Weekend Wrap Up

Our mommy got home yesterday after her long weekend getaway with friends. She said it was lots of fun and also relaxing with beautiful sunsets...

And lovely views...

Looks kinda ho hum to us. I think our weekend with Daddy was way better than her's. We had a blast!

Hahahaha! The birdie crossed the road for the halibut! Hahahaha! That's funny Daddy!

In addition to lots of laughter we also had niptinis and extra treats - for the halibut! Get it? For the halibut! Hahahaha! I crack myself up!

Mommy is away for a getaway with friends so we're home being spoiled with Daddy! That means all things that are nice and neat when Mommy is home...

Wordless Wednesday - Office Cat(s)

Tasty Tuesday #ChewyInfluencer

We're combining Tortie and Tasty Tuesday today but I'm not quite sure why there's two bowls here. Don't we only need the one with my name on it?

We were asked by the wonderful folks at Chewy.com to try out ZiwiPeak Daily-Cat Cuisine Lamb Canned cat food so guess that means both of us should give it a try...

First impressions are it's pretty tasty! It's grain free and packed with real New Zealand lamb. It contains a minimum of 66% raw meat. For a kitty with no teeth like me, that means it's thick so it takes a lot of lickin'...

We liked the ZiwiPeak so well we cleaned our bowls...

At least we did the first and second time we tried it. The ZiwiPeak Daily-Cat Cuisine canned cat food we received was 6 oz cans. This is twice the size of the cans of food we normally eat. A 3 oz can of food is two meals for us so the 6 oz can is four meals. Because of this, we really liked the first two meals but not so much the next two. Mommy couldn't figure out if this is because we were 'tired' of the food or because it was too cold or old or whatever. She tried to fool us by switching back and forth with different foods but after the first can, we never finished our meals again even with a fresh can. It does come in 3 oz cans but in a case of 24. That's a lot of foods if we won't eat it. So, we guess we give ZiwiPeak two paws up. We'd be willing to try a different flavor or even try this flavor again at a later date since we are kinda finicky and might like it on a different day. 

Anyway, despite how this review turned out, we still give all paws up for Chewy.com! We love the variety Chewy.com offers and the fabulous customer service too! They also offer free shipping on orders over $49! If you haven't tried them out, be sure to do so!

Observations

I've discovered several things lately and thought I'd share some with you. First of all I discovered that I get my best sleep in my blanket hammick on movie night. No matter how fidgety Mommy gets when her feets supposedly go numb, I don't wake up...

A lot of the colors in our house match my furs...

Now that Daddy is in management, we've discovered how many catered lunch meetings there are. Who knew management ate so well!  Also, he has to wear ties now and he was positive I'd play with them and fur them up when I'm on my laundry throne. Of course, he discovered he was wrong...

I've also discovered that Mondays come really quickly during tax season.

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday and Mommy wanted me to make an announcement which of course I figured would be she's taking the day off to cater to my every desire. Instead she said something that is just shocking to me...

No, it's not that I get as many treats as I want. She said she's getting too busy so our posting and commenting might be a little sporadic for the next couple of months.  Can you believe that? She said we'll blog when 1) we have something to say (always), 2) we're cooperative with pictures (whatever), and 3) she has time (sigh). If only we had thumbs!

She feels better with the pressure off but we that doesn't help us any. Anyway, in case we go missing now you know it's ALL Mommy's fault.

15th Gotcha Day Flashback

We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend! Today we're remembering our angel sisfur Sadie on what would've been her 15th Gotcha Day into our family. Yep, it was in the middle of tax season that this little 8 week old puppy became a member of our family. We hope you enjoy this flashback to a previous puppy post to celebrate this day!

Today would have been our sisfur Sadie's 15th Gotcha Day!  We thought cute puppy photos of her would be the perfect way to begin the weekend so here's Sadie as she strolled into Mommy and Daddy's hearts...

She sure was a cute little baby wasn't she?

It's easier to see how small she was next to Daddy...

And here she is with our other angel sisfur KC who was 40 lbs.  Sadie grew up to weigh twice that...

We hope you enjoyed seeing Sadie's baby pictures!  They sure started our week off with a smile and we hope you're smiling too!  Be sure to spread those smiles around and brighten someone else's day too!

Finally Friday

We're so glad it's Friday especially since it's the start of Valentine's Day weekend! It's our mommy's favorite holiday since she's a sucker for hearts, love and all that mushy stuff. She's also a sucker for us so we know how to make her weekend even better...

I'm also purrfect...

In case you're wondering what my little sisfur is, well, let's just say Mommy thinks she's purrfect but she thinks the window needs to be opened. Now.

Today is the third and final day of our quote challenge. We're going to end it with a quote from our own mommy who has said this for many, many years:

It's Tortie Tuesday and also day two of our quote challenge we started yesterday. I'm a very wise Tortie so today's quote is something I came up with for Mommy when she used to wake up on Sunday immediately wishing the day would last forever to avoid going to work on Monday...

"Don't dread tomorrow because you'll lose the joy of today."

Thankfully she no longer dreads Monday or any work day but she keeps this quote in mind when any dread starts stealing her joy. I make the most of my bed every moment of joy each day...

Wise Words

We're kicking off the week with a challenge. The Kitties Blue tagged us to participate in the Three Day Quote Challenge and we decided to give it a try! The rules of this challenge are simple:

1. Post for three consecutive days.
2. Choose and share one or three quotes each day.
3. Challenge three additional bloggers each day.

We're going to share one quote for each day and we're playing the cat card on #3 and not going to follow that rule. Instead we challenge anyone who'd like to participate to do so! Anyway, our first quote comes from a fellow blogger, Grace from Dragon's Alley. She says a lot of things that inspire our mommy and makes her look at things differently. Last month she replied to our mommy's comment on her blog post with this:

"You are you wherever you go so the thing is - you enjoy the people where you are for who and what THEY are. And you just keep on being you. You're not a fish out of water, you're just a fish in different water."

Isn't that wise? Wouldn't this world be a better place if everyone just accepted others for who and what they are all while being ourselves too? Much thanks to Grace for once again reminding us to look at things in a way we all should but sometimes forget to do! We're all unique in our own way and it should be celebrated...

It's Tortie Tuesday, my most favorite day of the week! I know this day is all about me so I should be the one in the prime spot by the window...

But it means much more to me to see the pure bliss on my little sisfur's face...

Sometimes we get more by giving to others. By making my little sisfur happy, I'm happy. Isn't that what it's all about?

Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you enjoyed the last weekend of January! We got abandoned on Saturday while Mommy and Daddy went to the International Cat Show in Portland to see Summer and her human Janiss. See how excited Summer was to see that crazy lady our mommy again?

Actually, Mommy said Summer was super sweet as always and let Mommy muss up her furs once or twice. She was sleeping most of the time despite the incredible amount of people who were at the show. Summer's half brother Chilly was right next to her and he got called up to compete while Mommy was there...

He's a blue Somali and was a sweetie too and gave mommy a little kiss and rubbed his nose on her's. She may have been smitten by Summer and Chilly and also surrounded by lots of other cats at the show but we're the ones she came home to and I made sure she didn't go anywhere else...

I even turned up the purrs so she was putty in my paws! We all ended up having a great weekend!
