Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2018! Wishing you a year filled with everything you dream of! You may have noticed that we've been taking extra time off from blogging lately. This trend will most likely continue in 2018 not only because tax season will be kicking it up a notch soon (ugh!) but also because the craziness of this past holiday season has reminded us to slow down and be present every day all year long. Of course this has always been my philosophy...
I know how to enjoy every moment even when a pesky little sisfur is antsy and wants what I have...
She's relentless...
But I'm not budging...
*sigh*
Anyway, we'll still be here but will be more quiet than usual and enjoying our moments together. Well, most of the time.

Do you have any changes planned in 2018?

Hope you enjoy your Tortie Tuesday!

Weekend Wrap Up

You'd think since we work so hard during the week that we could relax on the weekend but nope, our work is never done. We had to snoopervise the hanging of new blinds...
I also had to inspect the discombobulation that happened in the bedroom yesterday...
The clock, lamp and mattress are on the floor and the nightstand is pushed over to the wall. It does make me a whole lot closer to those shelves...
A new headboard and frame will be delivered today which caused all the commotion. Having the nightstand over here does give a new vantage point for birdie watching...
Any chance we can leave it in this spot from now on Mommy?
Guess we'll have to continue working hard for three more weeks and then have the rest of the year to relax! We can't wait!

How was your weekend?

Happy last week of March!

Mid Year Crisis...

Okay, so maybe it's not a crisis but we just realized that 2016 is now half over! How'd that happen so fast? We planned to make changes or at least shake things up around here. Let's just say there's not a lot of shaking going on...
We know, we're cute. Being adorable is hard work but we make it look easy.

Anyway, we still hope to change our blog up but somemommy hasn't had time to help us think of what to do. Is there something you'd like to see or do you have any questions you'd like us to answer? Any ideas/help/treats would be greatly appreciated!

What do you have planned for the next half of 2016?

Enjoy your day!

Weekend Wrap Up

After a relaxing week we thought we'd have a relaxing weekend too but nooooo. Somemommy decided it was time to change things up in Daddy's mancave. Of course I had to snoopervise...
The room has looked the same the whole 9.5 years my sisfur and I have lived here so it was quite unsettling standing on the pictures instead of them being on the walls...
But, like a good snoopervisor I ignored the chaos and helped...
We took everything out of the frames we took down...
I'm not sure we're trendsetters but we are going to change things up...
Especially now that we have a blank slate...
I know one thing that isn't going to change and that's the placement of this table...
It's a tough job being a snoopervisor but somekitty's got to do it!

What did you do this weekend?

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Finally Friday

We had another busy week around here with doing tax returns for Mommy's boss. We know, we know, we're just too nice but more green papers means more treats right? One good thing I discovered this week is that the new furniture placement makes for ideal sunpuddles...
Another good thing is that our Grandpa from Kansas is coming! It's been a long time since we've been spoiled by seen him so we're looking forward to his visit!

Since we'll be busy with our Grandpa, we're not sure how much we'll be posting for the next week. We'll try to keep up with everyone but if we go missing for awhile, that's why. Hope you don't forget us!

Hope you have lots of sunpuddles in your neck of the woods!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday - the bestest day of the week! As we mentioned yesterday, there's been some changes around here due to new living room furniture. The main change for me is that instead of being in a cuddle pile with my little sisfur on the couch...
Our cuddle pile is on the cat tree/Birdie TV perch...
For some reason the new couch isn't conducive for cuddling on the back plus there's two chairs that move back and forth and side to side. That certainly isn't kitty friendly! Don't worry, I'm still able to sit on or beside Daddy in his chair so all is well.  Because of that, everything is Tortie approved! Even when enjoying some alone time!
How was your weekend?

Have a wonderful Tortie Tuesday!

Happy Labor Day!

We want to wish all our friends here in the U.S. a Happy Labor Day! We've had a busy weekend complete with new living room furniture. You know how we feel about change...
Thankfully our perch to watch the Birdie Network is still in place...
Although everybuddy knows us kitties are hard working, we hope that at least for today all our friends worldwide are able to enjoy a lazy, no labor day. That's how our day will be!

Hope you have a wonderfully lazy day!

Long Weekend Wrap Up

We had quite the weekend around here! We made sure Mommy had the purrfect long birthday weekend beginning on Thursday when Daddy took her to her most favorite place on the Oregon coast - Cape Lookout...
She loves how the super tall trees and rocky cliffs go right down to the wide sandy beach. So, good for Daddy for kicking the weekend off right! Her birthday on Friday was great too but it rained on Saturday so Isabella discussed what to do to keep the good things happening...
I decided to help Mommy make a beach glass bracelet for herself. I thought it'd be fun for her to start her squizillion and seventh year off with change so I told her to randomly choose beads to use for her bracelet. Well, sometimes change isn't so good. Our CPA too much left brain perfectionist Mommy nearly had a panic attack trying to be random! Each silver and beach glass bead is different in each row but she survived and I think it turned out okay...
The rain ended in time for Mommy to make another change on Saturday - she attended her first Oregon state fair plus she attended her first country music concert with Daddy and her friend Laura. She doesn't listen to country music so she and Daddy were the only two in the audience who didn't know the songs but Gary Allan did put on a good show...
Before the concert, the two ladies in front of them took elebenty hundred selfies so Mommy kept leaning to the left or right trying to stay out of their pics. Well, since this is the year of change, Mommy decided to be silly and starting waving in the pics. At first the ladies didn't notice but when they did, they found it funny so they took this pic with Mommy (in black) and Laura (the innocent bystander)...
Yesterday we finished up a necklace to go with the blingy No-No bracelet from last week but mostly we relaxed and savored the remaining weekend. We're not sure how much more change Mommy can handle this year but we'll see. At least she enjoyed her birthday and part of that is from your birthday wishes last week so thank you!

What did you do this weekend?

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Sadieday Lesson

It was three years ago this week when Sadie taught us a lesson but we didn't get it until now.  She got a spiffy new feeder but of course she was quite used to and comfortable with her old one...
Even when it was pointed that the new feeder was so much better, she wasn't sure she wanted to leave her old one...
But then she tried it and discovered it had all of the same foods but in a much better package...
So what was the lesson we finally learned?  That although it can be very hard to leave something we've grown very comfortable with, sometimes change is most definitely for the better.

We've just finished the first month of tax season and Mommy has not had one stressful day yet.  After she made the decision last year to leave an environment that made her miserable, every day has been a joy.  Oh sure there's the normal messy books and workpapers brought in by clients but what's different is no negativity or disrespect which was abundant before.  So, she left her comfort zone for something that has all the same tax stuff but in a much better package!   If there's something in your life that is bringing you down, make this the year for change.  We know it's hard but we also know it's well worth it!

One thing that can change the day for you and others around you is to smile!  A smile can do wonders so spread them around often!

Have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend!
