Tortie Tuesday

Although all kitties are works of art, last Tuesday our mommy went to the Portland Art Museum to see an art piece of kitties. It's Carl Kahler's painting called "My Wife's Lovers."  Mommy heard about this painting last fall so when she found out it was going to be on exhibit in Portland she had to go see it! Her friend took this picture of Mommy as she was taking pictures of the painting...

Here's one of those pictures...

It's a huge (6 x 8.5 feet) painting with 42 kitties and of course she picked one out that she thought looked like Angel. Can you tell which one it is?

There was only one Tortie...

Notice the Tortie doesn't look at the camera? Well, I'm taking a cue from that today...

I'm not being uncooperative. I'm being artistic!

We're not sure where the painting will be on display once it leaves Portland this Sunday. If it's in your area at any time, we highly recommend you go see it!

Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you had a wonderful weekend! We had a relaxing yet busy weekend. While we were siesta-ing on Friday, Mommy and Daddy went to the coast. For some reason Mommy finds it relaxing...

Whatever. We prefer naps. Anyway, the relaxing was over once she got back because I had to help snoopervise the design process for two bridesmaid necklaces. I helped her decide on this design...

Of course the crystals will be connected with chain but Mommy didn't want to start chopping up chain until I approved the design. What would she do without me? After all that I snoopervised while Mommy and Daddy started cleaning up the side yard and planting the garden...

There's still lots to do but at least they made progress. Thanks to me of course...

It's a tough job being a snoopervisor but somekitty's got to do it!

Siesta de Mayo

We're extending our celebration of our Mexicat heritage by declaring this Seis de Mayo to be Siesta de Mayo!

Pretty brilliant idea huh? It's such a great idea we're going to extend it clear through the weekend. Ole!

Nothing has been redecorated in Daddy's mancave yet since Daddy has vetoed Mommy's ideas so far. I'm thinking as long as me and Daddy are in there, it's purrfect the way it is!

Hard Work Pays Off

Because of all my hard work helping Mommy with tax returns, she got me an after tax season bonus...

It's a flying Neko fly!

It's supposed to be nearly indestructible since I'm known for deading flying toys within days...

Don't worry, I let my big sisfur Isabella play with it too...

I wasn't far away though...

We enjoyed playing with it all weekend so thank Cod it's Monday and we can finally get some rest.

Thankful Thursday

Our friend Sandee from Comedy Plus posts what she's thankful for on Thursdays so we thought we'd give it a try here too. One thing we're thankful for is that we're going to meet Sandee in purrson this summer! I will even probably come out of hiding so she can pet me. Isabella loves company so she's thankful someone else is coming to spoil her too.

Another thing I'm thankful for is our daddy. He works really hard for us to have everything we could ever want and then some. When he has rough days at work I make sure and give him extra purr therapy...

I know he's thankful for it too despite his even louder than Mommy's complaints about numb feets.

We're thankful our gingerbread house is still out and that we have a box full of toys.

We're also thankful tax season is over and Mommy has more time to play with us. We're thankful she has an awesome boss now too. She put up with way too much negativity and stress at her old job so to have a job and boss she enjoys has changed all our lives immensely. Even her new boss lets her know how good she has it now! Hee hee!

Weekend Wrap Up

After a relaxing week we thought we'd have a relaxing weekend too but nooooo. Somemommy decided it was time to change things up in Daddy's mancave. Of course I had to snoopervise...

The room has looked the same the whole 9.5 years my sisfur and I have lived here so it was quite unsettling standing on the pictures instead of them being on the walls...

But, like a good snoopervisor I ignored the chaos and helped...

We took everything out of the frames we took down...

I'm not sure we're trendsetters but we are going to change things up...

Especially now that we have a blank slate...

I know one thing that isn't going to change and that's the placement of this table...

It's a tough job being a snoopervisor but somekitty's got to do it!

Happy Earth Day!

