It's Halloween on Tortie Tuesday so guess who gets to be the one to pose with a pumpkin...

Kinda ridiculous if you ask me but I might as well make the best of it...

Well, why am I not surprised she couldn't stay out of it...

It is Halloween after all and there's bound to be a devil around...

We'll be hanging out downstairs in the mancave with the outside lights off since my little sisfur freaks out at the doorbell ringing. What are your plans for Halloween?

Reluctant Happy Halloween!

The resident Halloween colored Tortie is sleeping so guess who gets to pose with the pumpkin. Yep, me. The one who hates trick or treaters ringing the doorbell so much we turn out all the lights so no one comes to our door except those who have no clue what no lights on means. Oh well, by Sunday the day will be over for another year so I'll pose but I'm still not happy about it...

Are you like my sisfur Isabella and don't even notice doorbells or scary sticky people or do you despise Halloween and delivery trucks like I do? If you leave your lights on, what treats are your peeps handing out?

Happy Halloween?

Mommy put out this velvet pumpkin today.  Since when are pumpkins made of velvet?

And what the halibut are these things sticking out of it?

Oh noes Bella, I just realized what it means when she brings out a pumpkin!

Oh yeah, I remember what it means too - it's Halloween!

What was that?

It's too early for doorbell ringing goblins Angel but they'll be here soon enough.  Maybe we can talk Mommy and Daddy into shutting out the lights and going downstairs to hide out from those goblins!

I don't mind doorbell ringing goblins but my little sisfur Angel hates them immensely which upsets Mommy.  This is one holiday we dread and hope it's over with soon!  Do you mind the trick or treaters?

Happy Thanksgiving to all our furiends here in the U.S.!   We're taking time to reflect on all that we are thankful for today...

We're also thankful that'll we'll have whipped cream today!  I don't quite understand why we have to pose with a velvet pumpkin though...

It's Halloween!

Halloween is finally here no matter how much we didn't want it to come.  I don't like the doorbell one bit so to have it ring over and over again for a few hours is not my idea of fun.  Isabella couldn't care less.  She sleeps through anything!  Anyway, to prepare for tonight I was grazing on nip sprinkled on my Ess when Mommy called me to come see her pumpkin...

OMC Mommy!  You interrupted my nip fest for that...that...pumpkin wannabe?

She showed it to Isabella too.

Are you sure that's a pumpkin or is it an upside down lollipop?

Uh oh, looks like Angel's had too much nip again...

HELP!  Get me outta here!  This pumpkin is stalking me!

PeeS:  Yesterday's post was of Isabella yawning.  She never makes a scary face or gets mad, ever, but she does yawn.  A lot.

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday and also the day before Halloween.  My angel sisfur Sadie wasn't too keen on Halloween because of the scary trick or treaters at the door and my little sisfur Angel hates the doorbell so she really isn't keen on Halloween.  Me, I'm so mellow that I sleep right through it but I have found something in common with this pumpkin.  Can you guess what it is?

I have orange in my furs and this pumpkin is orange.  You didn't think it was something else did you?

Yeah, I didn't think so.

PeeS:  Thanks for the suggestions for feeding schedules yesterday.  I didn't mention it but I weigh 13.2 lbs which I think is just fine but it does make my legs a little short.  The evil v-e-t didn't say how much I should lose just that I have to stop gaining and should lose some to prevent arthritis.  Yeah, she's a party pooper.    Angel is still waking Mommy up but she gets her 8 hours of sleep even if it takes two nights to get it instead of one. 

Christmas Pumpkin?

Hey efurryone! I've got something to tell you and it's rather embarassing because it shows how slack our mommy has been lately. On second thought, maybe I shouldn't say anything. Ah, what the heck, we're among furiends here but lean in close because I don't want others to find out...
Yesterday I walked into the living room when, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a miniature sleigh pumpkin! Yep, that's right, a pumpkin! Seems that Mommy never bothered to take it off the mantle after Halloween over a MONTH ago! Told you she's been slack... Even Angel couldn't believe it was still around!
The reason she finally took the pumpkin down was that she remembered it was there put up our Christmas stockings for Santa Claws to fill with treats. I wonder if she leaves them up past Christmas if Santa will keep coming back to fill them up! A girl can wish!

Happy Halloween?

Okay, I'm going to be honest here, we don't like Halloween. At all. We don't want to participate by wearing any silly costumes and we don't like the doorbell ringing all night long with creepy looking kiddos yelling "Trick or Treat!" even though it's usually followed by "Oh look at the cute doggy!". Anyway, Mommy insisted we do something Halloween-y so she brought home a little pumpkin that Angel inspected...
And Isabella totally ignored...
Looks like the pumpkin was a failure Mommy! Maybe now we can just forget about Halloween! What? You want me to do what?
Guess who got stuck with the pumpkin. Yep, me.
Alright you pumpkin! You wanna meet Sadie Scissorhands?
Oops, did I say that in my outside voice?
See what Halloween turned me into! Good thing it's not time for a Sadieday stroll because who knows what would happen to me...

Happy Halloween everyone! We got out of having to wear costumes this year and since I'm the resident black and orange cat, I get to pose with our little pumpkin...

I might even give the stem a bitey...

We'll be hanging out in the basement tonight since Angel is scairt of the doorbell and Sadie isn't allowed to sniff the goblins who come trick or treating. I nap right through all the excitment so am content wherever I am.
