Kitty Creations

Yesterday I told you how Mommy didn't appreciate my help finishing up her custom order. Well, I persisted and helped her complete the project anyway! I thought I'd show you the bracelets that I had a part in making...
Since my legs are too small, my big sisfur Sadie modeled them...
With these bracelets, Mommy was just told to make them however she wanted in any color but ruby. Well, as most of you know, Mommy is a CPA (Cat's Purrsonal Assistant moonlighting as a Certified Public Accountant) and if you know any accountants, creativity doesn't come easy for them so the thought of making something without any direction made Mommy panic which is why she needed my help. As always, it worked out in the end and we are both happy with how they turned out...
And I'm thinking I need to help her make some for me to play with...
Behind every good human is a helpful, creative, smart kitty and possibly one large dog model too!

Hope you have a great Monday!

Unappreciated...

Even though Sundays are meant for resting and relaxing, I decided I'd help Mommy finish a custom order for three bracelets. For some reason though she didn't seem too excited to have me help...
I can't figure why?

What are you doing today?

Have an enjoyable Sunday!

Stroll with Sadie!

Yay it's Sadieday! Time for another stroll with me! Last week my furiend Duke decided to go on his own adventure after hearing about mine so I want to make sure to remind you that no dog should go on a stroll without their beans! They tend to worry about us too much so it's best to take either your mom or dad along on your strolls.

Okay, with that being said, it's time for a stroll with me and my mommy today. Are you ready? Let's go!
Once we pass that big log and start walking on the old forest road, I go ahead and let my mommy off her leash. I realize that some of you (Khyra) can never let your mom off her leash either so only do this if you absolutely trust your mom and never do it anywhere where danger lurks.
It's such a beautiful day today. I can't think of anything that would make me happier this Sadieday...
Well, maybe one thing...
Mud squishing through my toes!
Now my Sadieday is perfect!
I hope you enjoyed coming along on my stroll today!

May you have mud squish through your toes or whatever else makes you happy today!

Happy Sadieday!
Sadie

Enjoyment Foiled

One of my favorite things about fall is sitting in an open window, smelling the cool, fresh air and watching the leaves flutter to the ground...
My sisfur Isabella always has to be nosy and hang around while I'm enjoying my window time...
Might as well add one more sisfur to the mix...
Psst, Sadie, here's a plan... ::whisper::
Sadie, that wasn't the plan! You were supposed to help get her down not turn around!
Sisfurs sure try to ruin purrfectly good window time.

Hope your day is purrfect!

Tortie Tuesday

Today I was reminiscing about how four years ago at this time I was at the humane society waiting for my furever home. Many people came and saw me but I continued to wait for my real Mommy and Daddy to show up, which they eventually did on November 3rd, 2006. They couldn't resist this face...
After that day I have found out that I might have been passed by because I'm mostly black and black kitties are the least likely to be adopted for some reason. I'm glad my mommy and daddy didn't think that way and for everyone else who doesn't think that way either, many shelters are offering reduced adoption fees for black kitties at this time of year. Some even have reduced fees on black and/or orange kitties like me! Here's a couple:
Our adoption special will continue through the end of October. Adopt any black and/or orange cat for 50% off! In addition, if you are wearing Oregon State University colors you will receive $10 off the adoption fee of a cat not already on special or $10 off the adoption fee of any dog.
In recognition of the San Francisco Giants magical season and play-off appearance, we’re initiating a special “black and orange” adoption promotion. Through October 31, folks can adopt any black or orange cat for $9. Cats and baseball? It's a perfect match. Cats have 9 lives. Baseball has 9 innings and 9 players.

If you or someone you know is looking for a kitty, check out these specials or see if there are any in shelters in your area. Of course the shelters are careful about adoptions of black kitties near Halloween but now might be the time to find your new kitty!

Have you been lucky enough to have a black kitty?

Happy Tortie Tuesday!

Is it Monday already?
I'm not quite finished getting ready for it.
Are we ever really ready for Monday?

Hope you have a good, clean day!

Dogs Rule?

I found out from my furiend Khyra that yesterday was Dogs Rule Day. Well, I didn't know that which could be because 1) it was Sadieday so I already rule that day and 2) I thought that every day is Dogs Rule Day!
I tried to tell my kitty sisfurs that every day is Dogs Rule Day but they think that cats rule - can you believe that? They said they have proof too...
They said no way, no how would a cat ever be in a contraption like that. Ever.
I hate to admit it but they might be right. Darn those cute little foo-foo dogs anyway! Well, at least I still have Sadiedays!

Hope you have a good day after Sadieday!

Happy Sadieday!

Yay it's Sadieday! Today I thought I'd show you the adventure I went on all by myself after Daddy left the backyard gate open recently. I'm going to keep Mommy on her leash so she doesn't run off but anyway, let's start off where I did, in the cul-de-sac at the end of our driveway...
Then I proceeded to head down the cul-de-sac just like we do on every other stroll...
When I got to the road, I went left and got on the sidewalk because I won't walk in the busy street...
I made it to the next block when I heard Daddy calling me from back at our street...
I turned around and came back to him and then ran up our cul-de-sac to where Mommy was...
Right here is where she hugged me and kissed me because she was so happy that I can stroll by myself I guess...
So that's what I did when I got out of our backyard. I must say, it was fun exploring by myself but I promised Mommy I won't ever go by myself again.
Hope you enjoyed this recreation of my adventure! If you go out strolling today, make sure you go with a buddy or at least let someone know you're going so no one worries about you!

Have a Happy Sadieday!
Sadie

Games Sisfurs Play

My little sisfurs are usually looking out the windows but on the rare occasions they aren't, I like to make them think something is going on in the cul-de-sac...
Well now that's an interesting sight!
Made ya' look!
Ha roo roo!
It's fun teasing my sisfurs!

What kind of games do you play at your house?

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday! Today I was sitting here looking out the window, observing and thinking...
I noticed that often we see something that we wish we had or could do. But what we don't see is that it's often way more comfortable where we are than where someone else is sitting...
Today's lesson is to be appreciative of what you have because the seat elsewhere isn't always softer than the one you're already sitting on!

Happy Tortie Tuesday!