We're ending a wonderfully relaxing week celebrating Earth Day. All week we've enjoyed sunpuddles, fresh air and the sound of birdies from open windows...

It's been so glorious. If I was on a mountaintop I'd tell the world:

Uh oh. Did I say that in my outside voice?

Well, anyway, I am happy this Earth Day for our beautiful planet and all it has to offer. I'm happy to have enjoyed it this week with Mommy home and away from the computer. I hope you've enjoyed your week too!

Tortie on Tax Day

Today is the official end of tax season and as we said last week, Mommy was supposed to go to Colorado and we were going to have a week off. Well, thanks to Mommy being a worry wart Mother Nature, she canceled her trip to stay home with us because of a snow storm in Denver...

She was looking forward to the after tax season party but we're glad she's home with us and Daddy.

Thanks Mother Nature for snowing in Colorado so Mommy is home with us...

Thanks for the birdies too!

Now, about that week off. We haven't prepared anything and we're wanting to change things up around here anyway so we may or may not post. We're all tired and really need the break to do nothing. Thanks for your patience with us!

If you have ideas or something you'd like for us to do or do differently, please let us know! We're stumped!

Tax Time is Almost Over!

I'm thankful that many things will change after tax season such as helping Mommy work in the office so much. One thing I won't miss is when she tells me I make a better door than a window...

What the heck does that mean? I'm a cat not a door!
Speaking of windows I hear a birdie out that one...

I sure won't miss sitting here all day working instead of watching the Birdie Network!

We survived tax season, of course thanks to my help! It was somewhat enjoyable and fairly stree free despite the seemingly endless tax returns. The actual end this year is Monday the 18th so Mommy is going to Colorado on Saturday to celebrate the end with the others in the office. We'll be celebrating here with Daddy! We probably won't have time for posts next week so we'll be back on Monday, April 25th. Don't forget us! See you then!

Tortie Tuesday

It's the last Tortie Tuesday before the end of tax season and Mommy is starting to look around at everything she's put off doing for 3.5 months like cleaning, dusting, filing piles of stuff, product reviews, etc.. I hope she won't notice our gingerbread house is still out even though Christmas is long over...

Dang, she noticed. Thank Cod it'll be a couple of weeks before she puts it away. Not that I use it or anything but that's not the point. It should be available if I wanted to use it. Which I don't but again, that's not the point. Make sense?

With tax season ending one week from today I made sure Mommy got some relaxation in by holding her down a lot...

Okay, maybe I'm the one who relaxed while she complained about her feets going to sleep all while squeeing at my cute reflection in the laptop screen...

Friday Flashback

With 10 days left of tax season our brains are officially mush and we've run into production difficulties when we don't do anything and when we do, Mommy is at her desk not paying attention. Because of this, we're going to do a Friday Flashback to 5 years ago this month with our sisfur Sadie and her thoughts about whether or not cats rule. Hope you enjoy this flashback!

The other day we got a package delivered with a quilt made by our Grandma in Las Vegas. Thirty seconds after our Mommy opened it, Angel staked her claim to it...

She showed no signs of leaving...

Until she heard something she had to check out in the other room...

Then I got a chance to inspect the package...

But I didn't get finished sniffing all the smells Grandma sent before Isabella plopped her patootie in the package too...

My kitty sisfurs think they rule the roost...

I just let them think they do but I know better!

I'll just wait until they decide to get out of the package though.

Ooops!

I slept clear through Tortie Tuesday but thankfully woke up in time for today's sunpuddle...

Actually, along with tax season we're all winding down and not doing anything blog worthy. Oh yeah sure I jumped from the nightstand landing full force on Mommy's ribs in the middle of the night waking her up which in turn woke up Daddy and half the neighborhood but we can't blog about that HBO words tirade. Until we have something G rated to can blog about, we'll be enjoying the spring sunpuddles!

Snuggling up against my mommy makes both of us happy...

Despite her complaints of her legs and feets going to sleep from sitting cross legged on the couch. I've learned to tune those out.
