Fursday Review

It's obvious that I'm a natural beawooty but for some reason Mommy doesn't think my furs all over the house is that beawootiful.  Yeah, I know, she's silly.  Anyway, I absolutely hate being brushed but awhile back we had the opportunity to try a FURminator and although I only tolerate it for 43.6 seconds, Mommy is able to get a lot of loose furs from my gorgeous, thick husky coat during that little time.

Well, unbeknownst to me, Mommy was contacted by the FURminator people again to try out their new at-home grooming tool line.  These are a 2-Step Grooming Process which encourages brushing first to detangle and smooth fur and combing second to smooth and extract debris, mats and tangles.  She answered some questions about my furs and the tools showed up in the mail.  Step 1's Slicker Brush looked a little intimidating...
Step 2's Curry Comb didn't look so bad.  I think I can get away from handle this one...
I agreed to let her attempt to try these things out on me but she'd have to catch me first...
Mommy, since you're the one who agreed to this, why don't you try it out on yourself!
She didn't go for that and she eventually caught me and you know what, it wasn't so bad.  I don't know how those FURminator people do it but their brushes really work...
The Slicker Brush didn't take out as much fur as the regular FURminator does but it was sure easy to use and tolerate - even by somebuddy who hates brushing like me.  The Curry Comb didn't work all that well but we don't know if that was because 1) my furs are so thick; 2) the teeth of the comb weren't very thick or 3)  I didn't sit still long enough to give it a good try.  Regardless, don't I look beawootiful even with less fur...
Even my cutie patootie is cuter!
The 2-Step Grooming Process seems to be made for furs that aren't as thick as husky fur but regardless, the brush did work on me but the comb, not so much.  We do appreciate that FURminator has great tools that work without a lot of time, effort or drama for both me and my kitty sisfurs.

Do you use the FURminator brushes?

Hope you have a great FURsday!

Disclaimer:  We receive the Slicker Brush and Curry Comb from FURminator free of charge but that did not influence our opinions expressed in this post.

Furrsday

Even though our weather is getting cooler, my furs are coming out all over the place. I think it makes efurrything prettier but Mommy doesn't agree so she brought out something I don't like, the FURminator! I only allowed about 25 seconds of FURmination but she still stole a lot of perfectly good furs... I think we're finished here so let's go inside now!
There better be treats waiting for me too!

Enjoy your Furrsday!

Getting Spiffy for New Years...

I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky dog most of the time. A time when I'm not is when I have to be combed which I Hate with a capital H. I tolerate it but not for very long so imagine my surprise when I found out Mommy agreed to review a FURminator deShedding tool made especially for, ahem, big dogs with longer hair like me! What? Are you kidding?
My kitty sisfurs have one of those things and it was used on me - once. I did not like it one bit. But come to find out, size does matter! I was very surprised, and so was Mommy, to find out that a FURminator made for me really does work! I didn't let her comb me for long but I didn't mind it as much as I do my other comb. Also, each pass of the FURminator got more hair out of me then anything ever has. You know what that means? More productive combing means less combing! I like that part! Another part I liked was my reward...
For all of you woofies out there, I would recommend a FURminator to keep you looking all pretty like me for lot less trouble than with a regular comb. If you have a thick undercoat like I do, it even pulls out the hair underneath without you even knowing it.

For all you kitties out there, not only is the FURminator deShedding tool available in long and short hair varieties for dogs but now it's available in long and short hair varieties for cats too! Now all of us can get all spiffied up just in time for New Years!

Now back to my peanut butter!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

Last month we won a FURminator from Wally, Ernie and Zoe - the Island Cats - for Romeo's National Hairball Awareness Day. Our FURminator arrived last week and Mommy couldn't wait to try it out on my long hair and on my sisfur Isabella's thick tortie hair. I wasn't so sure about it though.
Isabella and I don't really like to be combed - actually we both despise it but tolerate it - a little. We did let Mommy use the FURminator on us - a little - and she was very happy with the amount of hair that it did get out in the few minutes seconds that we let her comb us. Our big sisfur Sadie, who hates to be combed worse than us, came over and snickered at us being FURminated.
Then we told her that although the box says it's the Cat version, she was going to be FURminated next...
Not so funny now is it Sadie?

Even though the FURminator is the smaller kitty version, it got quite a bit of hair out of Sadie in the little time she let Mommy use it on her. We're all for more results with less combing so in that case we all really like the FURminator!

Thank you Wally, Ernie, Zoe and Romeo too!
