled with crinkly paper that needs to be tamed because it keeps us busy!  I burrow in it and wait for any signs of movement...

It's never fast enough for my mighty hunting skills...

I feel like I'm being watched...

Hey there Isabella...I'm ripping this crinkly paper to shreds so you just shoo away...

Now where was I?  Oh yeah, watch out crinkly paper, I'm the mighty hunter!

I don't know why Mommy complains about working in her office so much, it's lots of fun!

Behind the Scenes

If you're a fan of our BeadedTail page on Facebook you know that we often give a sneak peak of what's hanging from the bead box.  These are quick photos of beady goodies we just finished.  But what you may not know is all the help that I provide getting these "quick" photos ready.  First I have to get into position...

Then once Mommy hangs them on the bead box, I have to keep them from dangling so they aren't blurry...

This isn't as easy as it seems...

Finally.  I think they are holding still...

Betcha didn't know so much goes on behind the scenes to get just one "quick" photo to post on our fan page!  It's a tough job but somekitty's got to do it!

Wordless Wednesday

We're Back!

We're back from our blogcation so maybe now we can rest up from all the work we did!  We'll give you a glimpse of our time off with photos - taken with Mommy's phone which she still is trying to figure out.  Anyway, in the mornings Isabella helped Mommy read the paper...

Then made biscuits on her belly...

She also helped her do tax returns at work...

We had a request to make a necklace using a pendant in memory of a calico kitty who had to go to the Bridge...  

Since this was extra special, I helped figure out the purrfect design and this is what we came up with...

We're looking forward to a relaxing week filled with window whiffin' and Birdie TV...

Working Vacation

Our Grandma from Las Vegas is here this week so that means we're supposed to be lavished with attention all day long right?  Yeah, no.  We've had to snoopervise her and Mommy paint.  Can you believe that?

At least I can watch the Birdie Network on the big screen while keeping an eye on Grandma too of course...

I'm keeping my eye on the lower half of the room.  It may look like I'm nodding off on the job but that's because I'm a purrfessional and have great snoopervising skills...

See.  I only look like I'm napping but I'm just that good...

I bet I could get a closer look if I got up here...

Hey, you missed a spot...

All done.  It's finally time for relaxing and enjoying window whiffs...
