Balancing Act

When you're on a balance beam, it's very impawtant to keep your balance by dangling your paw on one side and floofy tail on the other...
In case you're wondering, my belly is very floofy too!

PeeS: We just want to express our sympathy for all the sad news in the cat blogosphere lately. Yesterday we learned that one of our first furiends we met when we starting blogging, the most beautiful boy, Luxor, crossed the Bridge.
We will miss him very much and will hold him in our heart always. We're sending comforting purrs to his family.

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday which of course is a day I love since it's all about me but today I just wasn't in the mood for a photo shoot. Do you have those days that you look for inspiration in one place...
and then another place...
and then realize you just need to proceed straight ahead?
But then some days it's best to just look for inspiration from a totally different view!
How ever you look at it today, I hope you have a Happy Tortie Tuesday!

Miss(ing) Manners

Sometimes I like to lay on my deck and enjoy the sun...
Often I have an audience...
My little kitty sisfurs don't know it's not polite to stare...
no matter how you look at it.
Hope you have a nice Monday!

Relaxing on Sunday...

We're hanging out and trying to make our Sunday as long as possible since we don't like Mondays. That's the day the trash truck, the recycle truck AND the yard waste truck all come through our cul-de-sac. That's 3 times we get disturbed! Plus, I like to lay on the crinkly paper in the newspaper recycle bin...
But on Sunday, Daddy empties the papers out of my bin for recycle on, you guessed it, Monday! I'll stay here and enjoy the crinkly paper as long as I can today though. Uh oh, I think I hear him coming...
Hope you are able to relax on nice, crinkly paper today!

Stroll with Sadie!

Yay, it's Sadieday! After having a mild summer with temperatures mainly in the 70s and low 80s (about 25-27 degrees for my international furiends), we finally got the hots here for the next week. It's going to be in the mid 90s (35 C) today and although I don't like the hots at all, we're going to go on a stroll early this morning before it heats up. So grab your water and let's get going!
We'll stay in the shade under these trees where it's cooler.
I'll even go slow enough that Mommy can get ahead of me...
but not for long...
Are you coming slow poke?
You'd think I'd learn not to call Mommy a slow poke since it means she has to go back on the leash so I can pull her faster.
It also means the end of our stroll today. I had fun while it lasted and hope you did too! Now we're going to go inside and stay cool while the temperature heats up. Hope you stay cool today too!

Happy Sadieday!
Sadie

Thankful Thursday!

Recently we were the lucky winners of a giveaway from our furiends Banjo and his mom Catherine! At first we thought we won a visit from the handsome Banjo but Mommy said he's in Saskatchewan, Canada so it's a little too far for him to come visit. Banjo may not have been able to come here but we did receive some very nice gifts from him and his mom. It all came packaged in a very nice little box...
Hey Angel, what are you doin' whapping that mouse? Leave it alone for the photo shoot!
Okay, I guess I'll first thank Banjo for the mouse he tucked in our package. As you can tell, my sisfur Angel snatched it right away.
While she's playing with the mouse, I'll start showing you the other things in the box since I'm the purrfessional here. There's a cute kitty journal and some beautiful handmade cards from Catherine that Mommy really loves - she's going to frame several of them. And there's also - WAIT A MINUTE! There's another mouse in this little pouch for me!
Sorry I lost my purrfesional-ness for a second but I got so excited! Banjo is so thoughtful to send us both mousies! His mom was very thoughtful too with sending lots of other stuffs for our Mommy!
Banjo, being the gentlecat that he is, also sent my sisfur Sadie a present too!
Sadie didn't hold still long enough to pose for many pictures and snatched her bone as soon as the end of the package was opened...
She loved every last bite!
And me and my sisfur Angel love our mousies too!
We all want to thank you very much Banjo and Catherine for the wonderful gifts to celebrate your 700 posts! We appreciate them and are very grateful and wish you many, many more posts to come! We are so glad that we have met you and think you are both very special!

xoxo

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday! I love Tortie Tuesday because it means I have a day all to myself! I do share from time to time like I did last week but that was only because it was my little sisfur Angel's birthday. Other than that, it's MY day! Anyway, today I'm going to help my mommy while she beads...
I lay here and watch out for stray beads and just basically hold stuff down and look cute...
Uh oh, I think I hear a non-Tortie approaching!
Yep, I sure did!
Uhm, Angel, excuse me but this is TORTIE Tuesday - not TAILSday!
That's right, you just keep on going...
:sigh:
Well, I hope you have a Happy Tortie Tailsday!

Weekend Wrap-up

We had a good weekend and hope you did too! Mommy and Daddy want to thank you for all the anniversary wishes yesterday! More importantly, I thought I'd show you some of the things I did. Saturday night was movie night so I watched Mommy as she watched the movie...
I didn't take my eye off of her...
I'm a good watch dog!
Right Mommy?
Notice the chair I'm in? Mommy wants to get rid of it but I won't let her! It's perfect for movie night Mommy watching!

Enjoy your Monday,
Sadie

PeeS: We want to give a bark out to Khyra's mom Phyll. Phyll has a huge, caring heart and is a tireless supporter/advocate for animals. She transports dogs every weekend across Pennsylvania to help them get that one step closer to their furever home. We admire her efforts so much we were proud to sponsor her 2nd of 2 runs yesterday in memory of Reebok and Panther who were born on August 8th and would have been 22 years old that day. If you haven't met Khyra, her Khousin Merdie and Phyll, please be sure to stop by Khyra's Khorner and say Hi!

Sunday Celebration

Today is our Mommy and Daddy's 22nd anniversary! Since their Gotcha Day was 8-8-88, we had Edi from Memories for Life Scrapbooks make them an album so they'd never forget their day...
and they'll never forget how young they looked a squizillion years ago either...
Thanks Edi for making such a great album for our mommy and daddy! We all really like it very much! We really like the ribbon on it too!
Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy!

We'd also like to say Happy World Cat Day to all our kitty furiends and to all the honorary kitties too like our sisfur Sadie!
Here's a link to our post from World Cat Day 2009 about the kitties before us - Reebok and Panther.

Have a great Sunday!
