Our spring like weather last week has given way to cold temps and even a little snow. I don't mind though. I'm always warm with my daddy...

And the snow keeps my little sisfur entertained and out of my fur...

It's my 11th birthday today! I can't think of a better way to celebrate my day than to take a nap...

And later have ice cream with whipped cream on top. Oh yeah. That's a the purrfect way to enjoy my birthday!

Finally Friday

Although we finished our tax work by Wednesday this week, Mommy decided it was time to do some cleaning around the house. Mainly things like putting away stuffs from their Alaska trip from a month ago and cleaning stuffs off her desk from even more months ago. Snoopervising was so exhausting that I thought I'd give her a break from making the bed today...

Pretty thoughtful of me isn't it? I'm such a sweet Tortie. I'm also sleepy and there's a nap calling my name. Thank Cod I'm already in bed!

Every morning when Mommy gets out of bed, she quickly pulls the covers over her pillow because she knows I will even more quickly lay on it...

I don't know about you but even though the time change was two weeks ago, I'm still not used to it.  When the alarm goes off at o'dark thirty I just know it's an hour earlier than it should be!   Regardless, I stretch out my voluptuous Tortie legs and go right back to sleep...

That is until Mommy's giggles wake me up...

Clearly she's a few hours sleep short of a full load.  Now if she'll just leave I can get back to my beauty sleep...

Tortie Tuesday

It's 8:08am on Tortie Tuesday and my post is just now getting together.  Why so late you ask?  Well, Mommy thought she helped me last night but she obviously dreamt it because she didn't.  So, because of that I had to get up extra early today to wait on her.  This picture was taken at 7:59am which is an uncodly hour since it's even before 8!

I guess I need to figure if this is all teaching me something.  Hmmm, let me think, ah yes, patience!  And now here comes the trash truck to test that patience...

Okay, now that all that is over with it's time to ponder my newly learned lesson...

Oh, to halibut with that, time to get in a nap or two or sixteen to make up for getting up extra early today...

I'm not used to doing so much before 8:18 in the mornings!

Finally Friday!

This has been a long week with Mommy working her two part-time jobs while neglecting her CPA (Cat's Purrsonal Assistant) job.  We also had a noisy stranger here putting in a hot water heater, as if we need that, and he set off the smoke alarm making him one of the noisiest strangers ever!  Anyway, we're glad the weekend is here and the temps are lower which means a lot of watching the Birdie Network...

And a lot of resting up for a weekend full of relaxing...

Yeah, okay, we do those things every day so guess what makes weekends better is that Mommy and Daddy's full attention is on us!

Since I've been taking meds to help my asthma, I haven't been sleeping all day like I used to and I've been amazed at what goes on in our neck of the woods...

It's unbelievable how many people and critters are actually awake at the middle of the day!

Well, I'll be darned.  Who knew!

All the activity is tiring me out.  I might have to take a nap to recover!

PeeS:  I'm still having short asthma attacks in the middle of the night so the v-e-t said to up my meds to two a day for today and tomorrow to see if it'd help.  Once I don't have any more attacks, the hope is to take just 1 or even 1/2 a tablet whenever I need it.

I admit, I love to sleep and prefer to sleep until past noon but I do get up when my Daddy gets ready for work so I can make sure his clothes match are properly furred up.  I do all this while sprawled out on the comfy rug feeling the hot air thingy from under the cabinet...

But, being the purrfessional Tortie I am I keep an eye on what he's doing.

Uh, Daddy, are you really gonna wear that?

It's a tough job keeping Daddy looking dapper but somekitty has to do it!

Oh and don't worry, I go right back to bed with Mommy - after breakfast of course!

It's Tortie Tuesday - the bestest day of the week!  I'm going to spend it doing one of my favorite things - napping!

I always snatch the warm spot on Mommy's side of the bed as soon as she gets up...

PeeS:  After her plane being diverted to Medford because of fog in Eugene and then renting a car for the three hour drive back up this way, our Grandma from Las Vegas finally arrived at 1am Monday morning.  Besides catching up on our beauty sleep, we'll be a tad busy this week being spoilt so may not get to comment.  We'll do our best though!

It's Tortie Tuesday!  You know, since it is my day you'd think I could spend the day as I wish which would include sleeping in until noon but Mommy woke me up early so she could make the bed.  Why the heck does she need to do that when clearly I'm still using it...

To make her happy, I'll get up in a minute or so.  It's only 7:57am for Cod's sake...

I know Mommy, it's only 8:12!  I'll get up in a second...

9:20am - I'm ignoring you!

I SAID I'LL GET UP IN A MINUTE!

9:41am - Just not this minute...

10:45am - You sure are persistent aren't you?

10:48am - Fine, the bed is made but it doesn't look much better so what was the rush?

10:49am - Hey look -birdies!  It must be those early birds I've heard about!

Well, now that I'm up I suppose it's too much to ask for breakfast in bed.

This and That

What do you get when you combine busy work days for Mommy plus our hogging the computer watching birdie videos?  A little of this and that for today's post.  We'll start with my starvation diet.  I have lost .6 lbs in nearly two months so am down to 12.6 lbs but at least I'm maintaining my Tortieness.  Here's a side view of me and you can almost see my feets...

Lin asked if we have a bird feeder outside that we can watch birdies since we love the videos so much.  Yes, we do and there are a lot of birdies but they aren't quite as close as the video...

A lot of people asked why in the world do we get up when it's dark outside and it's because Mommy and Daddy get up to go to the gym at 4am.  Crazy huh?  Daddy works early so our schedules are all messed up but even if they get up early, I usually stay in bed until noon...

I have never had trouble sleeping in or sleeping a lot or sleeping anywhere.  Besides treats and my Daddy, sleep is my favorite thing ever!

Well, hope you enjoyed a little of this and that!  Some days we gotta make do with quick posts and using not so great quality cell phone pics because we don't want to cut short nap time!
