If you're up somewhere that you're not supposed to be (per some arbitrary rules that we all know don't apply to cats but beans haven't figure this out yet)...
Just ignore any approaching beans and look away because if you can't see them, they can't see you!
Do you have so called "rules" in your house? If so, what are you not supposed to do? Do you do it anyway?
Hope you have a great Monday!

We do the same. Like the Ravenous Bug Blatter Beast From Traal, we believe that if we can't see you, you can't see us!
That is the perfect resting spot, Angel. I have one just like it! Another favorite place to rest is the dining room table and, of course, the BIG BED. I honestly don't know what the fuss is all about and generally ignore any so-called 'rules'.
purrs,
Sammy =^..^=
Oh Angel Spider and Smudge sit on the table when I am not looking all the time!!!!
I do it MORE if I know it's off limits!!
*RUMBLEPURR*
Yep, just looking away is the best strategy!
MOL!! We think our mom and dad have pretty much given up on the rules with us. We never followed them anyway.
We're pretty sure it's your extra-cute face that lets you get away with things, Angel!
Haha Angel ~ you kitties do seem to live by your own set up rules!!!
The only out of bounds place Banjo can NOT be is up on top of my kitchen chairs. Since he is a bit (ahem...) heavier, his back claws can go through the material. And we had our chairs and table set custom made. No holes please!!! Of course.... when we all are at work what the heck do we know where he has been sleeping! :)
Oh you naughty kitties! But we still love you!
xo Catherine
The kitchen countertop is off limits! So when I walk in and catch Coco up there she stares at me (completely frozen). If I say a word, she hops down and flies up the stairs to hide under the bed. If I ignore her, she's quite content and doesn't budge...lol.
I've learned to leave her alone and invest in Clorox wipes.
I rarely cook anyway...lol!
My cats are so good we don't have rules--that is everyone except Toby the Terrible. He has rules but breaks all of them on a daily basis.
Marnie
Claudia has many that she ignores.
We have one or two rules but we can't remember what they are since we don't pay any attention anyway. You looks great sitting up there Angel and we sure can't see you so we know Mom doesn't see you. Don't ever forget, cats do rule.
Have a great week.
Hmmmm...I don't think Harley has any rules! He gets on the furniture, gets treats everytime he comes inside or we leave, gets people food everytime we eat and pretty much rules the house...LOL!!!
He does have to be on a leash outside though...he tends to think he's a wild dog and run the countryside!
I think my kitty cats - take off their listening ears when it comes to rules. Like don't jump one me at 5am or please refrain from jumping up on the dining table when we have guests! If only now I could teach them to clean the litter box when they are done - guess they have their own set of rules!
That is so funny. Rules are made to be broken!!
Dogs have different rules. I am supposed to stay out of the compost bucket, but, c'mon... there was some great moldy yogurt there this morning. Mom went to get the laundry (out of sight), and you know... the rule is, if she can't see me I can do it. Maggie the Vizsla.
The cats are not allowed on the new dining room table but they ignore this rule completely driving the male person and publicist crazy.
You look comfy Angel!
We have never heard of rules...except for the "Cats Rule" rule!
Mommy say we get away with boody murder.
heh heh.
The only rule around here is that the humans are not allowed to make rules.
BTW, the Word Verification for this comment was "bingr," which is one of my human's nicknames for Binga... and she was the one who made the above rule. So it was already in force before I even got here.
There might be some but since I'm a Siberian, they don't really khount!

PeeEssWoo: Hi Sadie!
I really enjoy reading your blog and seeing all your pets in action. There's a little something for you over at my blog!
There are actually rules for cats?! I was totally unaware of that! There is nothing more inviting than visiting/hanging out on/in/around "forbidden" places, whatever that may be.
My kitties are not allowed to see this post, even though they would so admire Angel's dexterity, innovativeness, and over-all loveliness. No more ideas need for those guys!
Rut roh:) Yes, we have rules, but we are sibes - they just don't mix. Mom says about the only rule that seems to be consistently broken around here by some unnamed pup is pulling flowers out of the pots.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Duke's rule that he just can't seem to follow is no jumping up on people when they come in the door. He remembers with me sometimes but mostly he's just too excited and can't help himself he has to jump
The counter tops are off limits, but They get up there anyway. I get so tired of having to get up every 5 minutes to shoo them off (they will not jump down unless they see me coming). They also like to wander around up there at night. My wife accidentally left some suckers on the counter and she found them the next morning on the kitchen floor, in the living room, and one was even in the hallway by our bedroom door.
We suspect Yum Yum, but have no proof :)
MOL stop by our blog on Wednesday and you'll see one of our "rules" being broken!!
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
The cats in my house do anything they darn well please...
I thinks we trained our beans to gives up on the rules. Only rule I got is that I'm not allowed to eats Squashies fud.
We thinks you're well on your way to getting the same lacko-rules!
That looks like a nice cool spot for laying on! I have rules too! But I'm a good boy...most of the time. Love, Moon
Angel, you are doing the one thing that we aren't allowed to do...get by the big flat screen. If we jump up there, we are immediately shoo'ed down. That's about the only thing we can't do...
Yeah ~ we have loadsa rules but we ignore them all! Tee hee!
Cats rule at our house--there are no rules!
MJ has no rules. And she has her own door, so she comes in and out as she pleases. No walking mommy, but it might be a good idea to exercise the humans...
Handsome kitty! Rules? Are they the things that make mewmie say 'Get Down', 'Stop That' and stomp her feet?
