Thanks for all the birthday wishes for our mommy! She had a wonderful birthday at the coast. We didn't get any birthday frosting but we did get ice cream so it was a wonderful day for us too!

Birthday Celebration!

Today is our Mommy's squizillion and ninth birthday! That's cause for a celebration that includes frosting and I sure don't want to miss it...

Of course I'm missing eight naps but who's counting, it'll be worth it!

Thankful Thursday

The noisy strangers finished the deck yesterday. It took longer than expected so we're very thankful to finally have peace and quiet restored during our hectic work days in the office...

We're also thankful that after we get done with work today, we're off until September 5th! We have an exciting week coming up with a birthday (frosting!) and a visit from our Grandma from Las Vegas! We have a lot to look forward to!

Tortie Tuesday

Did you get to see the solar eclipse yesterday? If so, I hear it was amazing. If not, yeah, I didn't either. I was taking my five hour morning nap... 

When Mommy came in babbling something about the total solar eclipse happening at 10:17am...

Seriously Mommy? You woke me up for an eclipse? 

Clearly she didn't realize it meant it was going to get dark and what do we do when it gets dark? That's right. Sleep. *sigh* Anyway, I knew my little sisfur was watching her watch the eclipse because, well, she doesn't let Mommy out of her sight...

See, it got dark! I guess the stars came out too. I wouldn't know. I was sleeping.

Finally Friday

Boy are we glad it's Friday! We're looking forward to a weekend with no noisy strangers. Why just a weekend? Well, progress has been made on the deck...

But they won't finish today so they'll return Monday afternoon after this little event that's happening called the Total solar eclipse. We're in the path of totality so hundreds of thousands of peeps are coming to our neck of the woods to watch it. As a result, the locals are staying off the roads Monday morning. Our Daddy said that yesterday the lines into the gas stations were so long cars were in the street trying to turn in! Don't worry, we have enough foods and treats so we'll be okay! We also have our ISO approved eclipse shades...

We're ready for everything! Especially the weekend!

I didn't want to get closer to the door for fear someone would steal me too. Torties are valuable you know. Just sayin.

And So It Begins...

Noisy strangers showed up an hour ago to, well, make noise removing the boards on our deck...

Isabella doesn't know yet since she's power napping. She'll find out when she comes down for lunch. Paws crossed for new boards and silence by Friday.

August 8th

Today is our mommy and daddy's 29th anniversary! Yesterday we were left alone all day while they went to Mommy's happy place - the coast...

It was foggy and 59 degrees over there (90 here at home) but they had fun and even spotted some whales...

It's obvious from their wedding date that Mommy's lucky number is 8 and being a romantic she loves hearts so we're not surprised she found a heart shaped rock on the beach...

Even though Isabella was less than impressed, Mommy hopes to make it into some jewelry...

I have a better idea for it. Let's just say that little sucker moves really fast when batted across a smooth surface...

We're not sure what they're doing today but we think a celebration should include frosting or at least whipped cream. Seriously.

Weekend Wrap Up

Hope you had a great weekend! I got to do whatever I wanted this weekend because Mommy let me be the birthday girl for four whole days! Yeah, okay, so I get to do whatever I want every day but this time there was a reason. I also got really awesome scritches from my daddy...

He seriously gives the bestest scritches ever...

And tummy rubs too!

Oh yeah, this is heaven on a cat tree...

We hear that there are kitties that don't like scritches and tummy rubs but both of us love them. Do you?

Happy Birthday, Angel!

Today is my 11th birthday! It's hard to believe I'm 11 already when it seems like yesterday I was a cute little baby...

I'm still cute today although I've certainly grown into my beautiful furs...

I'm celebrating my birthday with everything I love including my scratchers, treats, my family and hopefully whipped cream! I'm a very lucky birthday girl!
