Home Again!

It was great to get away but it's always great coming home to the furbabies too! I tried to get a video of Sadie doing her Elvis impression when we came home but she was too excited and moving too fast so it'll have to wait until another time. Angel and Isabella were happy to see us too even though we didn't bring home anything with feathers for them!

I took my beading supplies to the beach and actually was pretty productive even with the ocean outside calling my name!
Here are some of the earrings I made while at the coast:
Lady - Ceramic Dog and Black Onyx Bead Sterling Silver Earrings

Midnight Copper - Dark Blue and Copper Moonstone Beaded Earrings

Puppy Dog Eyes - Yellow Eared Ceramic Dog and Black Onyx Bead Sterling Silver Earrings

Black Magic - Kitty Cat Glass Lampwork and Onyx Beaded Sterling Silver Earrings

Natural Puppy - Ceramic Dog and Wood Beaded Sterling Silver Earrings

Can you tell I had pets on my mind?

Yay! It's Finally Thursday!

We're watching for Mommy and Daddy to come home today from the coast! Grandpa took really good care of us and gave us plenty of treats and took Sadie on lots of walks but we still want Mommy and Daddy to come home.

Grandpa doesn't have kitties of his own so he doesn't realize that kitties rule the house. He couldn't understand why we are always around and why Angel gets in front of the computer monitor when he tried to check his email.
We hope Mommy brought us presents and Angel and I know what we want from the beach! Eeny, meeny, miny....

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

Missing Mommy and Daddy but they'll be home tomorrow. They sent pictures to us but I'd rather be with them at the beach...

Mommy took these pictures near Rockaway Beach, OR yesterday.

Taking care of business

Mommy and Daddy went to the coast for a few days - WITHOUT US! Can you believe that? But, Grandpa came from Kansas to take care of us so we'll still have a good time and get lots of treats. He finds our "cat rodeos" in the middle of the night amusing - or at least we think he does because we sure have a good time. Anyway, Mommy is hoping to have internet access but if not, we'll be here taking care of business. Daddy showed Isabella how to use his computer since Mommy is taking hers.
Hopefully she paid attention when he was showing her what to do. Dirty paws can be distracting.
One thing Mommy did want us to tell you about was that she had her very first blog interview posted last Friday by a talented Etsian Storybeader. If you want to learn a little more about our Mommy, be sure to visit Storybeader's blog ! If you want to learn more about Storybeader's Etsy shop, click here. Thank you Storybeader for doing such a wonderful interview!

Also, Mommy is now on Twitter and she'd love for you to follow her.

Now, it's time for a nap.

Sunday is Sofa Day!

Well, everyday is sofa day for me! I hope you have a nice relaxing Sunday!
Today is also Daddy's birthday! He's like a bazillion years old but we love him anyway!
Happy Birthday Daddy!

What do you love about pets?

Yeah, I know, what's not to love about pets? The list of things that I love about cats and dogs is pretty long and would look something like this:
  • I love to hear a cat purr.
  • I love the way all of our pets greet us when we come home - Sadie has a cute way of greeting us by tilting her head to the right and lifting up her lip on her left side in kind of an Elvis Presley way. The cats are always waiting by the door when we walk in from the garage with Isabella sprawled out across the hallway so we have to stop to pet her before walking by.
  • I love watching them sleep so peacefully and when they are dreaming I wonder what they are chasing or what Sadie is barking at.
  • I love when the cats snuggle with me or lay on my lap while I'm working.
These are just a few of the many, many things that I love about pets. What do you love about your pets?

December Featured EtsyBlogger - Spotted Cow Soaps!

