It's Sadieday!

I'm happy it's Sadieday but really sad about all the people and animals affected by the Tsunami yesterday in Japan. We live an hour from the coast here in Oregon so I have been reflecting about the times I've gone to the beach and looked out at the ocean...

I never imagined that something that looks so beautiful could be so horribly destructive...

But no matter where we are, things can change in an instant so it's important to cherish every moment and live life to the fullest and with lots of love...

That's what I plan to do!

Friday Features

It's Friday Features time! It's also that time in tax season where I'm dreaming of life after days filled with tax returns. One of my recurrent daydreams is being on a tropical island so today's features are inspired by an island getaway. Hope you enjoy my beachy picks!

Our Cat House!

Recently we were given the opportunity to review a Skratchkabin and we took our job very seriously! When we first saw it we thought it was purrfect for kitties. It sort of looks like it was modeled after me!

The Skratchkabin arrived as you see it, except for a toy mousie that is supposed to hang on the front but Daddy hasn't put it on yet. (Good thing we didn't have to wait for him to put the Skratchkabin together!) Here's a picture of Angel on it as soon as it was removed from the box demonstrating the side view and the textured surface...

The Skratchkabin is nice and sturdy so you can sit on it...

and it's big enough to lay on it...

and stare at your Mommy on it...

You can also get inside the cozy cabin...

It really is cozy. Seriously!

We do like our cat house. Angel really likes to scratch on the sides - I'm not quite that coordinated but do give it a try now and then. After a few weeks of use, there are some snags in the outside surface already but that's probably to be expected but we hope it lasts a long time. When the Skratchkabin was downstairs neither one of us would get inside it for long because there was too much going on that we had to observe but now it's upstairs in Mommy's office and Angel gets in it quite a bit. It's dark and cozy in there so purrfect for naps. Speaking of which, I think I'm going to go take one now!

It's Tortie Tuesday and today I'm excited about a special delivery we got!

It's a Super Sized box just for ME!

This box is so roomy and spacious...

One thing about having a big box though is that I can't see what's going on around me...

Shhh. Be very, very quiet...

You know, sometimes we tend to believe that bigger is better but if it's more than we need it often makes us lose sight of what's important. It can also make us leary of what may come and take our big box away.

Mommy put me on Jewelry Duty today which I guess means just watching jewelry and making sure it doesn't move...

Chillaxin on Sunday...

Whether it's football or racing season, anything that gets my Daddy in the Mancave on Sundays for some good quality time together is my favorite sports season...

Sometimes I start napping before I even get in my comfy pawsition...

Now isn't this is the best way to watch cars go round and round on a track...

Sorry for the poor quality of the photos but the Mancave was made for chillaxin, not photo sessions. Another reason I love it!

Stroll with Sadie!

Happy Sadieday! This week I was afraid I wouldn't get to go on a stroll in between lots of rain and Mommy being "too" busy. But I gave her one of those looks...

And it worked so let's get ready and go!

I knew she couldn't resist my cute face and I know she likes my cutie patootie too...

Of course she tried many times to get me to look at the camera again but there's just way too much other stuff to look at...

All our snow is gone and has been replaced by rain. We still have white outs though...

Did ya get it? Ha roo roo! I crack myself up sometimes. Hey, have you ever heard the saying of heads down, tail up?

What's that Mommy? It's heads down, pencil up?

I think Mommy's work is taxing her brain because why would I want a pencil up? Oh I made another funny - taxing her brain! Get it?
