The Final Friday of 2017

This year is about to come to a close but we're ending it on a good note with doublewide scratchers...
Yeah, okay, so it's only until the recycle bin is emptied so the old one will fit in it but that won't be until next year! Hee hee. We're also ending the year in good health. Isabella gave Mommy a scare a week ago and was rushed off to the emergency vet. They couldn't find anything wrong with her but she came back home smelling like the vet's office! I hissed at her for two days but all is better now...
Our regular vet was already scheduled to come to our house this past Wednesday and she said we both are soft, beautiful and looked healthy. Paws crossed our blood work comes back with the same conclusion. Anyway, we'll be spending the last days of 2017 helping Mommy clean out closets for last minute charitable donations. We'll also be sure to rest up for the start of tax season. How much longer until spring?

How will you be spending the final weekend of 2017?
We appreciate you spending time with us today and always!

Happy New Year to all of you for all of us!

Holiday Wrap Up

Whew! What a happy holiday! We waiting patiently (and comfortably) for Santa on Christmas Eve...
Daddy, uh, we mean Santa didn't disappoint when we got heart toys from a Chinese food container...
Filled with really good nip...
We also got a brand new scratcher!
It provides the perfect resistance to make the popcorn popping sound!
Our Grandma from Vegas sent toys too...
This one squeaks like a real mouse so it was fun to deaded it...
For Christmas Day we napped played with our toys while Daddy took Mommy to her happy place...
Despite them coming home without the birdie, we had a wonderful Christmas! We hope you did too!

We hope you had a happy holiday!

Demonstration

I've put a request in with Santa Claws for a new scratcher for Christmas. We both use it daily and I'll show you how. It's against the cedar chest at the foot of the bed to help Isabella get up and down on the bed since someTorties can't jump. She goes up and down like this...
Then since it's a scratcher she often stops to scratch like this...
She's a way more polite scratcher than I am. I'm such a wild scratcher I almost pop a wheelie on this thing!
Anyway, I hope Santa brings us a new scratcher. A new one will help me do the popcorn popping sound that Mommy loves in the middle of the night. She loves it so much she wakes up every time to hear it!

What's on your Christmas list?

Have a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a few sunpuddles this weekend. Our winter has been colder and more rainy than usual so we're looking forward to a spring filled with warmer temps, more sunpuddles and relaxification...
SomeTortie is not looking forward to is when the flannel sheets are put away until next winter...
One thing is for sure though, there may not be cats on the sheets but there'll be a cat in the sheets.

Is spring springing in your neck of the woods?

Happy last week of tax season!

A Little of This, None of That

After three super hot days, it's finally cooled down which means open windows...
We're hanging on to summer as much as we can even though the calendar shows September is coming in 10 days. There's so much to do before the rainy season, holiday season and tax season gets here. Time just seem to get away from us! So what is the best way to slow down time? Just relax and savor every moment...
That's what we'll be doing in the next few weeks. We'll post when we have something to say but mostly we'll be savoring the remaining days of summer.

Hope you have a day to savor too!

Working Weekend! #ChewyInfluencer

What did we do on a rainy, dreary weekend? We worked of course! Last month Chewy.com sent us the Kong Naturals Incline Cat Scratcher to review. Somemommy put it in a closet until she had time for photos (strike one) and then she forgot about it (strike two) but thankfully she came across it so we could give it the once over...
Since I'm the Purrfessional Scratcher in the household, I was so excited to put the it to the test that I didn't even wait for Mommy to take the cardboard thingy off of it...
But once she did, I immediately gave it a workout...
I tried it from all angles too...
Hey, what's the hole in it for?
There's a hole back here too...
Ah! There's a crinky ball thingamabob hanging inside...
After I pulled the thingamabob outside, I tried out the incline more...
My review of the Kong Naturals Incline Cat Scratcher is four paws up!
I love this scratcher and already use it all the time! It's made from eco-friendly materials using renewable resources and it comes in three sizes. The cardboard is very sturdy and has held up to my fierce claws very well. I lay on my scratchers and this one took me awhile to figure out how to lay on but I finally did...
If you're wondering how Isabella liked it. Well...
She's scratcher challenged even if it's flat on the ground. *sigh*

If you love scratchers or other toys as well as foods or treats, be sure to check out Chewy.com! They have free 1-2 day delivery for orders over $49. We're set up for auto-delivery so we never starve!
Do you love scratchers as much as I do?

