Mommy got home last night from Disneyland (Woo!) but to give her a day to relax I'm going to help her today with the EtsyBloggers blog carnival. Erika from Nico Designs chose the topics which includes giving my favorite holiday recipe.
Each year Mommy makes these yummy dog biscuits that she gives to the neighbor dogs for Christmas and of course I get some too!
Here's the Recipe for what I'll call Sadie's Cookies:
Mix together in large bowl and let stand 10 minutes:
1 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup margarine
1 to 2 tsp. instant bouillon
1 cup (4 oz) shredded cheese
1 cup boiling water
Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well:
3/4 cup cornmeal
1/3 cup milk
1 Tbsp sugar
1 egg, beaten
Add 2 cups whole wheat flour , 1 cup at a time, to form a stiff dough. Knead dough on floured surface 3 to 4 minutes, working in a little more flour (1/4 to 1/2 cup). Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut with bone-shaped cookie cutter. Place 1 inch (or less) apart on greased cookie sheet (or line cookie sheet with aluminum). Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 35 to 45 minutes. Makes about 8 dozen small biscuits.
I can't wait until Mommy makes these dog biscuits again and maybe I can get her to make them more times in the year.

What a lucky pup you are having a mommy that bakes you special doggie cookies! I am sure the neighbourhood doggies will be very appreciative!
Woo! Arwen is now drooling after I gave her that recipe! I hope you get lots of treats (but not all at once or it will give you an upset tummy!). I know you want them all at once (so does Arwen), but really, mommy knows best. You give a very nice smile for the camera, I think that deserves a treat now!
How sweet that you give them out to all the neighbor doggies!
Sounds yummy, even though we're not woofies!
