We Need A Blogcation...

You know it's time for a blogcation when someTortie is up before somemommy.

Hey, Mommy. Don't you think it's time to get up and move your patooty outta my spot?

We're taking a staycation next week so in between snoopervising yardwork and other home improvement stuff, we're going to take a blogcation for a week or so too. We'll come back rested and ready for summer!

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a rainy and windy weekend. There wasn't much to do besides nap since even the birdies weren't out and about...

It's going to rain more this week but we won't notice since we'll be working hard to finish up tax returns...

Paws crossed this will be our last week of tax season! It's been our busiest one in quite awhile so we're all ready for it to end. Not sure we want the early morning meals to end but it'll be nice to have all of Mommy's attention again!

Weekend Wrap Up

We don't normally notice weekends but last week was so long we (aka somemommy) really needed a nice weekend. Of course we made sure she did! Isabella didn't even sleep through movie night, instead she stared at mommy...

Whenever Mommy went outside, I kept tabs on her...

It all worked and she had a really good weekend! She and a friend got supplies for a new crafty project they're starting soon. She also got the nerve up to make bread and butter pickles for the first time ever...

Now before you think she's all domesticated or something, Daddy had to chop up the cucumbers and onions for her but she did stir the ingredients and mix them together. She says they turned out pretty good for her first try. What I thought was good was relaxing with her after all that hard work...

What's also good is that our friends in Florida are all safe after the hurricane. The Hemingway kitties in Key West are also safe. We're so relieved but we're continuing to purr for all those effected as they clean up the aftermath of such a devastating storm.

Role Reversal

Boy am I glad it's Friday. I don't know what's got into Mommy but she's been cleaning out stuff all week long. I snoopervised as she cleaned out her jewelry box...

Usually Angel is the one who helps Mommy while I hold down my bed but not this time...

She's spoilt. Anyway, it's a long weekend for us since both Mommy and Daddy are off work until Wednesday. Hopefully I get time off too so I can catch up on my beauty sleep. Being awake Snoopervising is tough to do but someTortie has to do it.

Alright, I'm up - for Daddy, not the movie or popcorn. Well, maybe...

Oh, sorry, Bella. I didn't mean for you to get up right now - it's not night yet. Usually it takes you hours to wake up so I was just giving you a heads up in case you forgot what day it was.

Okay. In that case. Wake me when it's really time to get up...

I'm going to demonstrate how I can transform my Tortilicious self into a Tortie roll.  Are you ready to be amazed?

First I lay down and tuck in my ear since rolls don't have ears...

I'm halfway there.  The hardest part is staying awake until the next move...

Voila!  A purrfect Tortie roll...

Now, since I worked so hard to transform myself, I might as well stay here awhile and enjoy it...

Since I've been taking meds to help my asthma, I haven't been sleeping all day like I used to and I've been amazed at what goes on in our neck of the woods...

It's unbelievable how many people and critters are actually awake at the middle of the day!

Well, I'll be darned.  Who knew!

All the activity is tiring me out.  I might have to take a nap to recover!

PeeS:  I'm still having short asthma attacks in the middle of the night so the v-e-t said to up my meds to two a day for today and tomorrow to see if it'd help.  Once I don't have any more attacks, the hope is to take just 1 or even 1/2 a tablet whenever I need it.
