Tortie Tuesday!
It's Tortie Tuesday! Today's lesson is to use all your resources to your advantage. We're not supposed to get on the counter but we're cats, we don't follow the rules. When I am on the counter, I use my tortieness to blend in so I'm not seen so easily. (I stuck my tail in the air so you could see where I am!)

If that doesn't work, I use my sisfur's floofiness to hide me even more!

Hope you have a wonderful Tortie Tuesday!

Super Scratcher or Dream Catcher?
I love making my claws nice and sharp on my Super Scratcher. Today I will demonstrate how I use it for those of you who don't know the proper technique - like my sisfur Isabella who doesn't know what to do with it. Let me close my eyes and think about the best way to show you my technique.

This requires really deep thought.

This might take awhile so I think I'll postpone this demonstration.

Hope you have a good Monday!

Summertime!
Summer was a little slow in getting here this year but it finally made it! It's not too hot and still often cloudy but it feels like summer which means relaxing in the sun

Beautiful roses

Sunny beaches

Cool morning breezes

And gorgeous blue skies and scenery such as Mt Hood

Summer is a wonderful time of year in the Pacific Northwest. We hope it's just as wonderful in your neighborhood!

And I'll do my furry best to make sure I don't get my paws dirty so I can go back inside and nap later without having to get a bath!

Tortie Teapot
Why is it that when my tail is like this...

Mommy is reminded of ♫ I'm a Tortie Teapot short and stout ♫?

Who's she calling stout by the way?

Tortie Tuesday!
Happy Tortie Tuesday! I must admit, I wasn't in the mood to model today when Mommy came in with that flashy box. I looked behind me for a way to escape but there was no where to go that way.

I could have jumped down but I was feeling too lazy to do that.

Oh well, give her what she wants and maybe she'll put that thing away and let me sleep!

It's tough being a Tortie on Tuesday!
How do you deal with the flashy box?

My Walking Buddy
When I go on walks in the sunshine, my walking buddy Shadie comes with me. Sometimes Shadie is on my left.

Her skinny legs are always attached to my feets.

Sometimes Shadie is on my right.

Whichever side she's on, I'm always glad to see her because it means the sun is shining!

I hope you enjoyed coming on a walk today with Sadie and Shadie!
Hopefully the sun is shining on you today!

Summer Scenes
Today we are going to share some summer scenes around our area. You'll notice a theme in that they all include birdies! So, sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery and we'll enjoy the birdies!
Mommy and Daddy went to the coast recently and saw this seagull at the jetty in Florence, OR with the Sand Dunes in the background.
At a local grocery store, there are lots of ducks hanging around a small pond at the edge of the parking lot. These two got pretty close to the store though.
There's a big pond on the campus of where our daddy works that has lots of ducks. Mommy made Daddy feed them some of the bread they got at the farmer's market when they came up to them. They know a sucker when they see one (or two)!
It's a mama duck, Daisy, and her baby, Donald!
Even we'll admit that Donald Duck is pretty cute!
As for these birds, well, they're just along for the ride! Get it! Oh I just quack myself up!
Hope you enjoyed these summer scenes all featuring our favorite birdies! Hopefully you get to see birdies in your neighborhood today too!Angel

Awards and Acknowledgment
We hope you are having a wonderful Caturday! Today we are going to introduce to you to a fellow blogger that has a huge, caring heart where animals are concerned. What she does for animals will make your heart happy! If you haven't met her already, you'll be glad you did! But, first of all, we need to acknowledge some awards we received from other wonderful bloggers.
The rules of this award are that we are to list 7 awe-summm things about us. It'll be hard to list ONLY 7 but here goes:
1) Sadie - I just love to smile and get lots of comments from people we meet about my smile!
2) Isabella - I am a great catcher - Daddy can throw me a wild pitch with one of my toys and I'll catch it every time!
3) Angel - I can tell time and wake Mommy up every morning at 4:06am. She wonders how I can do this every day but I'll never tell!
4) Sadie - I play with my little sisfurs without hurting them although Mommy worries that I will smoosh them so won't let me do my jumping play bows around them. Party pooper.
5) Isabella - I am extremely mellow. I don't get excited over anything and just take everything in stride.
6) Angel - I have really long, pretty whiskers!
7) All of us - we have wonderful sisfurs and we usually always get along!
************************************************
From Margaret at Splendid Little Stars and from Ruthie at Rose Works Jewelry we received this adorable Super-Comments award! Thank you both so much!

This award has NO rules so we can do whatever we want! We are going to take this time to thank everyone who takes the time to read our blog and comment on it. We certainly appreciate it and love how it makes Mommy chuckle and smile when she reads the funny things you write! Thank you all so much and feel free to take this award as a token of our appreciation!
*********************************************
With that being said, we'd like to introduce you to a wonderful blogger just in case you haven't come across her blog just yet...

AM from It's A Wonderful Life does so much for animals that she deserves to be acknowledged. In addition to her own cats (including torties no less!) and dogs, she and her family are foster parents to dogs in need. Recently she took in puppies that were being neglected at a shelter (yes, a shelter) in her area and the story of these puppies is very difficult to read but AM was the absolute light at the end of the tunnel and is showing these puppies what it means to be loved and cared for properly. It is a sad story but also incredibly uplifting and will make you smile in the end! Please check out her blog and you'll see why I wanted to recognize her today.

Welcoming Committee
I enjoy taking you on strolls with me but I've never showed you what I come home to after those strolls. Well, I thought I would show you the welcoming committee that waits for me and Mommy. First, let's pretend I'm going on a stroll today so this is the view you'd get! Cute huh?

Well, this is the view when we return home. Can you see my little sisfur Angel in the window? She's not as cute as my hiney.

If you couldn't see Angel before, you certainly can now because she has to get in the window and steal Mommy's attention away from me.

She then runs to the door and greets us as we walk in. Can you tell she's more excited to see Mommy than me?

If you are wondering where Isabella is, she always waits behind the door but she's there every time too.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I have to come home to.
Do you have a welcoming committee at your house?
