Staying Warm

It's been super chilly in our neck of the woods lately so since I like to sleep in the closet, Mommy leaves sweatshirts and sweatpants on the floor for me to curl up in to stay warm...

And then she tells me over and over that I'm so cute she can hardly stand it.

It's a tough job being cute but somekitty's got to do it!

Taking a Break

Hey there everybuddy!  'Tis the season for Mommy to get too busy to help us blog so we're going to have to take a little break for a few days.  I hope this doesn't become a regular occurrence for her through April or else we'll have to make sure she re-reads the job description for a CPA (Cat's Purrsonal Assistant).  Anyway, since it's cold and rainy, I'll be spending the break right here with the hot air thingy blowing my floofy tummy furs up...

Don't worry, I'll be keeping my eye on the birdies too!

We hope to be back by Tuesday at the latest since Isabella won't miss that day!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday!  Hope you don't mind but I'm going to do my post right here from this particular spot...

The reason I don't want to go to better looking surroundings is because the hot air blowing thingy is underneath these cabinets and it feels good on my Tortie furs and feets...

It's cold in our neck of the woods and I don't like being cold.  At all. 

I sure wish summer would hurry up and get here!

Purrfessional At Work...

Recently my sisfur Isabella showed you how she stays warm on cold mornings but she's an amateur compared to me. I'm a purrfessional warmer upper so I thought I'd show you some of my techniques. First, it's impawtant to get your belly toasty...

Then start warming up your side...

You can even add some back leg stretches at this point...

Be sure to rest if you feel the need...

Now it's time to heat up your back and do a whole body stretch. Be careful, this is a very advanced move...

Oh, ignore the fact that I have morning fur. I haven't had time to give my belly a bath yet today...

After finishing your stretches, don't forget to warm up your other side...

After seeing my techniques I'm sure it's obvious that Isabella is at the very basic level of staying warm compared to a purrfessional like me.

Hey there Isabella. How long have you been sitting there?

I was just noticing that, uh, uh, I can touch my back toe when I'm in this pawsition...

Phew! That was close! I think I'll just lay here quietly and enjoy the warmth...

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday! Today I thought I'd show you one of my favorite places to be in the mornings. It may not look all that comfy and cozy in front of the kitchen cabinets...

But see that little gap between the baseboard and the bottom of the cabinet? This is where the nice, warm air comes out and heats my Tortie tummy on chilly mornings!

Pretty clever huh? Now if I can only get Mommy to put more luxurious rugs in the kitchen for me to lay on. A blanket in here would be nice too.

Warmth (and a Sneak Peek at a Special Visitor)!

I'm spending this Sunday napping on the heater vents...

Who knew such nice warm air could come out of this thing...

Since our Grandma from Las Vegas has been here this past week, the heat has been turned up higher than ever since Grandma is used to much warmer weather than we are. I can finally have a nice, warm bath...

this is way better than a jacuzzi!

You can try to tempt me but I'm not leaving this spot...

Grandma is going back to Vegas tomorrow so I'm staying right here today...

Since Mommy's been too busy with the craft show, we haven't had a chance to mention that we had another visitor arrive Thursday night. Hugo is here! He came here from visiting the Florida Furkids so he's having trouble adjusting to our colder weather too so I shared my vent with him too...

Okay, I should really clarify that our house is usually warm, just not as warm as it is this week and it can never be too warm for me and Isabella. Our sisfur Sadie, on the other paw, would prefer we lived in an igloo!

Our days have been sunny and warm lately but the mornings are still a little chilly so I've found a way to keep my nose warm...
