A Bit of Summer...

We had Summer in Oregon this weekend. Summer Samba and her human were in Portland for the CFA International Cat Show so our mommy and daddy went to see them! Summer wasn't competing this time but she was the Pet Me cat so her job was to represent the Somali breed, look cute and also make people squee..

Of course our mommy squee'd, A LOT especially when Summer was in her Santa outfit...

Summer is a very special kitty. She's a therapy cat, she's super sweet and she does tricks like high five and ringing a bell. She's a hard working kitty but she also knows when it's time to take a break...

Mommy very much enjoyed seeing Summer and her human again. Rumor has it she might have done some Christmas shopping at the cat show for her two favorite kitties too! It was a good weekend all around!

Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you enjoyed the last weekend of January! We got abandoned on Saturday while Mommy and Daddy went to the International Cat Show in Portland to see Summer and her human Janiss. See how excited Summer was to see that crazy lady our mommy again?

Actually, Mommy said Summer was super sweet as always and let Mommy muss up her furs once or twice. She was sleeping most of the time despite the incredible amount of people who were at the show. Summer's half brother Chilly was right next to her and he got called up to compete while Mommy was there...

He's a blue Somali and was a sweetie too and gave mommy a little kiss and rubbed his nose on her's. She may have been smitten by Summer and Chilly and also surrounded by lots of other cats at the show but we're the ones she came home to and I made sure she didn't go anywhere else...

I even turned up the purrs so she was putty in my paws! We all ended up having a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you had a great weekend!  It was rainy and icky here which is the perfect weather to snuggle with Mommy...

When we snuggled Saturday night, Mommy told me all about her day in Portland where Summer and her human were participating in a cat show.  Summer is only 11 months but she was very purrfessional while being judged and her human is looking on...

Isn't she adorable as her human is holding her...

Mommy petted Summer a lot and even got to give her a tummy rub!  She said Summer was a lovebug who rubbed her sweet face against Mommy's hand right away and let her put her fingers all over her.   Mommy didn't hold her because 1) she was afraid she'd muss up her furs and 2) she didn't trust herself to give her back!  Yep, Mommy was smitten with Summer and she enjoyed meeting her and visiting with her human but she still thinks I'm the cutest ever...

Of course she does.  How could she not?