Hope you have a great day!
Angel

Disclaimer: Chewy.com sent us the Kong Naturals Incline Cat Scratcher for free in exchange for an honest review. We received no other compensation. This did not influence our review in any way. I take my Purrfessional Scratcher status very seriously and would never lead anykitty astray when it comes to scratchers!

Our Own Haunted House!

After seeing kitties all over the blogosphere enjoying their haunted houses we finally got one of our own! Well, it's supposed to be a house but right now it's just the scratcher floor. Maybe the rest of it is still inside the box...
Yay! We got walls!
I'm pretty sure it's supposed to have a roof though...
Oh, here it is Mommy! It's still in the box...
Seriously. What would she do without me? Anyway, our house is finally complete and the inspection is in progress...
We'll see how that goes tomorrow so stay tuned!

What did you do this weekend?

Hope you have a spooky day!

Putting the Scratcher to the Test

Today may be the Columbus Day holiday here in the U.S. but I'm working on a review that is very late. Awhile ago Sydney and the nice folks at Chewy.com sent us a pretty red Catit Bench Scratcher to test out. I'm not going to waste any more time so let's get right to the test...
I'm able to make lots of popcorn popping sounds on it plus pop a few wheelies on it too! After all that, it provides the perfect perch to just sit here and look cute...
I really put the Catit Bench Scratcher to the test and it passed with flying colors! It is certainly durable and held up to all my scratching on it even if I wore myself out!
It's 19" long which makes it the right length to nap on in between scratches. I also like the bright red color! Even though Isabella hasn't quite figured out how to scratch on a scratcher, she does like to lay on them...
Anyway, I give the Catit Bench Scratcher four paws up! Thank you so much Sydney and Chewy.com for giving the us opportunity to try it out! If you'd like to get one, hurry on over and purchase since it's even on sale now!
If you haven't purchased from Chewy.com yet, we highly recommend that you give them a try! They have great customer service, quick shipping and the best boxes ever! Plus they offer free delivery on orders over $49 and they have auto-ship too so you never run out of foods or litter!

Do you enjoy using scratchers?

Hope you have a great day!
Angel

Tortie Tuesday

Soon after the Ess was tossed out yesterday, we got a delivery...
Oooo, this is nice!  It's all scratcher stuff but it even has curves for my little sisfur...
The top is less curvy which is more comfy for me too...
This is pretty darn cool! I can even watch the birdies from it too!
Thank Cod it's Tortie Tuesday so I can enjoy this all to myself today...
Ugh!  Somekitty didn't get the memo again!

Hope you enjoy time to yourself today!

Out With the Old?

One of the things that happens this time of year is Mommy gets into clean out mode in order to donate stuff for tax reasons.  Imagine that.  Anyway, she was still in clean out mode this past weekend and said it's time to toss out our Ess...
We have it all broke in so why does it need to be tossed?  Maybe the scratcher part is kinda hairy but the Ess part works just fine...
Sure we have new scratchers but look, they are flat, non-Ess shaped that don't curl around my floofyness...
Somekitty is so dramatic isn't she...
Dramatic?  Whaddya mean dramatic Bella?  Look at the curves in this Ess!  I love these curves!
Uh, I don't get it...
Maybe because I prefer something more cushy for my curves.

Do you have an Ess?  Whatcha think of it?

Enjoy your day!
Angel and Isabella

PeeS:  We've kept the old Ess for way past it's expiration date because Angel loves it.  We cannot find another Ess with the scratcher wrapped around the top curve like the old one.  Most have the scratcher in front and then carpet on the very top of the curve.  She doesn't like those.  If you know where to get an Ess with scratcher over the curve, let us know!
