Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday, my favorite day of the week!  You'd think by now that everybuddy would have the memo that it's my day to lounge around and enjoy a peaceful day watching birdies in the sunlight but noooo.  The stranger in our house is still making noise upstairs and there's more strangers making noise at the next door neighbor's house...

And even more strangers at the other next door neighbor's house mowing the grass noisily...

Because of them there's no reception for the birdie channel.  Not like it matters anyway since it's only picking up white floof...

I really need to check the distribution of that memo so I can have peace and quiet on Tortie Tuesday!

Happy Earth Day!

It's Earth Day so we're hanging out discussing the things we love about Earth including sunshine, fresh air and of course trees and bushes for birdies to hang out on...

We also love gravity which has an extra strong pull on us kitties since we're so close to the ground.  But that's okay, I don't fight it...

It's important we all do our part in keeping our planet beautiful.  We try our best to reduce, reuse and recycle things especially boxes...

Happy Sadieday!

After working so many hours for so long, Mommy is lazy takes awhile to recoup after tax season.  She looks forward to not having anything she has to do (besides cater to us) and catching up on the piles of magazines and paperwork that's stacked up since January.  She likes to read while lounging in bed and our sisfur Sadie always knew this routine and made sure nobuddy bothered her...

She kept an eye on her to make sure she was okay too...

Sadie tried to teach me how to be vigilant to make sure Mommy could rest.  I learned how to hold her down but have trouble with being vigilant...

It's the staying awake part that always throws me off...

Anyway, practice makes purrfect so I'll keep on practicing and one of these days I'm sure I'll make Sadie proud!  I'll certainly get plenty of sleep trying!

Whatever routine you are doing this Sadieday, we hope you do your best!  As always, keep a smile on your face and spread those smiles around!  Smiles are certainly needed after the events of this past week.

Well, Whaddya Know...

I've always been extremely mellow unlike my little sisfur who gets scairt from doorbells, car doors, delivery trucks, etc. while I sleep through it all.  But I don't like the noise that is coming from the stranger working on the human litterbox.  Of course it doesn't stop me from sleeping most of the day but when I'm up, I keep my distance from where he's at...

What's odd is my scaredy cat sisfur goes in there and acts like she's not scairt at all...

She even shows the stranger her floofy belly...

She doesn't look scairt at all does she?

I don't get it.  Oh well, I hope he'll be gone soon.  He's making progress but there's still a long ways to go...

I guess I'll get in more naps for the next week or so while he's here!  I'm pretty good at napping!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday and first of all we want to say that we're sending our thoughts and purrs to all those affected by the tragedy in Boston yesterday...

Since yesterday was also the end of tax season I thought of a way to get Mommy's mind off of everything by offering to help make beady goodies...

I even picked out and taste tested some of the beads for her to use...

She hadn't made anything in so long that by the time she got done and wanted me to model them, I was already napping but she used my head anyway...

Anyway, today she's off all day so we'll probably nap a lot or at least I will.

Yay it's Tax Day!

April 15th is finally here!  We can actually smell the sweet scent of tax season being done...

It's time for our mommy to once again be our CPA - Cats Purrsonal Assistant!

It's so nice to put the bitey on tax stuff for another year...

We're Gonna Have to Take a Break

Between being woke up at o'dark early, Mommy's work schedule and strangers in the house making noise, the only one sleeping around here is Isabella!  Just sitting on Mommy's lap to help with this post, I can barely keep my eyes open...

So, I decided it's probably best we take a break until Monday.  I plan on taking lessons from Isabella on how to sleep through anything.  That is if she can stay awake long enough to teach me! 

Anyway, we hope everybuddy has a great rest of the week and weekend!  

Tortie Tuesday

Although I can sleep any time, any where, I've heard that some humans tend to fall asleep with the TV on...

I don't find a difference between sleeping with the TV on or just sleeping on the remote...

