Measure Once, Eat Twice

One of my jobs around here is to make sure that my big sisfur Sadie's food and water thingy is in the right spot. In order to measure accurately, I'll turn on my lights..

It's the correct distance from the wall on the left...

So that means it's the correct distance from the right too...

It's in the right spot away from the back wall...

And it's still nose height for me...

which means it's the purrfect height for Sadie. Looks like my work is done here.

Cats always make things so complicated.

SUNday Happiness!

My sisfur Isabella and I were recently awarded the Happy Cat award from our furiend Sammy from Germany!

Sammy's mom Duni makes very lovely bags which our mommy always likes to see but our favorite posts are the ones with handsome Sammy! Isn't he just the cutest?

Anyway, along with this award we're supposed to list 5 things that make us happy so here goes...

1) SUN! We love laying in the sun and after weeks of gray days, we finally have a true SUNday today!

2) Treats. Nuf said.

3) Open windows so we can smell the fresh air and watch birdies!

4) All our blog furiends from all over the world!

5) Toys! Especially Casbah Kitten toys!

We're supposed to pass this on to 5 of our furiends but we aren't sure who has or hasn't received it. To avoid duplicating the award, plus we think all our furiends are Happy Cats, we'll just pass it to everyone who hasn't received it yet. We'll even let our dog furiends be honorary cats if they want this award!

Stroll with Sadie!

Time once again for my favorite day of the week - Sadieday! It's also time for another stroll so come on, let's go!

As you can tell, I let Mommy off leash today. Now I realize not every dog can let their humans run free so exercise caution if you let your human off leash and make sure they follow your lead.

I do stop every so often to make sure she didn't chase a deer or something. You coming Mommy?

So far she hasn't run off or anything but I think we're coming up on her first big test...

You still back there Mommy? I'm afraid to look...

Woo! She passed the test! She's such a Good Girl! She can stay off leash and let's continue enjoying our stroll!

Stakeout

It's no secret that my little sisfur Angel and I love boxes. When we get a new box in the house, we have to sit on it to stake our claim and make sure no box snatcher comes to take a purrfectly good box to the recycle bin. This happens so often that we are have our stake out routine down pat. First we look for box snatchers to the right...

Then to the left...

Then straight ahead.

Uh, Isabella, just exactly why are we doing this when no one can snatch the box with us sitting on it anyway?

Sometimes little sisfurs should be seen and not heard.

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday! Today is the last day of my Daddy's finals at school so I've been busy helping him study.

I'm helping him write his final computer programs too but this mouse just doesn't work like it should.

It's impawtant I proofread the work before it's turned in so that Daddy can keep up his straight A's.

School work is exhausting!

I like to play hide and seek with my sisfur Isabella. Trouble is, she's sometimes purrty slow in finding me so I have to hide a really long time.

Maybe if I turn my lights on she'll find me faster!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

Last month we won a FURminator from Wally, Ernie and Zoe - the Island Cats - for Romeo's National Hairball Awareness Day. Our FURminator arrived last week and Mommy couldn't wait to try it out on my long hair and on my sisfur Isabella's thick tortie hair. I wasn't so sure about it though.

Isabella and I don't really like to be combed - actually we both despise it but tolerate it - a little. We did let Mommy use the FURminator on us - a little - and she was very happy with the amount of hair that it did get out in the few minutes seconds that we let her comb us. Our big sisfur Sadie, who hates to be combed worse than us, came over and snickered at us being FURminated.

Then we told her that although the box says it's the Cat version, she was going to be FURminated next...

Not so funny now is it Sadie?

Even though the FURminator is the smaller kitty version, it got quite a bit of hair out of Sadie in the little time she let Mommy use it on her. We're all for more results with less combing so in that case we all really like the FURminator!

Stroll with Sadie!

It's Sadieday! We love Sadiedays around here and I love going on strolls! Today we're going on a very rare early morning stroll because one of my supposedly good kitty sisfurs woke Mommy up and she couldn't go back to sleep. Since we're up, let's see what the neighborhood looks like at 6am!

Wonder if there are any critters hiding in these weeds?

It looks like all the critters are still sleeping like everyone else seems to be.

Wait, what's that? I think the birdies are waking up. Is that what you meant Mommy when you said these early morning strolls are for the birds?

And look there! Why'd the rabbit cross the road?

Because the chicken was still in bed! Ha roo roo!

We're Officially Good!

Inigo, our handsome furiend from New Zealand, has made us official members of his Good Kitty Club! Isabella and I really are good kitties (except in Mommy's dreams where she thinks I wake her up at 3am wanting treats) but what is really special is that Inigo made Sadie an honorary kitty for this special club too!

There is no actual proof that Sadie and Isabella are both good other than they don't do anything wrong (99% of the time) but I do have proof that I'm a true Angel...

I'll continue to live up to my name and I'm sure my sisfurs will continue to earn their Good Kitty status too. Thank you Inigo for letting us be members of your club!
