Putting It To The Test!

Last month Mommy won a contest by commenting (a lot) on Roseworks Jewelry blog. She won a $20 gift certificate to use in Roseworks Jewelry Etsy shop and her prizes arrived the other day. They were in a pretty white pouch which I helped her open.
She got a memory wire bracelet and beadwoven earrings that she likes very much!
But before she wears them, they must be cat tested and approved! The earrings are different colors which I like very much.
Angel has her own way of testing the earrings but she says they smell pretty so they pass inspection Mommy!
The bracelet is light enough to pick up so it won't be too heavy on her wrist so she can reach for our treats.
It's also flexible so we can play with it on her arm and not break it. The bracelet passes inspection too Mommy!
Thank you Ruthie for offering fun contests and for making such great jewelry for us to test and for Mommy to wear! We all appreciate it very much!

Disclaimer: No pretty jewelry was harmed during the testing process!

Thankful Thursday!

Back in August, Mommy won a blog commenting contest on Roseworks Jewelry blog and one of the prizes was a surprise from another Etsyian, TiLT Creations. Well, the surprise came the other day and it's a cool market tote bag!
And she made her a cute little pouch out of fabric that Mommy commented about on TiLT's blog.
I think this bag will hold a lot of treats and bones Mommy!
Mommy is very thankful to both Ruthie from Roseworks for offering her contest and to Theresa from TiLT Creations for offering this great prize! Thank you both very much!
Usually the cats do the modeling sessions but I wanted to do it since I am thankful for something myself! A package arrived today from Erika at NicoDesigns and it had something for ME in it!
Can I have a treat or two now Mommy? Please?
Pretty please?
Mmmm!
Thank you very much Erika! The treats were very yummy and I loved every crumb!
Hope you have plenty to be thankful for today too!

Thankful Thursday!

Today we want to give thanks for some great items we received recently. First of all, we received a beautiful quilted wall hanging from Stacy Hurt.
Oh, I guess you need to see what it looks like without me on it! It says "tiger tiger burning bright in the forests of the night...". Isn't it pretty? Stacy is very talented! Mommy really likes it!
I really like it too.
My little sisfur Angel does too.
Thank you so much Stacy!

Mommy also won a gift certificate from Ruthie at Rose Works Jewelry and she had Ruthie make this beadwoven collar for her wrist.
It's pretty but it doesn't taste too good Mommy!
Thank you Ruthie! Mommy likes her new wrist collar very much!

Happy Sadieday!

Since Mommy works from home and has 4 day weekends in the summer, I lose track of time and am never sure what day it is. Every day seems to be a lazy summer day.
But Mommy said today is Sadieday!
Well, that means it's a day for a smile...
and a WOOOOOO!
Mommy didn't get my WOO on video but trust me, it was a long and loud WOO!
I hope WOO have a Happy Sadieday! Now Mommy has to take care of some business.

I'm a little tardy in announcing some awards we received recently. Julie Magers Soulen gave us the Lovely Blog Award!
I came across Julie's Etsy shop while searching for Friday Feature finds and at first noticed her gorgeous photography but then noticed that she lives near our old hometown of Loveland, CO. I've since started following her wonderful blog and would certainly recommend you checking it out! Thank you so much for the award Julie!
***********************************************
Ruthie from Rose Works Jewelry gave me the Premio Meme Award!
Ruthie is a very talented beadwork artist who I admire so much. She battles health issues but doesn't let that dampen her wonderful spirit nor hold her back from creating lovely jewelry and maintaining 2 Etsy shops and 3, yes 3!, blogs! Thank you Ruthie

Anyway, the rules of this award is that I am to give 7 facts about myself and pass it to 7 people. I'll try to come up with 7 facts so here goes:

1) I rarely feel bored unless it's something work related :)
2) I've never had an orange cat but hope to one day
3) I've had an article published in a finance magazine when I was in Graduate school
4) I love flowers but am not very good at gardening
5) Eels give me the eebie jeebies especially after encountering one while snorkeling in Maui
6) I would be very content to spend all day on a beach
7) I love weekends!

Okay, now I will pass it on to the following 7 people in no particular order:
1) Lily at Tulips Talking
2) Patti at Peacox Creations
3) Becky at Miesmama
4) Erika at NICO Designs
5) Michele at moxylyn
6) Nancy at Nanjodogz
7) Tim at Everyday Living

Awards and Acknowledgment

We hope you are having a wonderful Caturday! Today we are going to introduce to you to a fellow blogger that has a huge, caring heart where animals are concerned. What she does for animals will make your heart happy! If you haven't met her already, you'll be glad you did! But, first of all, we need to acknowledge some awards we received from other wonderful bloggers.

First, from the gang at The Creek Cats we received the Awe-Summm award! Thank you very much!
The rules of this award are that we are to list 7 awe-summm things about us. It'll be hard to list ONLY 7 but here goes:

1) Sadie - I just love to smile and get lots of comments from people we meet about my smile!
2) Isabella - I am a great catcher - Daddy can throw me a wild pitch with one of my toys and I'll catch it every time!
3) Angel - I can tell time and wake Mommy up every morning at 4:06am. She wonders how I can do this every day but I'll never tell!
4) Sadie - I play with my little sisfurs without hurting them although Mommy worries that I will smoosh them so won't let me do my jumping play bows around them. Party pooper.
5) Isabella - I am extremely mellow. I don't get excited over anything and just take everything in stride.
6) Angel - I have really long, pretty whiskers!
7) All of us - we have wonderful sisfurs and we usually always get along!
************************************************
From Margaret at Splendid Little Stars and from Ruthie at Rose Works Jewelry we received this adorable Super-Comments award! Thank you both so much!
This award has NO rules so we can do whatever we want! We are going to take this time to thank everyone who takes the time to read our blog and comment on it. We certainly appreciate it and love how it makes Mommy chuckle and smile when she reads the funny things you write! Thank you all so much and feel free to take this award as a token of our appreciation!
*********************************************
With that being said, we'd like to introduce you to a wonderful blogger just in case you haven't come across her blog just yet...
AM from It's A Wonderful Life does so much for animals that she deserves to be acknowledged. In addition to her own cats (including torties no less!) and dogs, she and her family are foster parents to dogs in need. Recently she took in puppies that were being neglected at a shelter (yes, a shelter) in her area and the story of these puppies is very difficult to read but AM was the absolute light at the end of the tunnel and is showing these puppies what it means to be loved and cared for properly. It is a sad story but also incredibly uplifting and will make you smile in the end! Please check out her blog and you'll see why I wanted to recognize her today.

EtsyBlogger of the Month - Rose Works Jewelry!

The Etsyblogger of the month is Ruthie from Rose Works Jewelry! Ruthie is a talented jewelry designer who creates jewelry using beads, hemp, and she can even make handwoven treasures. She is a wonderful person too and someone that I am hoping to meet sometime since she lives just a couple of hours away from me!

In addition to her jewelry, Ruthie keeps herself busy by managing three blogs: Rose Works Jewelry, Rose Works Treasury and A Jedi's Musings. I don't know how she does it all!

Here is a sample of the lovely items in her Etsy shop. Be sure to check out her blogs as well as her shop and you won't be disappointed!
