I think that is our cats' favorite thing about mornings too! We turn down our thermostat to 66 at night and then have it at 68 during the day in the winter.
We've had one of our outside kitties in the house the last few days while it's been so cold! She immediately found the warm spot in the floor where the vent runs :)
Oh yeah! That is the BEST place EVER! We love to lie on grates! We love to cover entire grates with our chunky bodies! In fact, it is the most fun to wander from grate to grate. Sometimes, we just wait by the grates for the air to start flowing. wish we knew where the "on" button is. ♥ Oliver and Earnest PS We think you are very pretty!

My kitties like to come into the warm bathroom with us in the morning. Ooooh, all that warm steam!
My cats park in front of those hot air registers all day long. It's a wonder they don't completely dry out.