The featured EtsyBlogger for the month of December is Spotted Cow Soaps! Ms. Moo, as we affectionately call her, says this about her soap and creations:

Nestled deep in the heart of Vermont amongst the mountain views and dairy farms you will find Spotted Cow Soaps. I have been formulating and selling homemade natural soaps for over 8 years. What started out as a necessity to cure skin issues of my own has grown into an obsession and love for handcrafting great smelling soaps that leave your skin saying..."THANK YOU!" Spotted Cow Soaps also creates hand crochet bath accessories, gifty items and more. All lovingly created in our rural Vermont home!

As I've mentioned in earlier posts, I am a handmade soap addict and I purchased from Spotted Cow Soaps last Friday and received my order on Monday. I can attest to the wonderful scent of her soap and also the sugar scrub. It really does leave your skin feeling wonderful.

Here's a preview of the great items in her Etsy shop (click on any item to be taken directly to her shop):

We've Been Tagged!

We were tagged by AlteredEvents, Heather at winemakerssister, and Goldtone Designs. It's taken quite awhile to figure out what about us to reveal since I did this not too long ago (see this post) so we're all going to say a few things:

Sadie
1) My nickname from Daddy is "Stinky". I don't know why. Mommy calls me "Cute Butt", especially when we go on walks and that's all she sees!
2) I tolerate the kitties in the house but won't let any other kitty set foot in our yard. The next door neighbor kitty has a bell on her collar - how stupid was that? I hear her coming from three yards away! Too easy. Isabella
1) My nickname is "Bella" but only Daddy calls me that.
2) It takes me all of five seconds to curl up and fall asleep wherever I lay but especially on Daddy or Mommy's lap. Angel
1) Daddy calls me "Squirt". Mommy calls me "Cutie", "Baby Kitten", "Sweet Sweet", you get the picture!
2) I'm afraid of loud trucks and the doorbell and run and hide when I hear them. Mommy
1) Whenever I hear someone's name for the first time, I spell it in my mind. I'm not sure why I do this but it happens every time.
2) I'm a NASCAR fan but I won't discuss my favorite driver because if he isn't your favorite, I don't want to hold it against you!

I hope you enjoyed learning a little more about us! Be sure to visit the blogs of those who tagged me!

Tortie Tuesday!

Isabella says today is Tortie Tuesday! In other words, all kitties are an honorary tortie today so get to display an extraordinary amount of Catitude!

In addition, I want to give a shout out to DancingMooney! She is a talented jewelry artisan as well as a wonderful soap maker on Etsy whom I had the pleasure of meeting last Friday at a local craft show. She is one of the first Etsyians that I met when we opened shop last December and she happens to live in a town not far from me. I have been keeping tabs on her through her blog and also checking out new additions to her shop. Since she mentioned she was going to be at the craft show not far from here, I had to take that opportunity to go meet her in person and I'm sure glad I did! She is such a sweetie and if you read her blog you just can't help but like her. Being the handmade soap addict that I am, I bought some of her soap - it's smells as fantastic as it looks in the picture!

If you haven't already met DancingMooney, be sure to visit her blog and her Etsy shop! You'll be glad you did!

The View From Inside

We spend a lot of time looking out the windows.
Mommy can't lower the blinds because we have to be able to see what is going on outside.
We have a kitty perch to help us look out one of the front windows.
Or we can nap in the kitty perch when it's sunny out.
Mommy also made us our own bench out of an end table covered with foam and fabric so we can see out. Sadie is the same height as the windows so she doesn't need a bench.
We may like to look out but we don't want to go out, well Sadie has to go out but she prefers to stay inside most of the time because we all have such a cushy life! Do you like looking out the windows too?

Playing on Caturday - and Everyday!

Every day Angel plays in the bathtub in the guest bathroom. If we have a bottle of water, we have to pour some water in the tub. When we refill Sadie's bowl, we have to pour water in the tub. It depends on the day but usually she attacks the water as it trails down the tub into the drain. I made my very first video ever of one of her play times in the tub and here it is! Remember - this is my FIRST ever video so not real exciting!

Thanks to Karen at Zemeks blog for giving the information on how to do this little films on the computer!
