Black Furiday!

We hope all our U.S. friends enjoyed Thanksgiving yesterday! We sure did! After the feast, I offered to sit on the Tortie-colored kitchen counter. Any guesses as to why?
Clean up duty of course!
It's a tough job but somekitty had to do it...
Since it is Black Furiday, I want to let you know that Mommy has put more items in the sale section in her shop like these earrings...
Plus she is having a free worldwide shipping sale thru Sunday. Use the code FREESHIP on checkout and enjoy the savings!

Hope you have a great Black Furiday napping and enjoying leftovers!

After your turkey feast, try not to sit downwind from Uncle Tom...

Angel, what are you doing stinking your nose in my post?
Oh not you too Sadie...
I am thankful for my sisfurs even if they are pains in the patooties sometimes.
We're wishing all of you many things to be thankful for too!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We want to wish Happy Thanksgiving to our furiends here in the U.S. and say how thankful we are for our furiends throughout the world!

We have many things to be thankful for this year including...

A loving furever home
Plenty of food and treats
Lots of toys to play with
Sunshine on our furs
Sisfurs (and beans) to snuggle with
Windows to watch the birdies through

I could go on and on Mommy but it's time to bring on the Turkey!
That's not exactly what I had in mind.

Hope your home is filled with happiness, your heart is filled with love, and your belly is full of yummy foods!

One Week Until Turkey Time!

The current EtsyBloggers blog carnival topic chosen by MysticWynd is

"Most countries around the world have a day set aside to give thanks for a bountiful harvest. Here in the US, it's Thanksgiving. What do you celebrate wherever you live and how do you celebrate?"

Well, as stated in the topic, here in the U.S. we celebrate Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November which this year is one week from today. Using our photos from last year's Thanksgiving, we'll show you how we celebrate the day. Since we live far away from family, it's just me, my sisfurs and Mommy and Daddy and of course a turkey!
Mommy and Daddy fix a mini version of a traditional meal with all the fixin's. They begin getting it ready in the morning so we smell the aroma of the turkey as it's cooking.
Around noon it's turkey time! Of course we begin by remembering what we're thankful for like each other, our health and happiness but then we get to eat the turkey!
The rest of the afternoon we relax and enjoy the day together. That is how we celebrate Thanksgiving in our family.

Do you have any special celebrations in your family?

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's Thanksgiving so we're wishing you a wonderful day with family, friends and furbabies! Be sure to give lots of kisses to your loved ones.
Don't comment on Uncle Tom's funny feet.
Don't start eating before dinner is served!
Be sure to savor the moment and be grateful for those in your life!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We're very thankful for everybuddy who visits and we certainly are grateful for your comments! Have a wonderful holiday!

Thanksgiving Traditions

This month's EtsyBloggers Blog Carnival theme choices were 1) What is your favorite tradition for the Thanksgiving holiday? or 2) How are you going to prepare your business for the holiday rush? Since this will be our first holiday season with our BeadedTail shop, I have no idea how to prepare so I chose the discuss my favorite traditions for Thanksgiving.

Growing up I always remember my mom's fantastic stuffing and spending the day with family. We have a small family and I'm an only child so Thanksgiving was always a nice time to get together with grandparents and celebrate the day with good food and football. On November 23, 1983, the day before Thanksgiving that year, I began dating my now husband and he became a part of every Thanksgiving celebration!

Since the early 1990's, after hubby and I moved from Kansas to Colorado and later to Oregon, we have been celebrating all holidays with just the two of us as jobs and pets keep us from traveling to visit my mom in Las Vegas or my dad, Grandma and other family in Kansas. They are busy too so are unable to come visit us during the holidays.

Even though it's just the two of us, we still fix a Thanksgiving dinner, although on a much smaller scale, and we also have to watch football. We'll start a fire in the fireplace and just enjoy a nice, quiet day. This year will be more special since it's the 25th anniversary of our first Thanksgiving together and this is the year of our 20th wedding anniversary too. And of course, getting to spend the day with Sadie, Isabella and Angel is just the dollop of whipped cream on the already perfect pumpkin pie!