Insomnia is definitely not a problem I'll ever understand!  My mommy can't shut her mind off at night so doesn't sleep much, she needs to be more Tortie like and clear her mind in 2.3 seconds and sleep soundly for hours like I do!  All the extra sleep makes me extra beautiful too!

Working Weekend

I was looking forward to a relaxing weekend since my weekday napping has been disrupted due to being locked in Mommy's office while strangers are here.  Instead Mommy put me to work helping her pick out a new paint color for the guest bedroom...

After I gave her my suggestions she bought paint samples and put them all over the room.  After priming and painting the new human litterbox she remembered how much she doesn't like painting and changed her mind about painting the guest bedroom.  

Uh, Mommy, I don't think the patchwork look is gonna work here...

Maybe no one will notice anything but my cuteness...

Strolling over the Bridge on Sadieday

Although we're sad to say that our Uncle Samy from Las Vegas had to go to the Bridge this week, we know that our sisfur Sadie was waiting for him so her shadow has been replaced with him strolling beside her today...

Uncle Samy would have been 13 in two weeks and he had diabetes for many years but had remained healthy until recently because of the love and care he got from our Grandma.  Even she said he was spoiled and proud of it!  He was also pretty darn cute...

Our thoughts and purrayers are with our Grandma from Las Vegas.  We know Samy is now enjoying strolls with Sadie and neither one of them would want us to be sad so spread some extra smiles this weekend in honor of Samy!

Finally Friday

Boy are we ever happy it's Friday!  We may have been in Mommy's office with her all tax season but that was way different than being locked in!  We get out the second the front door shuts after the last stranger leaves and we do an inspection...

Not only are the strangers noisy but they're very messy!

The walls should be done today which means Mommy has to paint this weekend but at least she'll be the only one locked in the room!  Hey, that means we'll be locked out!  We don't like that either!  No doors should be shut!

Day 4 of Too Many

Day 4 of the human litterbox remodel and Mommy has had it up to 'here', whatever that means.  We're locked in her office against our will yet she doesn't appreciate me trying to open the door by yanking on the bottom of it over and over again or by scratching on it or by simply staring at it and meowing for it to open...

Somekitty has to find out what the heck is going on out there because some other kitty has been doing a whole lotta this...

Because of my loops around Mommy's desk, chair, shoulders and then back to the door to try to open it, I don't eat or sleep all day long.  Isabella doesn't miss a meal so she gets up, eats ALL the stinky goodness and then it's right back to this...

You'd think my desire to make sure all is well out there would be appreciated but nope.  It's not. I have a feeling that when tax season is over and she no longer has to stay in the office 10+ hours a day she'll be the one yanking and scratching on the door to get out!  Just sayin.

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday!  Have you heard the saying 'turn lemons into lemonade' or 'turn mousies into mouse pie'?    They mean to take something not so good and make them into something really good.  I'm putting these sayings to the test these week.  There are strangers in our house for the next 3-4 weeks doing some remodeling so that means we're stuck inside Mommy's office.  So, I might as well figure out a way to turn it into something good.  At least I can stretch a little...

And sit my Tortie patooty on crinkly paper...

Hmmm, I'm already running out of ideas...

I think it's going to be a really long 3-4 weeks...

Maybe we should get started on that mouse pie!

It's Finally April!

We're so happy it's April!  Not only are there more sunpuddles, it's only two weeks until Mommy becomes the real CPA (Cats Purrsonal Assistant) rather than the other CPA who does taxes. 

Hey Mommy, I know the kittens are cute but let's get this calendar changed to April!

I sure hope the next two weeks go fast.  It's been a very long tax season and I'm ready to watch birdies rather than watching paper...

Thanks to everybuddy who commented on our 1700th post last week!  We're going to round up the donation to $50 and will get it sent to a deserving charity.  Mommy wasn't feeling so great last night so couldn't help us make a decision on where to send it but we'll make sure it gets sent soon.
