Getting Spiffy for New Years...

I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky dog most of the time. A time when I'm not is when I have to be combed which I Hate with a capital H. I tolerate it but not for very long so imagine my surprise when I found out Mommy agreed to review a FURminator deShedding tool made especially for, ahem, big dogs with longer hair like me! What? Are you kidding?
My kitty sisfurs have one of those things and it was used on me - once. I did not like it one bit. But come to find out, size does matter! I was very surprised, and so was Mommy, to find out that a FURminator made for me really does work! I didn't let her comb me for long but I didn't mind it as much as I do my other comb. Also, each pass of the FURminator got more hair out of me then anything ever has. You know what that means? More productive combing means less combing! I like that part! Another part I liked was my reward...
For all of you woofies out there, I would recommend a FURminator to keep you looking all pretty like me for lot less trouble than with a regular comb. If you have a thick undercoat like I do, it even pulls out the hair underneath without you even knowing it.

For all you kitties out there, not only is the FURminator deShedding tool available in long and short hair varieties for dogs but now it's available in long and short hair varieties for cats too! Now all of us can get all spiffied up just in time for New Years!

Now back to my peanut butter!
Sadie

I love my Furminator! In fact, I need to get on my human - she hasn't used mine on me in a while...

The Furminator works well. We all like it at our house too! Here's the link to the post we wrote about it: http://zemeks.blogspot.com/2010/07/we-all-like-furminator.html (We even included a video) Glad you don't mind getting all pretty now, Sadie.

You are looking good Sadie. If it was the furminator than it did a good job. But I suspect it might also have something to do with the peanut butter. You certainly are happy in the last picture.

Thanks Sadie for that information. Jasmine says that she hates to be brushed too and she has terrible long hair so we need to get our Mom to see about getting one of these doggie Furminators. Great review. All the best to you from all of us kitties, woofies, donkeys, and the goat.

Sadie you are wonderful. I will have to tell Horace. He loves to be brushed and just thinks it is amazing, almost like a massage. But since he is a fuzzy kitty with medium long hair I have to brush him all the time. He does not mind but I do. I will check this new brush out and see if he likes it. Thanks so much.

You sure look pretty and smooth, Sadie!

We have a FURminator, but we don't think it's for long-haired cats. Samson loves it (but he loves anything), and us Tortie girls hate it (with a capital H too!)!! We wonder if the long-haired one would be better.

Harley thanks you for this review! He also HATES to be combed! We've heard of these and wondered how well they worked...off to do some shopping! Add a FURminator and special treats to the list :)

OMG my Dad's old dog could have used one of those things. He had this old timey thing that looked more like a stick attached to needles. But the dog loved it--weird dog.

by the way, Sadie, you look gorgeous.

Wow we had no idea they came out with a bunch of new furminators! We have one (one of the originals) and it is great but it is nice to know they are getting more specialized ones too!

Yay for more efficiency and less combing! You definitely look all spiffied up, Sadie!

Your coat is looking exceptionally lovely today Sadie. That Furminator must do a wonderful job. I'm jealous you got skippy. PB is my favorite, next to chocolate

Mom wishes they would ask her to review the one for long haired cats, because she would buy one if she knew it worked for me and I would let her use it, but they are $50, which is more than she wants to spend just to try it. Glad it worked for you!

My Kitty has a furminator, but he only will tolerate it for so long. It sure gets the fur out, and he looks great when we are done. Happy New Year to all of you at Beaded Tail!

Excellent review my lovely puppy pal! I'm saving my NYE midnight smoochies for you girls!!

I'll have to get one of these for our cats. They hate the brush we use now...and my wife has the scratches to prove it.
I'm sorry that I have been absent the past week or so, but I have been doing research on a project I'm doing and doing some power reading. I usually don't have more than 20 minutes to read each day, so to have a few hours to read each day is too good to be true.
